Civil Engineer Landon Michaels’ grandmother’s memory is fading. All she wants for Christmas is a unique black angel ornament. The problem is it’s March. Will Granny Lonna know when it’s Christmas, or will she recognize her family by December? Gina Christmas and her family of accountants founded Every Day is Christmas to bless youths living in a children’s home. It’s not an ordinary charity. The children help fund the charity by creating artwork for sale. Their specialties are black angels, ornaments, and sculptures. When Landon crosses paths with Gina, she joins his mission to find the perfect black angel ornament that will bring joy to his grandmother.

A wild goose chase for "the most beautiful black angel" from Granny Lonna was the assignment . But it landed Landon at Christmas Tax Help For All Seasons, where Landon meet Gina Christmas. The great set up! 🤣😂 It was such a great read. As usual, I loved all Pat's God whispers throughout the book.
The fingerprints of books by esteemed Christian fiction author, Pat Simmons, are on file in the hearts of readers. “Every Day is Christmas” has the same identifiable features: commitment to Jesus Christ, scriptures, romance, humor, close family ties, relatable trials, and tribulations, and more.
Handsome, saved, successful and single Landon Michaels is no match for his determined Granny Lonna, who sets him on a quest to find a uniquely handmade Christmas ornament. In spite of her entering into dementia, she knows exactly what she wants, and where to find it, even if it’s not yet Christmas season. Christmas Tax Help for All Seasons is a family-owned accounting firm. Gina Christmas is swamped taking care of existing customers while her father recovers from back surgery. Still, when the take-your-breath-away stranger walks into their tax office, she’s awestruck.
Landon suspects his granny’s dementia is worse than feared when he realizes he’s inside a bustling tax office, not a Christmas holiday shop. Gina clears the confusion, proudly telling him about her charity that benefits art students who would begin making the unique ornaments in a few more months. Unfortunately, the same man who has her salivating earlier is an opinionated skeptic about giving money to charities. So much for that attraction, or so it seems. Landon leaves without donating, but his granny’s request gives him the perfect excuse to reach out to Gina again.
Until they both jump to conclusions, Gina’s and Landon’s path to a divine union appears straight. Gina agonizes over how Granny Lonna has three of her charity’s unique Christmas ornaments, when her infallible records show only one purchase. Landon treats her like a leprous con artist when she confides in him. His distrust of charities’ finances trumps his confidence that God has blessed their devotion to Him, to each other, and to purity.
Landon is in double trouble when he shows up at Granny Lonna’s. Her Black Angel; Gina, isn’t with him. Plus, she still demands her special ornament. The plot twist on the path to forgiveness and restoration is delightful and hilarious. God truly is not the author of confusion. Pat Simmons delivers another fun, God-centered love story that’s timely for all seasons.
What a scrumptious Christmas love story with lots of scope for all kinds of emotional undertones.
First we’ve got the poignancy of Landon’s grandmother’s fading memory and the seemingly impossible quest she sends Landon on. Then there’s his lively ‘all in your business’ family who make things even more interesting. Not to be outdone by Gina’s determined (aka pushy) sister. Plus, poor Gina is in a constant state of fatigue due to difficult work circumstances and that makes her a titch grumpy. So, to say their meet-cute was ‘cute’ would be a lie …but that made it so much fun!
So, not quite an enemies to more trope, but definitely a strong dislike to more. Both make assumptions about the other which need to be ironed out and they are at opposite sides of a critical issue which seems to be a huge stumbling block. Argh — I simultaneously wanted to hug these two and thwack their heads together in hopes of shaking some sense into them. But, oh my, when Landon makes his move…be still my heart! Sizzles and sparks, pass me some mistletoe!
I so appreciated Landon and Gina’s eight month journey to their happily every after. The romance never felt rushed even though this novel is on the shorter side. Landon’s wooing and Gina’s capitulating was paced to sweet perfection. And I loved the focus on faith in both their lives and their relationship.
I listened to the audible edition of ‘Every Day is Christmas’ (such a clever title tie in!). Susan Spain’s narration was excellent and made the story that much more memorable for me.
Every Day is Christmas by Pat Simmons Gina Christmas works with her dad at their family’s tax firm. Five years earlier, she started a charity to help raise money for the children’s home. They sell some of the homemade ornaments in the shop before Christmas. That is what brought the most handsome man ever into the shop one day. Landon Michaels was confused about how Granny Lonna could send him to a shop to have taxes done to find an ornament. He wouldn’t complain, though. The proprietor was beautiful. Some differences in their beliefs about charities gave them a rough start, but when God puts two people together…He’ll work it out. Excellent story and characters. Especially with Gina and her last name.
Every day, Christ should be remembered, the date that He is born into my heart. The act of giving, differences of the characters, Gina and Landon, was discussed, contemplated and put into action. In the outstanding and excellent manner, the author presented this inspirational message!
I enjoy a good Christian love story...sometimes differences in the way we serve, worship and give can cause misunderstandings In the end it all works out for THE GLORY OF GOD! I didn't want this book to end...I wanted more.😁
Good read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Landon and Gina, had a few misunderstandings they managed to overcome. They are both Christians with strong morals and faith. This was a sweet clean Christian romance.
Pat really did a name game on this story. Gina and Landon were a good Christmas read. I loved granny Lonna, she really made the story. It is a quick read. One of those, blanket and hot tea reads. It put me in the holiday spirit.
Not all angels can’t be found in a box. Landon is on a mission for his beloved grandmother, who has sent him to a wrong store. As friendships form, one wonders if the grandmother had some special insights about how to find a mate for her only grandson.
