All Cooper wants is to find a love to share in his long existence. As an Elite Warrior, he has a duty to protect and he will always do what is needed of him, but even as a vampire, he still needs a break every once in a while. Who knew that by taking some time for himself would lead him to what he's been looking for? Finding the woman that is meant to be his turns out to be the easy part. Keeping her safe and in his arms is a completely different story. Diane is in way over her head as she hides her family from her sadistic ex-husband. When she finally settles down in a town that she may be safe in, it's only a matter of time before her worst fears come to life. Getting help from the Elite is a Godsend, but finding love within is a blessing all in its own. How does one react though when finding out that the man she loves is a vampire? Will she run and hide once more, or will she stay and fight for what is meant to be?
