In 2025, I will be publishing my 10th novel, Treacherous Hack, book #7 in my Mike Stoneman series.
My 2023 stand-alone novel, The Other Murder, won the GRAND PRIZE CLUE award as the best suspense/thriller of 2023 (Chanticleer International Book Awards)! The Other Murder is about a high-profile murder and the media frenzy it creates, and the other murder that nobody cares about. When two journalists team up to investigate the two murders, nothing is as it seems, and the most dangerous thing . . . is the truth.
Be sure to also check out another stand-alone novel titled Dead Winner, where the quest for a $60 million dollar winning lottery ticket turns deadly. Dead Winner was named the BEST POLICE PROCEDURAL OF THE YEAR and Blue Ribbon winner of the CLUE Award.
Also new is a short story titled The Car, the Dog & the Girl, which is available FREE from Kevin's website and from Amazon and other ebook retailers.
And, of course, look for my 7-book Mike Stoneman series has garnered wonderful reviews and critical acclaim, including:
Book #4 -- Fatal Infraction, was the WINNER of the CLUE Award as best police procedural of 2021 and is a Semi-Finalist for the 2022 Kindle Book Award
Book #3, Lethal Voyage, was the WINNER of the 2021 Kindle Book Award (best mystery/thriller) and a Finalist for the CLUE and the 2021 RONE Award (InD'Tale magazine),
Kevin lives in Central New Jersey with his photographer wife. When not in times of global pandemic, they love to travel (on cruise ships, especially) and Kevin loves playing tournament poker and cheering on his beloved New York Mets.
While Ghost Creek may not be a novel, what it lacks in length it more than makes up for in depth of story. To be honest I had no idea what Ghost Creek was about, I briefly skimmed the description when downloading a free copy from the link in the author’s newsletter. This story has it all, old flames rekindled, deep loss, murder mystery, politics, and scandal and all of them are woven into a story that is difficult to put down once you begin reading. Getting to know Penny and Chuck as the story progresses and the various situations, they find themselves in arise is what gives this story and the two characters depth. Based on reading this story, I’ll be looking for more stories and books written by Kevin G. Chapman. As I said earlier, I received a free copy of this story from the author and chose to provide my review.
Ghost Creek by Kevin G. Chapman 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is an entertaining small town crime/mystery novella! Penny finds herself travels back home to her late father’s farm and has to decide if she will sell it or stay on and run the farm. A mysterious body is found by her farmland and the great mystery begins. Lies, secrets and deceit!
This is my first book from this author, but I’m looking forward to checking out more!
It's a really nice read. I enjoyed the mix of mystery and crime, with a little ro.ance throwed in. The characters were believable and enjoyable and down to earth. I loved the storyline and was glad it ended with a positive impact. it read as a cozy mystery and interesting love reading those and look forward to reading more from this author. He did a swell job.
When her father dies unexpectedly, Penny returns home to bury him, but before he's even in the ground, both the mayor and the real estate developer are knocking on the door, telling her how much the farm is worth. Things get interesting when a body is found and someone tries to murder her. An engaging story with the potential to become a series.
This is a wonderful novella with so many twists and turns it keeps you guessing about what comes next. There’s even a bit of a love story there too. A great read for a rainy afternoon.
This is a simple novella but it has everything. Romance, family relationships, mystery. It is a short read but very satisfying. I got mad when I had to put it down to cook dinner. 🤓 Read it!
This was a really fun little mystery read that packs a punch at the ending. I enjoyed the romance subtheme in there as well. This story had me hanging on from the beginning and kept the wheels turning in my head wondering what was going to happen next and how the clues would unravel. It wasn't scary, so those looking for more a horror novel won't find that here, and it does not deal with the supernatural like the name might suggest, but if you are looking for a fun and cozy mystery novella to keep you entertained, this is a great read.
