As a long term sufferer of pain, I was interested to see what this book offered. Some of it I already knew because I've been doing a lot of reading this year, some of it was fresh. Chapter 3 the power of words touched a part of me that I didn't even know was hurting, the throw away remarks from others. Telling us about her own painful journey and how she now copes with it, and how she has managed to control it, and more live life through it, is inspiring and encouraging. Lots and lots of advice that is easy to follow and brings about change. A great book.
Well researched and clearly written. Divided into digestible chapters, which leave the reader full of hope. Not a panacea, but a recipe to live a full, happy and productive life, despite lugging around the albatross of chronic pain.
This book takes a comprehensive look at chronic pain. The emotional and physical toll it takes on your life and body. It then dives into a complete 360 viewpoint on along and managing chronic pain. Helpful resource.
