Decoding Children's Behavior

Rate this book
How do parents learn to parent in a way that produces healthy, happy, well-adjusted children who fit well into society and optimize their potential?
There are two answers to this question gleaned from research into the best practices of fifty years of parenting. These answers are based on scientific study and a deeper understanding of how the human brain works, as well as through observation and evaluation of thousands of parent/child interactions over the years. They 1. Responsiveness 2. Structure

When a parent is responsive, a child feels loved, heard, understood, valued, respected, appreciated and important. This encourages brain development for effective cognitive and social-emotional growth and development. Responsiveness is connection.

When a parent provides structure through modeling, connecting or routines, a child learns positive coping strategies, problem-solving skills, creative thinking, active learning, and other ways to help him reach his full potential.

These parenting skills can be learned and will provide parents and children with better tools and resources for growth and development. Not everyone focuses on understanding the brain development of a child before starting a family, and that’s where this book introduces the background needed for effective, heart-wise parenting.
