Back in Time: A Short Story Inspired by My Own Journey

Rate this book
Ever pondered the familiarity of faces you see each morning, always in the same places, always at the same time?

Elara Stone certainly did, and she transformed this simple observation into a delightful and inventive narrative. While her novels, "Corporate Femdom" and "Lalaurie," are steeped in arousal-driven plots, this short story is a breath of fresh air. It transports readers back to Stone's student days, where in the routine of her daily commute, unexpected stories began to unfold.

This tale offers a playful glimpse into the minds of many men who, beneath their day-to-day public persona, are innately submissive. These are men with a longing to surrender, to entrust themselves to a dominant, assertive woman. Some, driven by deeper urges, even tiptoe into the tantalizing shadows of BDSM.

This story showcases Stone's unique ability to draw stories from everyday life and craft them with a hint of whimsy and intrigue. It’s a different kind of treat for her readers, offering a lighter tone and style than her more intense novels. With a blend of creativity and astuteness, Elara Stone teases out a tale of casual observations turned captivating insights, reminding us that everyone has a story, no matter how briefly our paths might cross.

Elara Stone, a luminary in the realm of erotic fiction, masterfully entwines the delicate threads of dominance, submission, and the human psyche in her tantalizing tales. Hailing from Minneapolis and currently ensconced amidst the serene snowy mountains of Vermont, Elara's vivid narratives arise from her profound comprehension of human emotions, further enriched by her own dominant nature.

An alumnus of the University of Minnesota with a Master's in Creative Writing, her storytelling prowess is evident in novels like "Corporate Femdom"—a compelling tale of power play within corporate corridors. Elara's writing palette also includes personal reflections, as in "Back in Time", which provides intimate insights into her transformative life journey.

However, Elara's works transcend mere eroticism. She crafts characters and plots that allow readers a mirror into their own depths, touching themes of love, identity, and the equilibrium of power in relationships. Her genuine portrayal of emotion lends a palpable authenticity to her tales.

Beyond her literary avatar, Elara embraces motherhood with grace, nourishing both her child and herself with healthy eating habits. Vermont's tranquil vistas, combined with her feline companion's company, often spark her inspiration. "Elara Stone", her chosen pseudonym, mirrors her essence in this genre, intertwining grace, mystery, and indomitable strength.

To readers seeking an immersive literary sojourn, Elara offers a gateway into worlds where sensuality meets profundity, where characters live and breathe with compelling authenticity, and where the boundaries of dominance and submission are explored with finesse and depth.

A Quick Fun Read

Ordinarily, I would not pay $3 for such a short story, however, after reading other books by this author that were SO good, I was happy to support her with this purchase. Indeed, I would have paid more. Oh, and this story was really good as well!
Highly recommended.

Discover yourself through daily bus rides.
This book “Back in Time” by Elara Stone is not a boring long novel, but a very captivating short story.
The author, with her beautiful choice of words, takes me back to, not only her but also my own student days. At that time, I still had to discover a lot about myself, although I already knew that for some reason I was attracted not only to pretty students, but also to slightly older women. Especially when they radiated a dominant attitude, that aroused my interest. Though I never dared to approach them.
Just like the author describes, I was also busy discovering who I was. I was anything but dominant, even though I sometimes pretended to be.
The way Elara describes her daily bus rides in the morning and the world she sees, makes me feel like I am there myself. And I am sure that many will experience this too. Once you have read this book, it is difficult to resist the temptation of investigating and buying one of her other books. Especially if you have a submissive character like me, this book is highly recommended.

If you enjoy Elara Stone's work I highly recommend reading this short story. We get a peak into the origins of this alluring figure. I don't want to give too much away, but I read this after reading several of her other works, and it all makes sense now. There is so much of her in her characters and stories. The story describes her first exposure to BDSM, and it definitely made its way into her other books. I for one am very thankful she had this first experience...

Passion Ignited

It's a beautifully written short story of an insignificant little event that had a profound impact on the life path of the author. I've read her other books and it's easy to see where she got her inspiration. Few authors are as open and candid about their personal journey. I found it very enlightening and hope you will as well.

Writing a story like this is honourable in principle. To describe how the author came to this femdom. But honestly, what comes next is pretty thin. A woman you can still see and you meet by chance on the bus is a femdom. That may even true, but that is not a story worth spending a lot of time reading

This book is a brief snapshot of a moment in this author's college days, providing a deep observation of the different roles we may play, in front of the camera and behind closed doors. Being overly fond of Ms. Stone's books, I definitely wanted to purchase this book and be able to learn more about my favorite author. As always, her writing, always so inventive and exciting, with an attention to detail that goes beyond the typical. It's short read, that gives an interesting and informative look as how a past experience can sometimes define what leads to the present. In this author's case, this small event during her college days manifested itself into one of the most talented and brilliant authors of femdom erotica, unsurpassed in creativity as evident in all of her writings.
