Fastlander Fury❤️🩹
Gunner finally gets his story and it’s all I thought it could be and more❣️
Gunner has messed up badly with his previous Crew. He’s now a loner and trying to leave Damon’s Mountains, but his bear has him tethered to the place which makes leaving that much harder. He happens upon a gas station and overhears something about a woman, who is in the gas station at that moment😳 His bear won’t allow him to leave and when he meets Hallie for the first time and their eyes connect, he and his bear freeze😍
A great story that I loved and I really enjoyed getting to see this side of Gunner and Hallie was absolutely perfect for him🤩 I look forward to the next book and finding out more❤️

Holy cow …… starting off with a BANG!!!
I didn’t even pay attention that this was the start of something new. Who would have thought that we would get this one that would totally gut me in the last few pages. I mean holy crap, did it make me cry at the end. I wasn’t expecting that change to happen!!
While I love my C-Team books, this one had a special place for me. I have been hoping and praying that he would get his happy ever after and redeem himself. Little did I know, it was going to take a tough as nails, survivor, determined to have a life woman to get him to figure it all out. From the beginning these two were just throwing all kinds of sparks and heat.

*WARNING* Best for mature readers due to sex and violence.
Oh my gosh! I adore this story for Gunner!! Gunner was originally in the Warlander crew, but his broken bear made that impossible. This story is beautiful. It's 2 broken people finding each other. The beauty is how they both heal the breaks for each other. Gunner is beginning to find himself and in doing that, he is also starting to fine his place in life. I would recommend this book because it's amazing. I can't wait for the next one.

Gunner’s homecoming
Whew…I hadn’t expected the direction of this story but as always it was perfect. I love Bash from Damon’s Mountains being in this book and all the feel good moments of things aligning. The FMC does experience and is fleeing domestic abuse so please be aware of this trigger. She is set free and the bad guy gets his dues.

Hallie was really going through some things in this one. It was great when even though he didn't want to, Gunner stepped into help Hallie. It was the start of something for them. The cookie meeting took a turn for the good as both shared hard things from their past and from then on, they were smitten, even as both fought the pull.
I liked how Hallie gave Gunner things to think about on his past and how he them made moves to do something about it. Gunner in turn was able to be someone strong at Hallie's back and had many allies to help, something that was needed.
It was nice to see Gunner's old crew bring the gift they did, it was a perfect start for this new couple.

T, you seriously NEVER cease to amaze me with your stories!! I’m ALWAYS all in with them! My only problem is, I could keep reading about each character forever, and although the stories may seem long to you writing them, they are never long enough for me ❤️ So excited for the next series! I just know we are gonna get some special crazies in this next crew!❤️ Absolutely can NOT wait!

Gunner and Hallie
This is a wonderful novel, shifters or not! Gunner and Hallie are both an emotional wreck going somewhere to happen. Together they grow, mature, and learn. The reader gets a chance to watch them both as they educate each other and learn from each other. A lovely introduction to a new crew!

another hit
What can I say, I have full body goose bumps, what a story and surprise!!!! I love the characters, and our old friends visiting, just makes it more special, T.S. Joyce writes stories with heart, humour and truths, I gained it in less than four hours, what a page turner, and one hell of a read, the issues in this I’ve lived through, the green bruise stage is vile, so seeing comeuppance given, makes me happy

my poor heart
I’ve been waiting so long for Gunners book and it didn’t disappoint. The way the author and these characters get to me is insane. I will always love Tera’s books and I will always have her back. I have never read a book of hers that I didn’t love.

Fastlander Fury
This is my first book by this author and whereas this book tells the story happening fine on its own, it feels like there are dozens of references I'm missing. So. Now I'll head back to the beginning of this world and start reading from there.
Both main characters were solid. They've got dueling traumas that they work on together. This poetic interaction sums up the beginning of their relationship well,
“Stay one more day.” He repeated the same words he had said last night.
“And then what?” she answered, repeating the words she had responded with the night before.
“And then we’ll see.”
This is a great approach to dealing with trauma in general, taking each day one at a time.
I'm adding to this review 10 months later after reading all the books that lead up to it. This is one of my favorite authors ever. I laughed throughout her series which is such a gift for a reader. I love this redemption arc. This is his turning point,
"He was a shifter with nothing to lose anymore, because his entire life had revolved around causing damage.
What a beautiful temptation to fix something for someone, for once, instead of destroying them."
And I love how all these characters feel everything so strongly but they still accept each other, learn from mistakes, and get along in the end.

Might be time to stop reading TSJ, books are formulaic…did not care for Hallie she stepped both feet in TSTL…as a survivor of a physically abusive mother F@$Ker…I thought Hallie was super stupid…I had zero sympathy for her and thought she made her bed by her poor choices…I don’t know how many ways it can be relayed you cannot reason with abusers…oh and Cadence is still a cunt for what she did to Gunner…

Fastlander Fury begins the Fastlanders series as we meet Hallie and Gunner, both looking for an escape from their past for different reasons… reasons that put them right where they need to be to connect with the one person who “gets” them.
I am so glad Gunner got his story told. He’s a broken man in so many ways, trying to leave Damon’s Mountains in the dust of his mistakes… but his bear won’t let him. And good thing, too, when he stops for gas and overhears a chilling conversation that will put Hallie in his protective (even as he fights it) path. They are both carrying some heavy burdens from their pasts, and each wants closure and to plan for nothing beyond the moment. As they fall, they’ll have plenty of “moments”… and I loved every single scene.
The passion is hot, the characters engaging, the tensions intense, and the love growing between Hallie and Gunner is precious. I loved how Hallie interacted, became friends with Gunner’s former crew, and how she stood up for him in so many ways. Let’s just say that the villain got exactly what he deserved, but I do hope one blue dragon didn’t end up with a bellyache! *wink*
Fastlander Fury by T. S. Joyce is a well-written dive back into the Damon’s Mountains world with yet another crew. I loved the interactions with familiar faces, smiled at the memories of their individual stories, and I’m looking forward to meeting a new crew. If you love your shifters hot and grumpy, and their mates sassy and stubborn, then you’ll love the Fastlander crew. Enjoy!
As always, I look for and love finding the 1010 references early on in their story. But holy emotional endings with maybe an ugly-cry? Yeah. Perfection for this couple.

This is the first book in a new series. Gunner has messed everything up. They should have just put him down. He can’t leave but he doesn’t know what to do here. Hallie is running. She met a man who was so sweet but it turns out that was just a front. Really, he is controlling, abusive, and manipulative. Gunner and Hallie met when he is getting gas and overhears a man planning to take her. She manages to attracted his grizzly. That is probably the last thing she needs but he has no control. As they get to know each other he finds that she offers him something he desperately needed. Understanding. She only knows what he tells her and he is open with her. Hallie just realizes that just because you know something is wrong or bad doesn’t mean that you won’t do those things. Everyone is going through something and she doesn’t have it in her to judge him for what he has done. The pair gravitate towards each other. They are helping each other in different ways. Could they have a future together? Hallie’s ex isn’t just going to grow tired and leave her be though. Gunner and his grizzly are going to protect her. Will that be enough? I loved this book so much. I can’t wait to see where this series goes. Fantastic job T.S. Joyce. These characters are wonderful. I highly recommend all the T. S. Joyce’s books.

These are short, entertaining shifter stories.
No real depth and if you haven’t read all the previous books about Damon’s mountains, you could be left feeling confused as to who some of the characters were.
Sex, more sex but no real conversation between these two.
Yes, Hallie and Gunner exchange stories but I just didn’t feel any click.
Needed more resolution and clarification of his out of control bear settling and being more stable due to Hallie’s presence and not being under Lucas’s control, as Gunners bear is obviously an alpha in his own right.
In ch 11, when Gunner goes to his old crew to apologise, Hallie says she doesn’t know any of the mens dominant animals except Gunner’s bear, but in ch 10, earlier that evening in the bar, Gunner told her about when they were all younger and about Lucas’ gorilla, a blackback.
And I hate TSTL idiots. How did Hallie think she could deal with Derek on her own. Idiotic thinking. She knows he’s violent and unstable.
I really cannot believe they won’t be hassled by Dereks family. All those witnesses in the diner will say they met up.

Gunner Walker is in trouble his bear is out of control and he’s waiting to be put down ever since he burned his friend’s trailer park to the ground, he wants to leave Damon’s mountains but his broken bear is keeping him here. When he overhears a phone conversation his protective instincts kick in and a human woman is now in his sights.
Hallie Carter’s past is catching up with her and she’s tired of being hunted so when a stranger gets shot for her she knows it’s time to run again, but there’s something about the stranger that makes her want to stay.

He's still a total alpha badass with some serious issues. Gunner meets Hallie and although he fights his attraction for her, the chemistry between the two is undeniable. Hallie is on the run from her abusive ex. Hallie is stronger than she thinks and on the road to learning her new self to mix with remembering the old self. She stays with her cousin Corey. While Corey helps Hallie rebuild, Gunner is the one who sets her free. It's a crazy journey to their happiness. The backstory is extra good. What they end up doing for each other will have you laughing, crying and cheering them on. Happenstance, fate of whatever you call it, I love this book. Filled with action, drama, twisty angst, hope and crazy WTF. Also extremely tingle worthiness.

**after reading book two in this series, i really recommend it. The story goes on and its worth it. I just highly highly recommend finding the series before this one and reading it first***
I would have rated this higher but....
I don't feel like this is really a standalone. I really felt like I missed out on some BIG things and possibly ruined a series i should have read first??
There is clearly 5 or 6 shifter books i should have read first. The reason they give for his past transgressions make no sense. Clearly missing some serious history in this book.
I really did enjoy the story. Its short and sweet. 🌶🌶🌶 open door but left me wanting a little more. Little more chemistry. Little more back story. Little more romance. Little more about controlling his bear and why he blacks out? A little better ending?
This book feels like i randomly opened a large book and read a random chapters near the ending, but didn't finish.

This one hit hard
This book was very emotional for me personally. The characters were so RAW and honest, and it was beautiful to feel that with them. The author is absolutely brilliant and made it so easy to connect with the characters. I felt like I was in the mfc and mmc's heads, and it was so emotionally charged. I can't possibly describe all I felt reading this, but the immediate connection (NOT instalove) is what made this story so beautiful to me. How two broken people can heal each other through blind trust in each other, I truly can't express how hard this hit me! It was a beautiful love story, with everything one should have(including steam). I will definitely be on the lookout for more books in this series.. by this author in general! I RARELY leave reviews, but to me, this was a masterpiece! Thank you, Miss Joyce❤️👏

Love love love 1010 for the win
Love Gunner and Halie! I was rooting for them even though I know it's silly. I love how they brought out thef fun and lighter side of each other. So many things I loved about this story. I smiled a lot while reading it. There's A lot of heavy parts in it but they share those parts with each other. Damon shows up and lights up the sky! I love when he shows up because that means he cares and takes care of his people. Of course its also scary when a dragon is in the sky especially during the day. When the mountain had Gunner and Haley's back you know it's going down and she is now protected by everyone! The ending was fantastic and you have to know 1010 was going to bring something special! So excited for the next journey!

Loved it!
This book is filled with beautiful broken characters, finding a new way forward together. Another incredible start to a series by TS Joyce! Gunner has had an entire series of broken behaviour and I truly wasn't sure how his happy ending was going to look, Hallie is such an honest character, her backstory is so believable and so sad. I loved their banter and how throughout while they try to move forward it's slow, and a bit damaged, their happy ending was hard fought. And even though there was a little bit of a miscommunication and a break up, it wasn't overplayed or drawn out because it truly felt how the characters would react and it worked really well with the story. Honestly just loved it and I can't wait for more!!

Gunner is a giant screw up, and after an eventful stop at a petrol station, Hallie has caught his bear’s attention. Or at least her stalker has.
We’ve got protective vibes and soul bearing in this one. It’s the usual insta attraction, but it does play out a little differently, and it was a nice mix up. Gunner knows he doesn’t have the world to offer, and the plot reflects that.
This one had less resolution that we usually get from these books. It’s a HFN, but Gunner and his bear are still a giant mystery and out of sync. It does have an epic ending, full of all our old favs from this generation and plenty of action. The found family elements are coming together, but I’m guessing we’ll see more of it as the series progresses.

Hallie Carter was on the run from her controlling, abusive ex when broken grizzly Gunner Walker stopped Hallie’s ex’s thugs from capturing her and taking her home with them. His bear wanted a fight and was glad they seemed game. Hallie let the fight but when Gunner was shot and ready to go further, she put a stop to it with a taser.
Gunner’s damage and Hallie’s damage meshed to a relationship that worked for them both. As Gunner told Hallie all the bad things he’d done, Hallie didn’t judge him convinced Gunner to apologize to the Boarlanders. But now that he knows where Hallie is, her ex bombards her with mail and message. After Gunner sees them, he challenges Hallie’s ex. Thinking she’s helping, Hallie’s cousin blabs the original plan. Now what?

Was so excited to see that Gunner's story was out. Had to finish the book I was reading, but as soon as I finished it last night, I opened it up today. So glad I did! Shor,t but overflowing with emotions, spunk and HEA's.
Hallie and Gunner were made for eachother. Strong enough to survive bad situations and come out stronger, alone or even better, together.
Incredible character depth as usual, and the world is always a joy to come back to.
Love that a new crew is assemblying. Just like Lucas, Gunner is goig to have to work to keep the crew together.
Always consider this author's work well worth my time and $$.
I know it will be yours as well.

Another good book in the series
This is book one of the Fastlander series, however, its main character Gunner is formerly of the Warlanders pack. His bear is fierce but hurts due to some bad timing with his former BFF Lucas and Candace. Gunner tried to burn down his former packs homes. We find Gunner getting fuel for his motorcycle when he overhears a conversation that is just not right about a woman in the store named Hallie. Gunner wants to walk around fast, but his bear wants him to protect Hallie. His bear (aka Fury) takes control and saves Hallie from the stalker. Their journey begins there. Read On!
