This book is incredible!
I couldn’t put this down, fast paced, intriguing and pack with twists!

U.S. Marshals Mak and Wilton partnered up for the first time to investigate the disappearance of a pop star/influencer and her boyfriend NFL player. Having secrets on their own, the case is filled with surprises and suspense.

I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to start book #2.

Thank you so much to the author Addison Michael for sending me this ebook.

Highly recommend!

When They Disappeared is the first book in the Mac and Wilton series by Addison Michael. It started off slow and I lost interest pretty quickly. I ended up putting it down for a bit. I didn’t like the celebrity couple, Selah and Maddox. Both of the Marshals of course have a shady and emotional background. I did pick the book back up to finish it, and the plot twists were interesting, but the basic storyline has been used far too many times.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Meh. That male detective was one over emotional dummy. The writing too simplistic and why do we need to know every piece of clothing on every character? I gave up once then went back just to finish it but I regret the time I spent in this book. The only saving grace was the female detective Mak who was a pleasure to read.

This book was excellent! I couldn’t put it down. It went from 2 celebs being kidnapped to so much more! There was a serial killer, plenty of murder, drama, deception, lies, assassins, fantastic characters,US Marshalls,FBI. Everything u could want in a book. It started out being very similar to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s story but so much more in the end! I highly recommend this book and this author! I look forward to reading the next book in this series. It can be read as a standalone!

The cover and the description interested me and thanks to BookSirens, I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was an excellent book by an author I had never heard of. The detectives in this book had some decent character development and there was a great twist at the end. The detectives think that have the kidnapping of a pop star and her Kansas City professional football player boyfriend figured out (characters obviously reminded me of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce). After the case is over something just doesn’t feel quite right so they go back and investigate it. My only downside was that I was so busy and it took me forever to read it! Definitely a good suspense book to pick up

Famous couple, Selah-pop star, and Maddox-pro football player, have disappeared! They have secrets of their own.
The U.S. Marshalls have been called in to help investigate. Stephan Wilton, U.S. Marshall rookie, comes with an intense history. Mak returns to work after time off following a tragedy. Together they weave their way through victims, suspects and evidence. Suspenseful and full of twists! Who they find standing at the end is not who they expected! And why is even more diabolical! That last chapter though, opens doors for the next book beautifully!
Thank you to the author for asking me to ARC read this! I definitely look forward to the next!

I loved this book it had so many twists and turn and subplots that it kept the pages turning till the wee hours of the morning. The general plot is a high-profile singer/influencer, and a high-profile football player went missing shortly after showing up together. This brought the US Marshalls into the case. Booker and Wilton were tasked to figure it out and find the couple. Unfortunately, one did not make it and the other was partnered with a more seasoned but coming off 7 months of leave. They both struggled and yet complemented each other. Where one is aggressive the other is more deliberate. There were a number of twists and turn in the plots and subplots in this book, it had bits and pieces of the past from each Marshalls past that will lend itself to more stories in the future. I’d highly recommend the book and look forward to the next one in the series.

I really enjoyed this book, it held my attention all the way through, in fact so much so that I could not put it down. A book that has you guessing right up to nearly the end, in my eyes, is a five star book. The story line has enough murder and confusion to keep you guessing, some red herrings thrown in for good measure makes sure that you will not have an easy time guessing who is responsible. The characters are old and new, I loved meeting Mak for the first time and she makes a good partner with Stephen, even though there are some heated moments. I have never been disappointed by any of Addison Michael's books and this one is no exception.
If you like a good thriller then I suggest that you read this book, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to the next one in the series,

The first chapter didn't reach out and grab me, but after that, I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! Once the story began to unfold, it moved at a quick pace that was full of page turning excitement, making you want more. There are so many great twists and turns that you thought you could see coming but soon realized how wrong you really were. I loved the multiple characters POV and the MFC was a chefs kiss! The writing in this crime thriller reminds me of the likes of James Patterson. I truly loved this book. I can't wait to read the next book from this writer!

This is the first book in the Mak and Wilton series. This was a fantastic read and it won’t disappoint. The beginning starts off a little slow but once it picks up speed you won’t want to put it down.

The plot takes you down a rabbit hole of deception, lies, murder, assassination, company takeovers, kidnappings and so much more. There are so many twists and turns. You may think you know the master minds behind it all but in reality you don’t.

The main MMC (Wilton) who is a rookie U.S. Marshall is a sweet protective father who has suffered considerable loss and now suffers from PTSD. He has no luck with keeping a long term girlfriend but it’s not his fault.

The man in FMC (Mak) is a strong willed senior U.S. Marshall who loves her career and her family. Mak and her husband have a strong family dynamic where is very supportive of her career and stays home to watch their daughter while Mak goes out to save the world.

Mak and Wilton complement each other with their strength, their weaknesses and their problem solving skills. Not to mention the love for their children and how they will do anything to protect them. They’re amazing together and I look foreword to finishing the next book. When She Vanished.

When They Disappeared was a great read and clearly the beginning of an amazing crime solving duo in Mak and Wilton!

When a celebrity couple disappears, the police call for the help of US Marshals. Stephen Wilton, who is relatively new to the Marshals, is sent in to help find this couple. After a few pulse pounding chapters and a tragic event, Wilton is told he will be receiving a new partner.

When Mak arrives on scene she is excited to be back on the job after a 7 month hiatus, but she has some trepidation about her new partner. Wilton is rumored to be unpredictable and a love ‘em and leave ‘em ladies man, and Mak is here to do one thing prove she is ready to be back on the job. Can these two agents who are opposites in every way, find a way to make this team work while finding the America’s sweethearts and bringing them home safely?

With short chapters and lots of twist and turns this thriller with have you hooked from page one! I can’t wait to watch the partnership between Mak and Wilton continue to unfold in the next book in this series!

This book started a little slow for me, but once I was engaged I couldn't stop reading until I finished it. I enjoyed the plot. I liked the characters. US Marshall Stephen Wilton is relatively new to the US Marshall Service, but he had prior experience as a detective. He has a lot of baggage. He ends up partnered with Mak Cunningham who is returning from a long leave of absence after an incident. She has issues as well. I enjoyed watching these two characters learn about each other. I thought the author realistically handled them learning to trust each other. I will definitely read the next book in the series. There were a couple of editing errors where Selah LeBlanc's name was used when it should have been her sister's name but I was able to follow it so it was not a problem for me. A Twisted Tale of Betrayal and Deception

Two celebrities disappear, and two US marshals are on the case. Mak and Stephen have a baffling case. Will they find the celebrities in time, and will they live to tell the tale? This story will keep you on the edge of your seat. I recommend this story to those who like books with mystery, suspense, and plot twists.

In the beginning of the book, I kept thinking that there had to be a backstory about Stephen, and I found out there was a previous series where he appeared. I felt like I was missing something, so I looked him up, and found out that Stephen appeared in A Mynart Mystery Thriller. Even though this distracted me in the beginning, once the plot began to thicken, I was able to let Stephen’s backstory go until I finished this book.

This is an excellent thriller/mystery with wonderful, realistic characters, plenty of action, unexpected twists and turns, and revelations I did not see coming. Ms. Michael lulled me into a false sense I knew what was going on and what was about to happen, only to pull the rug out from under me and reveal I didn't have a clue. The mark of a talented author, in my opinion. Oh, and try not to have too many interruptions when you start reading. You aren't going to want to put it down. This is the first book of Ms. Michael's that I have read and I look forward to reading more of her work.

I received a review copy from the author via BookSirens and this review is my honest opinion.

Honestly speaking I requested this book just because I don't have to request it i just have to download it from netgallye. And almost 4,5 publishers already declined my requests so i just downloaded it with a heavy heart. But what i wanted to tell u is its pack with almost everything u need. Lovely atmosphere with a good amount of twist and very intriguing storyline packed with a good amount of action and thrill. I really like this one and will definitely recommend it to other readers. Thanks to the author and publisher. ❤️

This was very enjoyable. It was fast-paced and had enough going on to keep me wanting to read more.

I liked how the different threads that apparently seemed unconnected were gradually brought together, almost before you knew it. The partnership between Stephen and Mak was good especially as they are both totally different characters. The ending sets things up for the future and I'm glad to see this is the first in a series and I will definitely read more.

Easily the worst book I've read in a long time. It reads like a teenager wrote it, the plot was terrible, and Mac and Wilton are the worst investigators I've ever read. How do you not investigate a murder that happens in your case? Why are you not wondering who killed the kidnapper MOMENTS before you arrived? Not just murdered, but sniped. I also don't need to be reminded that Paige is his baby mama every time he brings her up. Also "shot in the gut"? What seasoned detective now US Marshal says that? ABDOMEN. They were shot in the ABDOMEN.

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

This was a wonderful book. Great story.. great ending.. and all without using foul language.. but using a heartfelt man of good man who is just going to always catch the bad guy. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will read more about Mak and Wilton. This is a good series and the writer is great because he wrote a fun exciting book without gratuitous violence, sex, and language. I really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to read the next one.. buy it and read it you will be happy you did!

When They Disappeared, my third outstanding read from author Addison Michael, was a 300-page read that grabbed me and kept me reading. “I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author and in particular, Truth That Dawns: A Psychological Thriller (A Mynart Mystery Thriller Book 3), when I get it. When They Disappeared by @addisonmichaelthriller
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- US Marshalls
- Multiple 3rd Person POV
- Plot Twist
- Unlikely Partners

When America's most famous couple go missing, the US Marshalls are pulled in to work their case.

I don't want to give anything away but if you love a good who-done-it this is a great book!

It was also super fun reading about a twist on the Swift/Kelce relationship 🤭

Confusing Back Story

I would have really liked this book but there seems to be a lot of missing back story and randomly explained bits woven throughout. I repeatedly ensured this was actually Book 1 of the series because it was quite confusing every time a piece of Stephen Wilton’s history was mentioned, as if we were supposed to have prior knowledge of the events and characters referenced.

It was ok

I thought I’d take a chance on this because I like a powerful FMC. But it felt like this book was all over the place and hard to finish. Also not a fan of the writing style (third person I believe) “Mak didn’t like the way Stephen was acting towards her”. Takes me out of the story.

Two well liked celebrities go missing. US Marshalls are called to investigate. Someone known as the Fan is behind the kidnapping. CEOs of major broadcasting networks are dying. A very surprising conclusion.
