Secret Baby for My Ex’s SEAL Brother

Rate this book
I didn’t know the luscious woman I savagely devoured that night, was my brother’s ex-girlfriend, and is now pregnant with my baby.

All I wanted that night was an escape from the trauma haunting me since my SEAL days…
and the mess my ex-wife had left for me and my son.

Instead, I realized it was my baby brother’s freshly minted ex-girlfriend I had just wildly overtaken that night…the one he was still in love with.

Two days later she showed up outside my office, reporting for duty.
Now she was walking around in my business and in my head…all the time.

I tried keeping my distance by being an absolute prick.
Yet each divine taste of her sinfully curvaceous body, made me lose even more self-control.

Remembering she was off-limits got even harder when she became the only one ever to calm my panic attacks…and the only one my son ever called mommy.

And finding out I was going to be a father for the second time was all I needed to finally claim what was mine, even if it meant redefining loyalties.

***

“Secret Baby For My Ex’s SEAL Brother” is a scorching enemies to lovers, billionaire boss, age gap romance in the Billionaire Silver Foxes’ Club Series. Please note there are a few mentions of PTSD panic attacks and a brief mention of a war scene. Each book is a complete stand-alone with no cliffhangers and a satisfying happy ever after.

Should have DNF’d at the 50% mark

Please do not spend your time or money on this book. The overall plot was incredibly weak, the characters had zero depth and the editing was horrible. It felt like it was AI written, very robotic, and didn’t flow at all. I have never written a review on a book but this was SO bad I had to warn others.

A lovely, well written story, with a slow build steamy romance, great chemistry between the characters, secrets, ex-SEAL with PTSD, misunderstandings and a great HEA.

Having split with her boyfriend, Casey, of 2 years, Mia goes out with her friends for the night and is invited to dance by tall, hot mystery guy. As their evening becomes more passionate though, she recognises him as her ex's older brother, Christian. She thought trying to forget about the evening would be easy till she goes to meet her new boss following a merger and it's Chris.

Christian, an ex-SEAL, knows his brother still loves Mia so tries to deny his feelings for her, but having her working as his new CTO ends up with the attraction becoming harder to ignore. After she looks after his son for an evening, he keeps being asked when Jacob can see her again; and he finds she's the only one who can help him out of his PTSD blackouts. With his ex-wife causing him grief and the stress of the company merger, Mia is the one good thing in his life. When he gets an invite to a tech event she's the only one he wants to take; but can they keep it professional while away and how long can they keep their feelings secret from Casey?

Alright, this is a no for me. The story is too painful in my opinion, just knowing that the brother (the ex) still loved her and she really didn’t care about it. It was only 2weeks-a month of their breakup. The hero also just said with words that he cared about his brother and his brother’s feelings. He didn’t exactly portray that by insisting on staying away from the heroine, he always seemed to find himself in lust and bed with her????… long and short, in no circumstance would I ever pray to be siblings with such people. The betrayal is just unnecessary and unnecessarily painful. I mean, that’s not the only woman on the planet, and she wasn’t even bothered about the damage it would cause to the brothers, knowing just how much they both cared for each other without their parents in the picture. The ex wasn’t even a bad person, so why the hell put him through such a horrible nightmare when he was still licking his wounds. I’ve read other ex’s brother stories, this one just robbed off badly, horribly and selfishly. If you’re looking for an escape from this mean world and therefore choose to read, this won’t help you, it’ll only remind you of how cruel and selfish humans can really be. WHICH IS WHY I’M LEAVING NO STAR AT ALL. THIS BOOK SHOULDN’T EXIST IN MY OPINION.

Still up in the air!

Not that I didn't like the book,I did like it,but I thought Chris was a jerk and felt like women were put on earth to be mean to,to be left to take his crap and push to the curb until the next time he needed her.Sorry but that's how I feel,I know that Chris had a lot of mental issues and who wouldn't and he did his best to take care of them and made sure that his son wasn't effected by them, but when Mia who was his brother's ex tried to help him, turn her down but she did try to stand by him until he push away.He came back to her again and she took him in again until he found out her secret which she did plan on telling him but with everything going on in life their wasn't a time to tell him and when she got caught in a burning building and pass out didn't give a chance either.Mia was good for Chris, she relaxed him,she had a claming effect on him and it help his panic attacks when he wasn't pushing her away! All I can say is read the book and form your own opinion, I did finish the book and I could sense a change in Chris by the end of the story!

Quick read

Reading the description, I was highly intrigued by this book so I bought it. After finishing it now, I’m not sure if my purchase was worth it.

Mia and Chris already knew each other. Though they didn’t want to be attracted to each other, they kept falling into a pattern of having sex and then regretting it.

Though feasible, I felt like that storyline was over played by the author. There wasn’t a lot of substance in between when these incidents happened to give the story a real plot line. The book was also not well edited. There were numerous grammar and spelling errors peppered throughout that indicated a rushed job of publication. The formatting was also weird. Paragraphs were mostly only 1-2 sentences long, even when it was descriptive details and not conversation between characters.

I was originally going to give this book a 2, but the last 20% of the book probably had the best plot going for it. I almost DNF, but I’m glad I did. I may give this author another chance, but right now I’m not sure I’d read more by them as of yet.

Needs work, possible spoilers ahead.

I admit, I skipped a lot in this book. Why? Because it was extremely boring and predictable. Felt like I had read this story before.

Mia was with Casey, they broke up and then she got with his older brother Chris. Chris was a Seal and is now a divorced father of one. Of course the author has him "suffering" with PTSD and taking medicine. Then to top it off, the ex-wife is going after him for custody. Then the drama of Chris playing hot and cold with Mia, all because of the brother Casey. Casey had told Chris a tall tale of woe after he and Mia broke up. Add in three random acts of violence towards Mia, a surprise pregnancy, and a win in the court. Chris and Mia live happily ever after.

I regret reading this book. I wonder if the author is a real person?

I don’t know who would ever give this story even 3 stars let alone 5. Did a child write this??? The story is so chopped up. The MMC is a complete jerk pretty much the entire story. Like literally the ONLY redeeming quality was he came to the MFC rescue like twice. The MFC.. my lord lady get a backbone! He treats her like crap and OPE we just have sex again and again and OPE I’m in love. Dude literally drops off the face of the planet without telling anybody including her and returns after 2 weeks and says some crap like ‘I had to soul search’ and OPE - he’s so hot we have sex. So irritated I wasted my time on this book.

Ehh...

First things first... I read the whole book. Which is more than I can say for a lot. However, I felt like this book was written by a late teen early 20s author who was guessing at 'grown up' situations and emotions. Everything was very surface level. It gave me the ick when during spicy scenes, the male anatomy was constantly referred to as his "member." I don't know, but it just didn't do it for me. The premise of the book was okay, and the writing in general was good for a beginning author.

I read it from Kindle Unlimited, but I would have been disappointed if I had paid for it.

way better than the first of the series

First off, all of the problems that I had with book 1, were not there. The time lines match for the most part. Except for his military time- no way was this book able to be set in present day and mmc was in desert storm.
He is brooding ptsd laden dad, she is cto and kicking butt. They have a lot of baggage to process, and just like tsa, everything gets searched and rifled through.
This book is 2x as long as first book, there is better character development and it feels like hea is always right around the corner.

I don’t know that I will search for this author, but the stories are def worth the quick read.

This was a cute read. I enjoyed it but I did find it a little repetitve but still a good read. I liked the ex's brother aspect and the sneaking around trying to hide their situationship from every, it put a little bit of an edge to getting caught into eveything. I liked how he always seemed to battle with his inner thoughts and his heart, and how everything played out in the end. It was an all around good story. If ex military and keeping it in the family is your interests definitly check this book out.

The second story in the Billionaire Silver Foxes’ Club and the first story I have read in it. Mia Thornton has just broken up with her boyfriend Casey when she goes out for the night with her girlfriend and meets Christian Hamilton. whom she has a one night stand with. Imagine her surprise when she realizes he is Casey's brother. I found their story with its ups and downs to be well worth reading. This is a new Author to me. After dating Casey for two years without seeing any path to marriage Mia ends their relationship. On a girl's night out, she lands in a one-night stand with one hot guy only to find out that it is Case's older brother. If that isn't enough, she is the CTO of the company he just merged with. Tried as he wanted, he could not leave Mia alone especially since she could handle his PTSD and is good with his son. Do they have a chance for happiness.

Probably Dont

This book has a great base line of a story. And did I read it all the way through? Absolutely I did. But truthfully, the whiplash of this book has me needing a neck brace and it is overly redundant like a children’s book. There are a lot of grammar mistakes and inconsistencies throughout the book as well which tells me it definitely needed more editing. But there were some fun points in the book and if those things were fixed this book would be great. The spicy scenes are the best part of the whole thing.

This is the second book in this series, and this is former Seal Christian, who suffers from PTSD, and his brother’s ex-girlfriend, Mia’s story.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, billionaire boss, secret baby, enemies / lovers, romance, emotions, tension, challenges, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner.

Wanted Better

I absolutely hate leaving reviews that don't show how much I love a book, but unfortunately, this book missed the mark. The idea of the story was great. I just felt like Chris was very wishywashy, the amount of times he changed his mind was overdone. Between the grammatical errors and the confusing timeline, I could not fully enjoy this book. I, also, felt like a little more research should have been put into this book, as some of the information didn't add up.

Good premise poor execution

Pro - The plot of this story feels like it could be a great one. I enjoyed the story.
Con - Super choppy character development, odd sentence structure/word arrangements.

Transitions were in short supply and the author jumped from thought to thought, scene to scene with odd abruptness.

By the time, "I love you's" were said, I found myself wondering when it had time to happen.

Overall, it was a good premise and there is potential!

OMG 😳 the cover is one HOT 🔥, HOT 🔥, HOT 🔥Hunk. I could very easily fall head over heels in love with Chris. The book has some of the best sex scenes, suspense that will make your head spin and your heart skipping a beat not knowing what will happen next for both Mia and Chris. This book has lots of really FANTASTIC chapters that once you start reading it is going to be the death of you if you have to take a break. Once I stopped all I could think about was finish reading this book.

Ugh the double spacing on kindle with every sentence made this already ho hum book even more irritating to read.

Didn’t care for either characters, repetitive thoughts, lots of unnecessary sex scenes that took the plot no where. She gets pregnant later in the story but doesn’t tell him right away and then he goes ballistic - so much work for this dude…

🥴

The writing in this book was elementary at best. It hurt my head to read the repetition. It was like reading the thoughts of a four year old that just can’t “spit it out”. I’ve never been this cruel in a review, but it had to be said. I have only ever dnf-ed a book once, this book was a close second.

Confusing start and mfc has no personality

This book was annoying. The way it started was so confusing. Then it was all about the mmc and some really annoying toxic behavior where the mfc didn't seem to have much depth. The whole relationship felt like it was just based off of spice and the woman catering to his every whim. Not for me.

Excellent read !!

First time reading this author and I really liked this story. Had a good plot with plenty of turmoil and of course the oops baby !! This book was written a little different I felt with the MMC. He seemed more like the emotional one whereas the FMC had almost the level head !! I really couldn’t put this one down !!

Loved this book!!

If you love an enemies to lovers, this is your book!! Mia and Chris are so cute. They both start off with hate and confusion as well. Like they want each other but they shouldn't. They hate the fact that they are so attracted to one another. Which makes the situation funny. I mean I understand how they both feel since her ex is his brother.

Good for a time filler

This author is new to me that i founf on KU. The read isn't terrible, but it is a lot of spice and filler type writing vs storyline and content. I do like the HEA ending.
Overall, it is an ok read to pass time, but I would not pay for it.

I decided to give this second book in the series a chance even though I didn't care for the first book. Unfortunately, this wasn't any better. It just fell flat on sparks between the main characters and the plot felt too rushed to build a proper connection.

Secret Baby For My Ex's SEAL Brother

This is the first time I've read anything by this author.
Secret Baby For My Ex's SEAL Brother was a great read by Valencia Rose.
It was very angsty!
PTSD is a issue handled respectfully in the book.
There is a HEA!

Just Lacking

I really hate to give bad reviews but unfortunately this story just falls short.

They characters are lacking any real depth or connection. The story felt disconnected throughout and almost rushed.

Okay

A good amount of heat but a bit frustrating with Chris' inability to commit. When he finally gets his head out of his butt, the story gets good.
It is a bit on the long side at 550 pages.

I feel as if the story was drawn out by ALOT. I feel like if it was a little shorter I would have liked it more. I also wish it talked more about her pregnancy and the child growing up more than it did. Overall it was a pretty good and fast read
