Norwegian Folk Tales: Volume Two

Rate this book
The best of these matchless tales are presented with the original illustrations by two of Norway's most famous artists, Erik Werenskiold and Theodor Kittelsen. Working closely with Asbjornsen and Moe they expressed in their drawings the very essence of mood and feeling in the stories themselves. Witches and trolls, sly foxes and great bears, romantic princesses and countrylads-turned-heroes are all here, as alive in the illustrations as in the imagination and tradition of the Norwegian people.

I've always loved folk tales since childhood and still love now, specially if the tales come with very beautiful and well done illustrations. Here you can find some simple and "happy ending" tales, most with animals just like La Fontaine fables.
