This series has kept me turning page for the past week. It's part parallel history and part science fiction speaks to me in a way that makes me feel truly glad to live in OUR present times (even while acknowledging how divided and contentious our society is.) The characters and descriptions are believable and well imagined. I heartily recommend this series as an escape from the humdrum of a daily routine.
There were a lot of good parts to this volume and i loved it overall, but there are so many small details that kept on getting mixed up. some characters changed names a few times. I wish some of those names and accomplices could have been kept straight and a little more detail about final outcomes could be included in the end. I wonder if there is room for a vol 5?
This book Is full of nail biting action! Lots of realistic and believable combat, and a cast of strong, competent characters. Holds you on the edge of your seat all.the way to the end!
I never know what to write in these reviews; it's either full of spoilers or some mealy-mouthed suck up to the author, but in this case,, I really did enjoy all 4 books, and hope Nick and crew get to enjoy some down time, or even retirement.
Lots to love here. Action from beginning to end. Great characters sacrificing everything to complete the mission. I wish there was more to this series.
