The Campground Kids get their feet wet on this oceanic adventure as they explore Acadia National Park. After their whale-watching expedition on the Unsinkable II, the family picks up Noah, Ethan’s smug cousin, as they head to Duck Harbor Campground.
The next day, the group returns from an early morning hike to find the campground completely deserted! Noah uses his trusty amateur radio to signal for help only to find that a hurricane is bearing down on their location.
Can The Campground Kids find protection from the storm, guide an oil ship to safety, and prevent an environmental disaster in Acadia National Park?

Books are okay if you are around age 8, but not as engaging for older readers. My older children read them, but them because they are quick to read and keep hoping the author will make better plot choices. Felt it was weird that the cousin causes lots of trouble and then disappears to the mainland without suffering any consequences. The method they to use to clean the oil spill was neat.
Good, clean kids book. No language and parents are capable, kind, and looked up to. The story has peril, with good outcomes. Writing is good, but not riveting. A hurricane is coming toward Acadia National Park - kids join forces with adults to guide an oil ship and protect the environment.
