Yes, it was stupid. But it’s not like it isn’t something every girl in the world has done at least once before. I can hear my mother’s judgemental voice inside my head saying, ‘well, you’re not every other girl in the world’, and I roll my eyes, trying not to look at the white paper bag that’s sitting on my passenger seat. As much as I try to forget about it, and move on, it’s like it keeps creeping up on me, until it creeps right up my throat, and I find myself kissing porcelain while I’m on a date with Maverick Harris, one that I never agreed to in the first place. It takes him longer than I guessed to figure it out. But, shocking me, he doesn’t run. And I can’t figure out why, until it’s too late.

She’s nothing to me. A bright, pretty girl, a dime a dozen, in fact. But the words come out of my mouth before I can stop them, and the next thing I know I’m sitting across from her, having lunch. Trudy tries to keep something from me, but it’s difficult to, when she’s got more eyes on her than I do. And what’s more, she doesn’t know it. But it’s not pity that draws me to her. Trudy isn’t delicate, and she refuses help, even when the most terrifying thing drops in her lap. The day the envelope arrives is when she caves, and that’s when my family steps in. The scumwad hasn’t got a prayer coming after her. And God help him if I get there first. But that’s all before the golden nugget fails, and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is no longer there. That’s when we think he’s got nothing more on her...but he does.

About the author

Sandra Alex is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, and immigrated to the United States in 1978, to attend an intensive English course in Iowa City, IA, with additional training in transcription of spoken recordings, book editing, and English-Portuguese-English translations. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she currently lives with her husband. An entrepreneur turned creative writer, Sandra worked for ten years towards the publication of her first book while raising a daughter, starting up and running a successful software business with two partners, and consulting for major television studios. Currently, Sandra runs the small production company, Shoot to Film (www.shoottofilm.com), and has launched Livre Press, Inc. (www.livrepress.net) to support her career as a self-publishing author.

This is book three in The Harris Brother’s series and it is Maverick and Trudy’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Trudy has had a crush on Maverick ever since she met him but she didn’t think that she was good enough for him or that he even noticed her at all and then Trudy finds out that she is pregnant and she didn’t want the baby at all so she didn’t know what to do next. When Maverick met Trudy he thought that she was cute, beautiful and interesting so he decided to ask her out for a meal but what he didn’t expect is for Trudy to suddenly become really sick and then he found out why. Maverick is so protective of Trudy and is determined to make sure that she is safe from the man that is not only stalking her but also the father of her baby and causing her so many problems which is stressing her out which is unusual for Trudy. The more time that Maverick and Trudy spend together the more they become friends and the harder it is to stay away from each other but neither are prepared for the feelings that start to happen and just when they realise that they are in love with each other and things are going really well the danger is closer than they both think and then you get a cliffhanger ending that will throw you completely for a loop. I absolutely love Maverick and Trudy together because they are so perfect for each other but will they get the happiness and future that they both want and deserve or will it all be taken away from them. Wow I absolutely love this book and series so much and I couldn’t put this book down because not only was it a real page turner that had you on the edge of your seat but also was really addictive and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Trudy & Maverick's story. 

This ends with one heck of a cliffhanger! I only suspected part of it. Can hardly wait for the final book to see what all will happen. 

Trudy and Maverick met at a wedding. She developed a crush on him but is certain she's too inconsequential for him to ever be interested in her. Since she's best friends with Freya, who's dating Maverick's brother, there's a certainty they will meet again. 

She "accidentally" bumps into him at a restaurant, where he's already seated. He asks her to join him. He does ask her out for a dinner date. On that date, after only a few bites of food, she suddenly rushes into the bathroom, where she proceeds to vomit. Worried about her, he follows her in. It's then that he guesses what she had just found out earlier that day: she's pregnant. 

There's some big problems concerning this pregnancy. First and foremost, she never wants to be a mother by birth, marriage, or adoption. Also, the pregnancy was a result of a one-night stand with one of her clients from the bank where she works and a man she now dislikes intensely. He's also a man who wants to legally force her to carry the baby to full term so he can take custody of the baby. 

Maverick works with his father and brothers in their multibusiness empire. Normally a woman would never interfere with his work, but he can't walk away from her. He does have something in common with her, something he doesn't want his father to know, at least not now. Normally he doesn't get involved with women, other than brief affairs or one-night stands. So what's so different about her?

Caught is the third installment in the Harris Brothers series. Caught is the tale about Trudy and Maverick. When I first read the blurb I became captivated with the story right away. I'm thrilled to have the chance to read this amazing book, which I found to be quite entertaining and enjoyable to read. I absolutely enjoyed reading Caught which I thought to have a phenomenal plot, wonderful characters, and the final outcome is absolutely fabulous. Author Sandra Alex writes fantastic romance story which I found to be quite a pleasure to read. Caught is the first book that I have read by this author, and she did NOT disappoint me in anyway whatsoever. In fact, I enjoyed reading this book so much that I could easily reread the book again and not get bored with reading it. Caught is definitely a book that I would recommend for anyone to read who is looking for a book that will capture the reader's attention right from the beginning. I'm looking forward to reading more books written by this amazing author.

The characters in this book were developed very thoroughly. It wasn't simply the relationship between them readers got to see blossom, but the characters themselves. The Harris family dynamics were highly chaotic, especially if you're part of a small nuclear unit, and their interactions ranged from humorous to outraged, and everything in-between.

There are definately cameos from Freya & Ethan, as well as Caleb, though Laney not so much. With Freya being Trudy's best friend, this isn't too surprising, and of course Maverick's brothers gotta make themselves known. Declan even pulled himself from the office, although it may lead him into dangerous territory of his own. Simply put, I can't get enough of this family and their crazy lives. Stay tuned for Declan's story coming next!!

I voluntarily reviewed a gift copy of this book and highly recommend it to others. These are sequential novels and need to be read in order for greatest understanding and enjoyment. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

Caught is Book 3 in The Harris Brother’s series. It's a steamy, opposites-attract, secret pregnancy, girl gets her hunk romance. Trudy is a young girl who works at the bank. She is Freya's best friend. Maverick is another hunky Harris brother and businessman. He typically does not do relationships but is drawn to Trudy. When he finds out she's pregnant and the father is a jerk, can he keep her safe? This story had love, hot chemistry, mystery, and drama. While our couple does end up together, we end on a pretty big cliffhanger with events I did not forsee. I hope they get their HEA in the next book. I can't wait for Declan's story next!!.

Another Harris Brothers story, this one is Mavericks. Maverick is a busy man, he is involved in the family business and with the additional family challenges going on, he has decided to remain single. Trudy is Freya's best friend and she gets into some trouble that brings these two characters surprisingly close. Da is on a roll with getting these boys to settle down, looks like Maverick is next. This was a great story but was heartbreaking at the same time. Everything in life happens for a reason, it just may not always be evident at first. I look forward to finding out what happens next. Maverick is next on Da's list to settle down, and he's fighting it every step of the way. When he meets Trudy, there are sparks, but he's not gonna fall. They're just friends, at a point in time when she could use one. There was some heartbreak in their story, as well as the suspense and threats that come with his family's wealth and position. Another wonderful story by the Harris Brothers. We follow Trudy and Maverick. He is attracted to her and when she is in trouble and she initially wants to solve it herself but eventually accepts his help. The author has given us a great story and she takes us on a beautiful journey that Trudy and Maverick make.

Trudy and Maverick's story is realistic and unpredictable. Trudy is crushing on Maverick, but he is a busy man with a lot going on and doesn't feel like a relationship is in the cards. When Trudy finds a way to spend some time with Maverick things begin to happen and soon we find him forging a friendship and trying to protect her. This story has so many layers and the author keeps us on our toes and turning the pages for more.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters are well developed and very likeable. This is the third book in the Harris Brothers series. This is Trudy and Maverick's story. Once I started reading it I didn't want to put it down. A definite page turner. I don't go into details since I don't want to spoil this book for anyone. I recommend reading this book.

This is the 3rd in the Harris Brothers series and just like the first two books, this one was good as well. It's a relatively short book and I was able to finish it in two sittings. Lots of twists and turns and plenty of tension and spice. You won't be disappointed.

Trudy & Maverick: Book 3 of Harris Brothers: Great characters with an exciting and suspenseful storyline. These can be read as a standalone, but they are heavily interconnected. Each book leads into the next, and I recommend reading in order. Excited to read Declan’s story next.

Ooh! This was the mother of all cliffhangers! And I hate that I have to wait to know what happened! I have a lot of questions and no answer!
Please, hurry with the next book!

But, despise of this, was a real pleasure to read it!
A good mix of romance and mystery, and a lot of feelings with the undercurrent of danger.
And, not to mention the hot scenes!.
