This book was an interesting take on chatGPT from the point of view of a productivity Guru. It was a simple and quick read. As someone who is an early adopter of chatGPT I was interested to see what the book was about. I didn't learn anything new from the book but it was a different experience to read a book that was written by a human in collaboration with chatGPT.
The book is fine insofar as it’s easy to read, flows nicely and covers the topic matter at hand.
However, it doesn’t appear to delve overly deep into the subject matter a break it apart, explore ramifications of the AI tool, its impact on the world, etc.
Maybe I was wanting or expecting more out of it than it was intended to give - which is more of an intro to ChatGPT functionality, with numerous prompts to get using the tool and exploring ideas to incorporate it into your life, work and to have fun. On this metric, it serves its purpose, but… I feel like I could have got much the same content from a handful of YT videos and blog post listicles (that could well have been produced using AI itself, ha!).
Anyone who has started to explore generative AI like ChatGPT etc will find this book an easy read and sufficient to know more on how to use these kinds of AI tools. Part 1 is introductory, which I like the mention of a key element when using ChatGPT ... which is "prompt" making up of 3 parts - perspective, purpose and personality. Part 2 reveals the different use case scenarios (at work, at home, on the go) that are functional to use ChatGPT. Part 3 covers the creative use examples that can entice readers to explore serious or fun usages.
Was a great start, but by chapter 5, I got the premise and, unfortunately, found it repetitive. However, I have been using the AI tools more as I've been reading and will continue to explore the benefits of these tools. Would recommend to those who haven't started to experiment or use ChatGPT or other tools.
This book is great for basic information but could have been written in 20 pages. Summery of book: you can use ChatGPT for everything and you should play around with it. Good book just way too long and boring.
A surface level discussion of ChatGPT, what it is, how to use it.
Though it briefly describes the pros and cons of it's role within society, leaving only a few lines on AI and job replacement in a blase manner is incredibly disappointing.
This book should have been titled “ChatGPT for dummies”. Absolutely basic in every aspect from start to finish. Target demographic would be <10 yrs of age.
