I want a Genie

This was a super short loud out loud read full of steamy romance and I loved every single page of it!

Zeno calling her Whirlwind was just the cutest thing ever!

This book is like texting your ex at 2 AM—messy, regrettable, but weirdly thrilling in the moment. The romance had me questioning everyone’s life choices, and the characters? Let’s just say therapy would do them wonders. While I can’t say I loved it, I also couldn’t look away. Three stars for the chaos and the commitment to the bit.

I love a good paranormal romance and I have to admit a genie is a first for me, which is surprising now that I think about it because my generation grew up on Disney's Aladdin. You'd think there'd be more genie smut! 🤷‍♀️

The cover was totally cute, I'm just a sucker for illustrated covers, and the title was funny and also incidentally the story of my life. So how could I not read this?

We have Bethany (22), who gets loaded drunk and happens to find a genie lamp and proceeds to astronomically waste her three wishes on her drunk whims.

We also have said genie, Zeno (72000-ish). He immediately develops a crush on this whirlwind of a woman who treats him as a person for the first time in his exceptionally long life.

We get to watch their relationship develop while they navigate the consequences of Bethany's poorly thought out wishes. Cue the Benny Hill music.

This book is cute and charming and fast paced. It's perfect to read after you've finished a longer book or perhaps after reading something heavier and want something a little lighter as a palate cleanser. Quirky and hilarious, this will hit the spot.

Her subsequent wishes, driven by whimsy and intoxication, dramatically reshape her living environment and her interactions, adding a humorous touch of magic to her life. As Bethany explores the possibilities of her wishes, she develops a complex relationship with Zeno. Typically unemotional and bound by his duty as a genie, Zeno finds himself deeply affected by Bethany's vibrant and chaotic nature, leading to an unexpected transformation for both. Their interactions blend humor and a growing romantic connection, challenging Zeno's existence as a genie. Sweet and steamy genie age gap romance with lots of humor and a great outcome for all involved. Lovely mix of laughs and love.

OMG...F*CK MY LUCK is a seriously hilarious,laugh out loud, instalove, OTT, age-gap, curvy girl gets her virgin blue genie romance. Bethany is a 22 year old funny and sassy, curvy girl down on her dating luck. After being stood up on a date, her friend Nancy takes her out drinking. As she comes home, she falls and finds a lamp in the bushes. Zeno is the hunky blue genie who lives in the lamp. When Bethany rubs the lamp and meets Zeno, she thinks it's a drunk dream and wishes for burgers, sex toys, and to be irresistible to men... Zeno tries to warn her to no avail. The walk of shame in the catsuit had me dying and the pick-up lines🤣🤣... Zeno is enamored with Bethany's beauty and caring nature. As they fall in love, can they really have a future and make love work? This was such a fun and silly, light-hearted read. I loved Nancy and wish I had a blue Zeno too!! Holy Hotness 🔥🥵🫠. I loved it!!

A fun story about the wishes made while drunk and then seeing them in the light of day with a hangover. This story doesn't take itself seriously, but if full of sexy times and lots of humor and the sweetest cinnamon roll hero ever. I couldn't help but have images of the genie from Aladdin in my head while reading this and sadly it wasn't the Will Smith version. I loved the perfect ending with everyone getting their wishes granted and having the happily ever after ending that looks different depending on who you are.

Steamy, Funny Genie Romance

Genie romances are usually fun because the MFC is usually a nonbeliever and makes silly wishes. F*ck My Life, includes these situations but very different from any other genie romance I’ve read. I laughed out loud a couple times and fell in love with the genie, Zeno. He’s adorably clueless about modern life but adapts quickly.
Once Zeno has acknowledged his devotion to his “master”, Bethany, goes beyond granting her three wishes, this unique novel really turns up the heat.
A “shorter” story (not really a novella but not a full sized novel, either) with lots of surprises, laughter, and a wonderfully unique ending that I really enjoyed.

This is one of the most original romances I’ve ever read. Bethany stumbles across a magic lamp when she’s drunk and meets Zeno, the genie. I laughed out loud when she made her three wishes and I kept laughing. The book was hilarious. And the zexytime scenes were super hot, yet sweet because Zeno is so new to human ways. For my Safety Squad, no worries- this book is Safe with no cheating or S.A. I loved this funny, hot book and I highly recommend it.

Hooked me from the very start!

Girl, this book!

I don’t know how you made the genie sound so appealing, but dang! 🥵

I love love love short reads, and this one is right at the very top with my other favorites!

So many scenes had me giggling and some were just jaw dropping sexy.

Loved the respect of genie culture and knowing that they were an important part.

There isn’t anything that I would change in the books, aside from the men 😒 my only question is, does the spell on the men end as soon as he’s human? Do they still “love” her?

I liked Nancy, and the part where Bethany had her 3 wishes. It was so funny.

It’s a good and light read. Okay to read after something heavy/sad.

I didn’t expect the ending. I am not a fun of how the ending was written.

It’s a short book so very fast paced but that’s what you should expect out of a quick read. It was written really well and the author did a good job of remembering little details that I personally enjoy and I will be looking forward to longer books from this author and I think this would be a great book for people trying to get into reading more.
