DELIGHT CUSTOMERS AND MAKE A PROFIT

Though there are millions of certified project managers throughout the world, industry surveys overwhelmingly report that projects are not on time, not on budget and not on scope. But are these results reliable? Are these measures of success worth aiming for? And if not, what should replace them and how could they be achieved repeatedly?

In Project Dynamics, entrepreneur and professional services expert Shane Anastasi dissects what's really happening in the world of customer-facing project management. He explores the intimate relationship between customer and service provider to debunk the triple constraints as an effective measure of a project's success. Born from real-world experience in software and consulting, he defines more productive goals achievable through a combination of customer leadership, commercial knowhow, and behavioral psychology. The result is a groundbreaking approach to delighting customers while achieving profit without losing consultants to the effects of burnout.

Whether you're a rookie or a seasoned professional at delivering customer projects, Project Dynamics is a must-read for advancing your craft and achieving extraordinary results.

Shane does it again! This book does a great job of identifying the success factors of a services engagement. It goes beyond the traditional budget, scope, schedule constraints that seasoned professionals and practitioners are aware of and addresses the success criteria from multiple perspectives - most importantly the service provider, the customer, and the consultant.

Managing projects successfully is a science and an art. In this book, Shane helps you get comfortable with picking up a paint brush and learning practical techniques in driving a successful engagement. Defining services provider success as achieving target margin was an important "aha" moment for me.

I am already working on steps to implement the learnings from this book to our practice and I look forward to reaping the benefits.
