This is the first book I have read of a saint, written by a saint. And it was so rich! It was lovely to read it as part of the kick-off for my dear friend's reading group initiative, and to discuss impressions with others who were enchanted by her writings. I have underlined different passages of this manuscript avidly. My idea is to create an inventory of these quotes in my prayer journal and have them as a handy reference for when I need an encouragement. Her life is a testament to the importance of Love; loving God and recognizing that Love in ourselves as a simple act of faith and devotion. Nothing is too complicated, and if it is, we are choosing to complicate it. I hope to re-read this book again in a while to see how the disposition of my heart has changed — hopefully for the better, towards how God intends it to be <3
