Evan could have been the one.

Head over heels, I was ready to bet it all on him, on us. But he shipped off overseas without ever hearing my truth.

Years later, he comes to me, hurting in more ways than one. He shouldn't be anything more than a patient at the practice. This military man isn't the boy I once adored. But medical charts don't explain away the temptation.

We're taking a second chance, risking my residency for a few rendezvous. We're charting the stars that led us here, trying to find where it all went wrong.

Thanks to the stories left untold, our crossed paths lead to crossed wires for a second time. But I won't risk my love again without a reward. He won't slip away from me so easily.

Evan will have to know about my once-broken heart, my pregnancy, everything.

Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime as these completely off-limits, forbidden doctors take you on an unexpected romantic ride. Loads of drama, action, heart, and heat. And the Sofia promise of the most satisfying HEA ever.

Overall I liked this book. Gypsy and Evan have a past together. They come across each other again. Things between them are messy and their relationship is complicated. Thankfully in the end everything works out and they get their happy ending.

Liked it but didn’t love it

Gypsy and Evan are very combustible. The story flows nice but I felt like the two main characters didn’t talk properly to each other. And Gypsy forgave Evan way too easily. Their HEA was sweet once they finally talked to each other. It took Gypsy’s mother to finally get the two of them to open up to each other.

Written in the Charts. Wow! This book was great. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down. I was caught up with the characters and their emotional issues. Evan had a lot of issues especially trust issues because of a past girlfriend. Gypsy had a secret that kept her in turmoil. Evan came back to Yellow Springs after being deployed to Afghanistan. He came back to surprise his girlfriend friend only he was surprised when he found her with another guy. It destroyed him. While overseas he injured his knee but didn't want anyone to know because he planned on going back overseas. He was doing everything he could to hide the pain. He tried hiding it from his superior officer. So he went back to his old doctor's office and bumped into Gypsy at the office after seven years. She was handling his case but Gypsy thought it might be a problem becauseofthehistorytheyhad. Evan didn't care because he still had feelings for her. They started dating in secret but Gypsy had a secret she had not told Evan yet. But when she does, all hell breaks out and life is not the same for them. The characters go on a roller-coaster ride of emotions that will break your heart. Read about how Evan and Gypsy work through the pain of mistrust and jealous to find their way back to a happy ever after. ! secret pregnancy 2nd chance doctor patient romance

SPOILERS ALERT

Let me save you and tell you if I could rate this a 0 I would . This book was probably so infuriating and the only reason I kept reading is because I hate not finishing a book but the way Evan the male main character kept being so verbally and mentally and a tiny physically abusive was such a red flag

SPOILERS ALERT

AND THE FEMALE CHARACTER HAD NO BACKBONE !!! He yells at her and accuses her of cheating and he can’t communicate even let alone she had a miscarriage alone and he made it about himself and at the end she WAS LIKE FINALLY HE TOOK ME BACK? Like girl Gipsy you deserve more than a guy !

SPOILER ALERT

Evan needed therapy but instead the author gave him Gipsy to be his punching bag mentally and emotionally like excuse me the guy yells left and right like ok ur dad died . Ur ex cheated on u , you have leg problems . GO TO THERAPY ! Women are not a therapy for men !

SPOILER ALERT

Honestly I have never given a book such a low rating and mind you I’ve read books by this author I’m not sure she why she wrote such an infuriating book with so MUCH Miscommunication and the fact his gf gave him MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES TO TALK ABOUT HIS FEELINGS AND HE ACTED LIKE A TODLER MIND SHE NAMED HER SON DILLON WHICH MEANS HOPE !
It’s sad to see women lower themselves for men

Normally I would never review so low but I had to it was absolutely awful I wish someone told me not to read it

Written in the Charts is Gypsy and Evan's story and I almost put it down several times not planning to finish it but persevered. When the story centered on them, their relationship and family and friends it was good. But when it was all about the sex and steamy moments it didn't cut it for me especially when the sex was because they needed it even though their relationship was floundering or almost nonexistent at the time. Sex-driven plots without the stories to back them up are not my cup of tea.

The story is told by each of them in alternating chapters. The characters dated in high school and then circumstances pulled them apart. Gypsy (not a fan of the name) has a secret that she has kept for seven years. When they meet up again, their actions could destroy either of their careers but they secretly keep meeting and doing the dirty deed in very inappropriate places. It was definitely hard to understand their actions and their sometimes childish behaviors.

Trust is a big issue between them as is their trouble communicating. There is a happily ever after in the offing helped by the epilogue. I liked that we met up with Maggie and Derek and see how their lives have progressed after the birth of their twins.

Frustrating characters 3*
This is the 3rd book I read by this author. Whereas the other 2 were much more to my liking, I was frustrated by the character flaws of the protagonists, Gipsy a final-year medical resident and Evan a soldier. For one thing, the author’s description of the steps needed to obtain a medical degree is in my view seeped in misconception. To the best of my knowledge, online courses do not form part of a medical degree, which is a very long, very hard slog throughout. Being a physician’s assistant or having a first degree, at least in England gives you 1 year of grace at the most at Medical School, but certainly not more. Gipsy is a total pushover. If a guy talked to me like Evan did to Gipsy, I would have kicked him “from here to eternity”!! Evan has a terrible problem with his uncontrolled rage and unsubstantiated suspicions. He could certainly do with some anger management, for it is a miracle that his colleague and doctor friend, captain Jones still talks to him. He is not averse to physical violence towards his other friends either. He is not a likeable character and even though through no effort of his own, there is a HEA with a cute baby. In spite of the steamy scenes, I found this book difficult to read.

This is the 2nd story in the Forbidden Doctors Series and in this one we get to discover how a high school couple, Gypsy and Evan find one another as adults with their own journeys coming together. Gypsy and Evan had plans to attend college together only for Gypsy not getting in and Evan leaving and eventually going into the Army. Years later he has an injury that he’s trying to recover from hoping to get a promotion service overseas. Gypsy has been left alone to deal with the fallout and losing her baby focusing on getting her degree and becoming a doctor. When Evan returns he’s full of anger due to being cheated on by his ex and learning she was not pregnant with his child. These two risk a 2nd chance in secret as Gypsy is Evan’s doctor off base. They have their ups and downs and Evan has issues he’s never dealt with and when things become complicated he does not react well sending Gypsy into upheaval all over again. When love conquers all for these two it’s a sweet ending! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Forever Takes Patience, Trust And Forgiveness -
Gypsy never got over her love for Evan or the loss of their child when she was in her teens, so when she got the opportunity of a second chance when they met as adults, she grabbed it with both hands. Their attraction to each other was epic, which made it obvious they definitely belong together. However, as they tried to rekindle their lost love, they had to overcome a few difficult situations, that would have tested the patience of a Saint. I kept asking myself as I turned the pages, how their new relationship could possibly survive Evans temper tantrums, but as the saying goes, love is blind and forgiving.

The drama, angst, secrets, sizzling, intimate, panty wetting moments and interesting storyline, had me glued to the pages from the moment I started, until I read the final word. I urge you to grab a copy of the book and enjoy a few enjoyable hours. This book is a definite must read.

Gypsy Gardener is a resident with Dr. Marshall. She also works with her two good friends Derek and Maggie at Holistic Health.

Evan Miller is in the military but has a bad knee. He gets an appointment with his old family doctor, Dr. Marshall.

Gypsy and Evan share a past. They had a fling just after high school about 7 years ago. Evan up and went into the military without telling Gypsy. Gypsy found out she was pregnant right after Evan left. She never got to tell him abut the pregnancy and then she miscarried in a very painful and traumatic way. The baby girl was stillborn and Gypsy named her Chloe. She saw Evan at Derek and Maggie’s wedding but they didn’t talk.

Now she ends up treating him in Dr. Marshall’s office and they end up going to dinner.

Will Gypsy get in trouble for going out with Evan? Will either of them trust the other enough to tell the truth about their pasts? Can they and do they want to have a future together?.

This book was a little difficult for me to get through. The miscommunication was a bit annoying, which happens a lot in books, so that’s fine. But the lack of research got to me. If you are going to center things around the military, do some research. It’s really distracting when things are not even close to what really goes on. How people refer to things, where they LIVE, the rules, or even the parts where a patient just pulls a pant leg up for an exam and an injection. Civilian or otherwise…that doesn’t happen. It’s just distracting to have so many errors.

With that being said, it wasn’t as bad as the 3rd book and I figured being the 2nd book in the series, maybe they will get better as the series goes on. I haven’t actually looked to see how many books this author has written prior to this series, but do think research and an editor would really benefit these stories. Slow down a bit in how quickly the books are released.

Written in The Charts is a second chance romance that follows Evan and Gypsy.

Evan and Gypsy were high school sweethearts but life, circumstances and tragedy tore them apart. Evan left and joined the military without saying goodbye leaving Gypsy to deal with life and a devastating loss. Now seven years later they are face to face the chemistry is still there but both are carrying past hurts, trust issues and secrets. Can they work through everything or will new secrets and old wounds derail everything once again?
I loved Gypsy and how strong she was and I even liked Evan most of the time but if he treated me like he did her and others I wouldn't of been so forgiving.

Evan and Gypsy have a history together and it didn't end well. Now years later he is back in town, and she is studying to be a doctor while interning at a clinic. This is where she runs into him again. They secretly start dating and it explodes when she shares a secret she has to keep. This sends Evan into a tailspin because of trust issues he has due to his ex-girlfriend. Can they find a way to be together and work through his trust issues?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This was not bad, just not a favorite of mine. Evan was a hot head that played the victim of every circumstance he lived and nothing was ever his fault. He would blow up on everyone and no one person FMC or side characters held him accountable. He never really apologized (he said sorry, but did the same thing immediately) and as soon as he was not angry he came back and everything was great again. The one time Gypsy did try to hold him accountable and said she was not in the mood for make-up s€x - he forced himself on her. I am a fan of dark romance & forced proximity, but I did not like how this happened, it felt gross. I plan on continuing the series, because I liked the other characters in the book.

I have been waiting for this book and couldn't wait to read about Evan and Gypsy and I was not disappointed. Evan and Gypsy dated in high school ,but when he takes off for the Army it's Gypsy who lost everything. Now he is back but he has been through so much with ex that he doesn't trust women at all but when he sees Gypsy again will their secrets come out or will it happen again? I absolutely love Gypsy and felt bad for Evan but he wouldn't get that many chances with me.

This is a well written second chance romance with our main characters being Gypsy and Evan. These two were once high school sweethearts who get another chance as a HEA - but will the secrets of the past and the scars of their hearts keep them from a forever love? Sweet and steamy with strong characters and a storyline that flows smoothly and is completely captivating from start to finish. Loved this romance read!

She has worked hard and only has months left in her residency, when Gypsy crosses paths with Evan. Will she give Evan another chance? Or will their past wreak their second chance? I enjoyed Gypsy and Evan's story, Gypsy was easy to love (although she probably takes too much blame for things that are not really her problem), and Evan is a nice enough man but he is a bit too full of anger (and sometimes frustratingly so). I liked the friends that Gypsy has around her too.

I've read a lot of books written by Sofia T. Summers; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is part of the Forbidden Doctor’s Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Gypsy & Evan; years ago they were together but then he shipped off overseas; now he’s back after getting hurt. She’s a doctor and is there to take care of him; old feelings resurface putting her residency on the line.

I was up and down with emotions while reading about Gypsy and Evan. A young love separated by years due to trauma on Evan's part, he never learns the devastation that Gypsy went through until he comes across her at his best friends wedding. After heartbreak of his own, he finds it hard to forgive her for not alerting him to her current and previous pregnancies, but is finally able to give her and the baby his all.

This is a second chance romance - the story of Gypsy and Evan.

While I found the overall story to be great, I don't know that I really cared for Evan. He was a bit too angry, and quick to judge or jump to conclusions. I mean, everyome has baggage, but most don't immediately throw that onto someone else.

And though I felt Gypsy forgave him much too quickly (and often), as I said I overall enjoyed the book.

Lots of angst and tension. Lots of feels.

This is a well written second chance romance with strong characters in Gypsy and Evan who were once high school sweethearts. The author does a great job developing their story and pulled me in with all the secrets along the way. She gives them a steamy chemistry and growing love. She moves the story fluidly and delivers a terrific read.

Extreme anger, emotional, the past butting into the present, very steamy with lots of ups and downs. Gypsy is interning with the local doctor while finishing her last year of medical school. Evan was sent back to the base in his hometown to rehab a knee injury. They hadn't seen each other in seven years. This is their story.

This is a good story from beginning to end. The story is about Evan and Gypsy, who have some history. He returns home after being deployed to Afghanistan hiding an injury and discovering his girl friend with another man. He was hurt in more than one way now and left with trust issues. He runs into Gypsy when he goes to the doctor. Feelings and more develop between them. This is a good read. I really like the characters.

Disappointed - couldn't like the characters

I usually like Sophia summers books, but I couldn't understand the appeal of these 2 characters. Evan was angry and hostile all the time and pushed Gypsy for sex. He wouldn't take no for an answer. Gypsy took Evan's anger no matter how destructive he was. I wanted there to be a time when Evan was sympathetic but it is missing. Very disappointed.
