The teaching of yogic practices is a new experience for students, teachers and beginning teachers alike. This book is intended to serve as a guide to lead from the unknown territory of teaching Yoga to the known territory of successful and efficient teaching of yogic practices. Dr. M. L. Gharote born on 21-5-1931 is M.A., M. Ed, (Phy.), Ph.D. (Anthrop.) Ph.D. (Alt. Med.), D. Litt., D.Y.P. He specialised himself in Physical Education and varied aspects of Yoga like Scientific research, Literary research, Yoga training, Yoga therapy. He received various prestigious honours and awards including one for medical research in Yoga. As an author and co-author he has to his credit 16 books on Yoga and more than 100 scientific and literary papers on Yoga.
He has extensively travelled world over and participated in International and National conferences on Yoga and allied themes. Some of his books are translated in German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese languages.
Some of his books are award winning. He has been advisor to Yoga Teachers Training Programmes in Europe and Latin America. Foundation of The Lonavla Yoga Institute (India) With such a background and wide experience in varied aspects of Yoga and inspired by visionary activities of Swami Kuvalayananda he was prepared to start Lonavla Yoga Institute (India) in May 1996.
After retirement of Dr. M. L. Gharote from the services of Kaivalyadhama, he preferred to establish Lonavla Yoga Institute (India) in Lonavla where the scientific Yoga movement was started by Swami Kuvalayananda.
