Hawkins succinctly, simply, yet powerfully teaches from his insight and wisdom from his time in youth leadership. There are lessons both seemingly obvious and requiring to be more teased out, but all of them fit within a cohesive whole and serve to build up youth leaders by both working on the individual and on a group as a whole. That this book continues to be published in new editions is a testament to the wisdom and teaching it contains.
