Let's start with the negative aspect first. I mean this book is something majestic and full of liveliness. The book cover did not accurately represent the story within. However, this book is truly remarkable and vibrant. Now, on to the positives. Initially, it may seem like a ghostly village story, but it quickly takes a more mysterious and intriguing turn. 😭💜
From the 1st page you give a thought maybe this is about a ghostly village tale but no, wait! The tale of Queen and Mark delves into the connection between the afterlife and navigating challenges in the present. 🌿
It's fascinating how Mark discovers the truth about the Queen and learns to accept his own reality. I am curious to see how Mark and Duke rekindle their old relationship, but I believe this might be explored in the second part of the book. Initially, I viewed this book as a standalone, but I am glad to learn that it is part of a series. 🍂
Bella, or Queen, is the character whose story resonates with me the most. She faces challenges from her past and present with courage. However, the revelations about her mother and Kelly are heartbreaking.⛅

"The Hell Queen and Mr. Moon"
is a comical mystery book which leaves you with a cliffhanger for there are more to come. 🌱
Mystery, sure but comical, not very sure.
Though the main theme of the book revolves around supernatural powers and the interactions of them with humans, it also encompasses a lot of life lessons and gives you a chance to introspect your own life through thought-provoking conversations, like
~ how human nature affects his life in the long run,
~ why one should be humble and generous,
~ why you should not judge someone too soon and
~ why you should not trust anyone too soon too.
The Hell Queen and Mr Moon take the front seat, while the other characters like Rose, the Ghost, Duke and others stay in the back seat and yet somehow manage to impact the story in a way or the other. 💛
The best part about the book is its short chapters, like really short chapters. You start a chapter and not long after you are on another chapter. The book is this fast-paced. And you won't want to put the book down. You will say "just one more chapter" and you won't even know when the last chapter comes. It keeps you captive.
On top of it, the language is so basic that it flows, and you can finish the book in two days if not one. It makes it a great book for someone who is just about to begin their reading journey.
What I liked about the book most is that it's very readable. The font size is perfect. There are variations in fonts also. Every chapter ends with something that you can carry forward in your life and every chapter starts with a quote. And yes, before I forget the book has a map, a few images and a poem as you reach towards the end of the book.
P.S. If the book had been edited properly and looked into for grammatical error or punctuation marks, it would have been a great read. Nevertheless, give it a try and look for yourself. 💙

"The Hell Queen and Mr. Moon" by Pooja Kanwar is a lighthearted fantasy story with a dash of horror-comedy. The narrative begins by setting a mysterious and spooky tone, describing the abandoned city of Hill Tom, overrun by shadows, ghosts, and spirits. We meet the protagonist, the rich and brilliant Mr. Mark, whose life takes a dramatic turn when he is falsely accused of murder. Enter the powerful and otherworldly Ms. Queen, known as The Hell Queen, who comes to his aid. But why does she choose to help a mere mortal ? when all her life she has advocated for the dead? How are Mr. Moon and the Hell Queen connected, and how does she save him? The rest of the story unfolds, gradually revealing the answers.

I appreciated the book's short chapters, making it a quick and easy read. I especially enjoyed the way each chapter begins with a word of wisdom, setting the tone perfectly. The author has done a decent job in making the humour shine especially in the second part, given the fact that horror-comedy is a tough genre to nail.

Are you too a fan of the ‘Wednesday’ series? If yes, then I’m pretty sure that you’ll find ‘The Hell Queen and Mr. Moon’ extremely likeable!❤️
The story starts off with an eerie prologue where two people are killed by some mysterious shadows. But for the time being, the mystery stops here.
What follows is a classic ‘enemies to lovers’ meet between our main characters - Ms. Queen and Mr. Moon🫰🏻 As the story proceeds, the mystery of the deaths unravels and we find out that Mr. Moon is no ordinary human.
With ghostbusters, shadow-hunters and wolves; this was a real fun read. The story was easy to follow and reminded me somewhat of ‘Goosebump’ books that I used to read when I was 10-12 years old. Plus, it has maps and illustrations as well!
A good book to pick up if you want to come out of your reading slump like me😁😁

I just love books with illustrations and maps! This book, The Hell Queen & Mr. Moon by Pooja Kanwar, is one such example. It's a genre-mashing adventure that blends fantasy, horror, romance, and humor. The story unfolds in the eerie, haunted city of Hill-Tom, a place where shadowy figures and ghosts are commonplace.
The main protagonist, Mark Moon, a successful entrepreneur, finds himself in an unexpected situation: framed for murder. To clear his name, Mark strikes a deal with the Hell Queen. I was captivated by the character of the Queen with her mysterious aura and presence. This added intrigue, making me eager to see where the story would go. And when it did unfold, it was surprisingly heartwarming.
I really enjoyed the character growth of both Mark and the Queen. The author's vivid writing pulls you in, while suspense keeps you guessing. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter are amazing, and the short chapters are a plus. The pacing was a bit odd, though. But Queen(FMC) who seems to hate Mark’s arrogance initially, takes up his case when he gets wrongly accused of a crime. The question of why she helps him out unravels various mysteries and untold stories. The story is wrapped with all supernatural characters like ghosts, dark shadows, ghostbusters, wolves and shadow hunters. It also contains the concept of rebirth.
My opinion:
This book is quite simple and easy to read. If anyone is getting into reading recently, they can go for this book since it has comprehensible narration meanwhile also keeps you hooked to the story. The horror element is not too gore so it will be safe to recommend this book to younger audience too. Few elements in the book made me feel nostalgic. My favourite character from the book was Bella, she is a strong character who adapts to all hard situations that are thrown at her and makes the best out of it. And also I found Vickey intriguing. The book showcases the bond in friendships and family beautifully.

✨️ The Hell Queen & Mr. Moon✨️ a cozy fantasy when u r in a slump. Ms. Queen is a badass lawyer and ghost catcher (ofc we love a multitasking queen) meets Mr. Moon, an almost narcissistic AI expert who gets entangled in a double murder case. They duo up and the story begins with their bantering to beginning to understanding each other.

The hell queen and mr moon is a light novel which will also continue as a manga series.
This book is about fictional horror comedy thriller with an incredible spooky adventure where dark- shadows, devil spirit, ghosts, shadow hunters, Ghostbusters, wolves keep entertain you till the end of the story.
But it's not a total horror like the conjuring movie type. The characters are so well curated .But the story revolves around the queen and mr mark (mostly mr mark) as this novel is the background story of him.
The nice thing about this book is that at every chapter there's a nice positive quote that is related to the chapters.
I love books which have imaginery drawings and a map to start with . The flow of the writing is keeps you going to the next chapter.

For all the dark spirits and ghosts, Hill Tom city was their home it was also recognised as a scary and one of the well known haunted place of the northern valley. No one was allowed to talk about it, not even in their dreams as there were spooky rumors. The shadow hunters who were the ghost catchers started trying to solve mysteries.
Will they be able to solve the mysteries?
Read the book to go on a thrilling journey!
Things I liked -:
1. The Theme & The Plot -: ‘The hell queen’ doesn’t the name sound spooky?
Well that’s the first thing that came into my mind after i read the book title. I thought that it would be the same book as the fantasy books that I have read before but it wasn’t, there was something different about this book the plot was unique the plot was engaging and the plot was full of different elements. It contains everything from funny elements to haunted characters from ghosts to ghost hunters, from mysteries to mystery solvers. That’s the main thing that makes this book different and well matched with the title of the book.
2. The Characters -: You know creating a horror story with a new and interesting topic is kinda tough but when you have unique and different characters in the story it automatically makes the story more engaging and at the same time you find fun while reading. This book does the same thing , as the book contains both engaging story lines and at the same time very engaging characters every page of this book kept me bound throughout the read and moreover the character took me to a new world with themselves. These are the things that make a book loveable.
3. The Narration -: The narration was very easy i found every page to be different from the previous one and the story never repeated itself. The writer has kept the story and the characters easily understandable with the narration style. It doesn’t create any confusion in the reader’s mind. The story was easy to understand & I will say this is a very positive thing about this book you know narration makes a book more beautiful as the story can get complex when the narration isn’t right but thankfully this wasn’t the case here The narration was smooth. so it’s good for new readers.
Things I Didn’t like -:
I think the story could have been a little more engaging. I am not saying that the book isn’t engaging but I think this book needed more elements in itself because I found myself in New World and when you create a new word you have endless possibilities you can add unique and different elements to it and I think writer can definitely add those things to this story. So I will say that the writer should make a second part of this book and I will seriously wait for the second part because I loved this spooky funny world
Final Thoughts -: A perfect interesting story with horror and comedy elements added to it. It’s a sweet and beautiful book, I loved the narration, the story and the characters also loved the uniqueness added by the author into the story, I will definitely recommend this to anyone who loves entering in new worlds through stories and definitely to new readers too.

I could draw parallel in terms of the horror fantasy element with one of my favourite Korean dramas, Hotel Del Luna.

Kanwar has done astonishing work in her debut novel. And her imagination and creativity is just out of the world. My favorite part of this book is the mind blowing quote at the beginning of each and every chapter. Each quote resembles the story going on and that will make you relate much more with the character.
There are two main characters: The Hell Queen and Mark.
The Queen character is strong, bold and a fighter. She is a lawyer and She is the main attraction of this book. After completing this book I am still thinking about her and her character is larger than life. The Hell Queen is an absolutely gripping , exciting and breathtaking character. She is also kind, generous and the sweetest person as she helps Mark(To know the reason? You need to read the story and I don’t want to give you spoilers).
Mark's character is intelligent, charming , a brilliant person whose mind works behind creating technologies. Mark is like a coconut. He is hard from outside but really soft and emotional from inside as you hear his story in the book.
Don’t go with a beautiful book cover as it seems beautiful but the book is a big bag of suspense, mystery, dark shadow and it’s spooky. Book is nerve shredder, I mean even after reading any spooky part I used to just think it’s happening to me as well. I already talked about characters so i don’t need to convince you more now.
Go and grab a copy for yourself! It will make you look straight at the wall for its thriller-driller content and it has made me sit at the edge. Kiddos to the author and can’t wait for more content from you.

The book begins with a myth about an abandoned forest that was once a famous place. People who lived in the forest region believed that after dawn, they were not allowed to roam around. If they go against it, then they will never be returned. There are so many unsolved cases where people were reported missing; even some bodies were found near the entrance of the forest. The case is handled by two detectives, Dan and Rooky.
The main protagonist of the story is Mark (Moon). He is leading a good and wealthy life surrounded by a few real people (especially his teammates, more like a family) and his best invention, DOOM (talking AI). His life turned miserable when he received an anonymous call from a person who claimed him as his well-wisher and informed him that his project was rejected (AI DOOM invention). That person also advised him to meet Queen, who has the influence to change the company decision. Mark started experiencing strange happenings and encountered paranormal things on his way to meet the Queen.
The next day, Mark was arrested for committing two murders, which left him in huge shock. His life and everything about him seem to be falling apart, and he couldn’t stop any of it.
Did Mark succeed in convincing the Queen (Bella) and getting his project selected? Did he prove his innocence? Who is the Queen, and how is Mark connected to her? The book has some more secrets and flashbacks; I don't want to expose them, but I will let the readers find them.

The novel starts with an intriguing prologue, setting the stage for an engaging narrative. The story is engaging with great potential but in some places the plot gets dragged a bit. Apart from that, the overall tale remains captivating. The characters, although loosely developed, are diverse and interesting and helps to proceed the plot. In addition to Mark, there are several other noteworthy character sketches that enrich the story.
Regarding the writing, I appreciated the straightforward storyline conveyed through simple language. The quality of writing is commendable, writing style is good but there is room for improvement. At times, the narrative seemed to drag a bit. Its light-hearted nature makes it stand out. I would recommend it to those interested in exploring this particular genre.

Horror stories are a part of our lives (especially since they will be sweet parts of our childhood), and we have all heard them either to scare us or to entertain us. The moon, commonly called Chandamama, is another partner of our childhood. In this book, the author uses these two concepts while narrating an adventurous fantasy.
The protagonist of this story is Mr. Mark De Moon, a tech inventor and a popular celebrity. He is talented and handsome, but he believes people follow him only because he's rich. This makes him arrogant. This behavior of his gets a shock when his project is rejected by board members. He plans to meet the highest shareholder to turn the tables. He drives to meet the enchantingly mysterious Ms. Queen. This meeting and the continuing night change everything in Mr. Moon's life.
Who is Ms. Queen, and what is her connection with Mr. Moon?
This is the first book in this series, but the author has succeeded in opening Pandora's box of the mystic secrets of the dark tunnel, eventually raising a lot of questions. I could find technology, horror, paranormal fantasy, and adventure, but I'm yet to meet the comedy as mentioned in the first page; this means the book goes for a second read (I'm bad at comedy; I normally miss the spot).
The title and the cover page are attractive. There are many characters in this story, but I sort of loved Ms. Rosé and Mr. Ghost; one is savage while the other is mysterious. (Dear author, what's his name, and why are you hiding it?)
On the whole, this story is quite different, and I’m impatiently waiting for the next book.

April 25, 2024The Hell Queen & Mr. Moon", by Pooja Kanwar, dexterously integrates all facets of fantasy, horror and comedy so that the readers are positively taken aback from the time they pick up the book to the time they finish it. «Hill-Tom» – a city of mysteries where darkness and ghosts can freely move around – is the setting of the story where the protagonist – Mr. Moon – wanders through Maewyn, his world filled with surprises, and his path is twisted with plot. A fantasy novel needs to be carefully made as it blends this to that and shadow to light as the readers undergo it which Kanwar provides the best with the alternative turns and twists in the plot. The characters, especially those of Mr. Moon and the Queen who seems to be the shadowy character, are wonderfully humanized and them in turn add layers to the plot. The presence of images not merely gives immersive experience, and moreover, the sentient quotes at the top of each chapter lay an excellent foundation. Even so, the middle part, is a bit clumsy owing to the addition of excessive characters that might be taken as an unnecessary interruption, yet the pace is tight affording a quick and smooth read. Despite the fact that the horror elements of the book are the present, it always gets balanced so that it could even survive in the hearts of audiences that are not accustomed to the horror genre. A masterpiece of supernatural fiction, The Hell Queen & Mr. Moon tickle the funny bone, heart, and shudder with its memorable plot and characters, making every fan of the genre a sure reader who is anxiously waiting for the next chapter in the series.
