The blurb of the book sounded interesting, especially the part from the mysterious Anonymous. The beginning of the book seemed promising.
Unfortunately, the book wasn’t quite what I expected from the blurb. The story itself had potential, but in my personal opinion, it would have needed more work and editing.
I hoped to see more world and character building, as well as character development. Personally, I didn’t feel the chemistry between FMC & MMC, and I honestly didn’t understand what the FMC saw in the MMC. Their interactions felt mostly weird and awkward.
There were some characters mentioned only a few times, and it was never clear to me what their purpose was, even though it felt like they were supposed to be important for the story.
This is both a debut novel and the first book in a series. Maybe some of the questions will be answered in the coming books.
The story had potential, and after some work and editing, it could be a 3-star read.
I want to make it clear that these are just my personal thoughts and opinions about the book. I have nothing against the book or the author, and I’m sure that there are a lot of people who will enjoy reading this book, but it just wasn’t for me.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
This didn’t affect my rating, but the number of grammatical errors unfortunately made the reading experience unpleasant for me. I understand that an ARC is not a finished copy, so a few grammatical errors are fine, and I can look past them, but, for example, the amount of mistakes with “their” vs “they’re”, punctuation, and misspelling of words unfortunately made the reading experience quite frustrating and, at times, confusing.
This book was an excellent debut novel from the lovely Mrs Buckner! There was plenty of excitement and twists to keep you needing to read another chapter and then another! I love Blair, the FMC, but can we just give Kiana her own book?!? 😄 Who doesn’t want a best friend like that?!?
I love where the author took this story…there is a huge cliffhanger, and waiting is going to suuuuuck lol, but wait I will do because I’m drawn in and only the next book can save me!🤭🤭
Twisted Desires is the debut novel by T.S Buckner, it grabbed my attention from the very beginning and held on. Multiple POVs which I LOVE!! Absolutely love Blair the plus sized FMC, she’s sweet and it’s impossible not to like her. The character development is great. Her best friend Kiana, I swear we all need a best friend like her, she’s loud, crazy and loyal. All the twists and turns 🤌🏼 The only bad thing is having to wait for the second book. 😭😭 I need MOREEE!
This was such an interesting read! It had everything one could want in a book. There's spice, mysterious men, and loyal best friends. I was hooked from the start. I need book 2 noooww because that was on hell of a cliffhanger.
I really enjoyed reading the many twists and turns! T.S. Buckner took my emotions on a roller coaster and left me wanting more with a cliff hanger.
I absolutely loved the romance built between Blair and Ryan. They had depth to their characters and really made you feel all the emotions as they developed as characters throughout the book.
And the cliff hanger really shook me! I need more.
I had high hopes based on the summary. It sounded like my kind of book. It started off really good, then it just started going down hill. Generally, with a stalker book the author gives you some sort of insight as to what the obsession is. That is not the case in this book. You have no idea why he’s obsessed with her. She was also very vague on Ryan’s business. Almost like she couldn’t explain exactly what the dark side of his business was. Every time Ryan tried to “explain” to Blair it was just a shady business partner that was into shady stuff. I guess it’s an easy out. Then the whole thing with Ryan stalking her after he found her, and her calling him her “shadow” - very cringe. In that part of the story I would even go as far to say that it seemed heavily inspired by H.D. Carlton’s Haunting Adeline. Ryan’s bad boy persona, the possessiveness and dominance were way too forced. I feel like the author had to try way too hard to make him that way, and honestly it didn’t even vibe well with his character. There just wasn’t any information given throughout the book, so it all seemed kind of pointless. Oh and don’t let me forget to mention the absolute HORRENDOUS editing job, more specially the use of there, their, and they’re. I’m sure there’s more. I tend to point it out in my head while reading and then forget everything when I go to write my reviews. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone. If the next book had been available, I’d probably still read because I don’t like leaving series unfinished. Since it isn’t, I’ll likely forget about it.
This debut novel from T.S Buckner really had me going through it while reading. The twists and turns had me so into it that I had to keep reading to know what was going to happen next. I really loved how the build up to everything that was happening was put, it really built the anticipation. I have so many questions about what will happen in the next book that I can't stand it! I can't wait for the next part of this series to be released because I am hooked! This book ends on a cliff hanger that will have you second guessing everything! I really enjoyed the character development of our FMC Blair, I never would have thought she would go through so much and be able to stand on her own. She goes from someone who is timid and needs protecting to a person who can handle her own and wants to be the protector. Our MMC Ryan had my heart for the simple fact that he never gave up on Blair, he wanted her affection but also asked for her consent in a way that gave her an out if she ever wanted it. The FMC BSF Kiana is a firecracker! Everyone seriously needs a friend like that! That girl is ready for anything! From eating cake to grabbing a drink at the bar to the extreme of going to war for you she's down for it. I would really like to see a book of her too. Overall this book is for those who love some spice and all the action! I can't wait to see where this author takes us next!
Firstly I must say that this story has a lot badass people in it and each one of them has their own grade of morally grey (and definetly one has it dark really dark, almost black).
This story has two timings, the first chapters are from 10 years ago when we get to know a Blair in love with Ryan, whose relationship ends when she almost die in a car crash.
Now she lives in a different town and owns two bakeries with the help of her best friend Kianna.
I won't explain more because it's better if you read it but she is still in love with Ryan, and he is still in love and obsessed with her. But there is a third person here, he stalks her and thinks she is his, so we'll se how he tries to get her.
With a cliffhanger like the one we found here, i'm asking for the second book already.
- Thank you T.S. Buckner for giving me an arc in exchange of an honest review -
This book is a mystery stalker romance book, but so different than what I expected. We meet Blair who has just graduated from Culinary school and is in love with her boyfriend Ryan, but little does she know she has a stalker in her life.
The book has mystery in it with an anonymous stalker in it. I have to say I do love Ryan due to all the stuff that happens in the book he never gets over Blair and everything he has done in the time apart is to keep her safe. But I have to say I really like Anonymous we later find out who he is, I have a soft spot for him even though he’s not a good guy🤷🏻♀️. I love all the other characters in the book specially her best friend Kiana she’s a firecracker who will do anything to keep her friend safe or what she feels is safe to her.
The book ends in a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!!!
Twisted Desires is T.S Buckner’s debut novel!! I literally read it in a day, I could not put it down!! It’s multiple POV, which i love! The character development is soo good, and there’s always the mystery!! I cannot wait for book 2 to unveil some of the questions I had about Draco or anonymous as he’s known throughout most of the book! The cliffhanger she left on us definitely has me ready for more. The twists and turns that lead you up to the end will definitely have you questioning everyone and everything 🤣 ughh I need more 🖤🖤
Side Note: I received this arc by the following author !!
This was such an amazing book I finished it in 2 days because I couldn’t put it down . I love the characters and the storyline . I rated it 4 stars and for spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️..
This book does end in a cliffhanger.. It is set to be released April of 2024 . I recommend everyone to add this author debut to their TBR you won’t be disappointed:)
Twisted desire was so good. From plot to character development it had me captivated from page one. This book grabs your attention keeps it as you go through twists and turn. You start to question what you know and everyone in the book. While it is multiple POV it is easy to read and follow. The downside is with the cliffhanger I have to wait for book two.
Oh man!!!! I don't know where to start so many emotions... I'm so angry at her best friend but more so mad at the MMC who was suppose ro love her enough to set the world on fire which his enemy is willing to do. Now I'm here rooting for the villian which I love a good villian anyway, but I really hope she ends up with Draco. We shall see TS left us with that hugh cliff hanger :(

This book was.. interesting. It had a lot of potential but I ended up DNF it at 80% because I just couldn't push through it anymore. I did NOT like the FMC and MMC together. Their relationship had no chemistry and was hot on moment, then cold the next (not in a good way). Events seemed to be thrown in without any flow to the story.
There is no character building or back stories. It feels very rushed and there is a anonymous guy randomly who wants her for some reason at the beginning and then I got to 72% and hadn't heard a peep about him. I couldn't do it, there needed to be more editing. The story had so much potential but the editing and writing ruined it
I absolutely love this book! I couldn't put it down! There's twists and turns! I love all the characters, especially Kiana! She's a wild child! Also, I love the fact that I share the love for the same place that is mentioned in the book! I can't wait for book 2!
Twisted Desires is a unique tale with equally unique characters. TS leaves us hanging on every word awaiting what is going to happen next. What I personally thought was quite fascinating was the way TS lets us into the characters personality through show don’t tell. Certainly a good read.
Twisted Desires debut novel by TS Buckner was absolutely amazing to say the least! It grabbed on and took me for a ride! It kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole thing and I couldn’t put it down! The cliff hanger at the end has me desperately awaiting the second book! I can’t wait!
Wow, what a book! This one kept me on the edge of my seat! It was sometimes sweet, sometimes spicy, and had plenty of plot, twists, and action. That cliffhanger at the end, though, is having me begging for book 2!
Really wanted to enjoy this book after hearing so much about it, but it was such a huge let down. It honestly felt like reading something from a school project😭 there was so many times I had to reread sentences because it just didn’t make any sense whatsoever
I went into this ARC blind! It has a pretty big cliffhanger, so the wait for the next book is gonna be tough. I can't wait to see where TS takes this story! She came with all the action at the end!
This book is the perfect blend of dark romance meets psychological thriller. I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to read the next one because that cliff hanger at the end was brutal!
I loved this book. ❤️❤️ You will fall in love with the main characters. The ball scene 🥵🥵. Y'all are going to love the ending and want the second one done right now.
