Boot Camp is the first program in the SPACE Art Education LEARN ART COLLECTION which is a course for anyone who likes the idea of being an artist. BUT you must follow the instructions to learn the fundamental building blocks that you need for you to become the artist YOU want to be. Just reading the material is NOT sufficient! • It’s also good for someone who wants to be a better artist than they are at present. • This program starts small and then leads to whatever kind of artist you want to be! Maybe you think being an artist would be great when you retire? • Why wait - learn how to create your own artwork – now! • Then improve until you are the artist you want to be. • Following LEARN ART COLLECTION you will get there as fast as is actually possible. Opening each of the Boot Camp instructions is like a treasure hunt. • You are given a series of small tasks. • Each building on the one that went before. Treasure hunts always begin with a set of clues about what to do. • You only get the next instruction if the first task is correctly completed. • This process continues and eventually the treasure is found. Carry out the seven Boot Camp instructions as directed. • Find the treasure. • The second module does not have those limitations. • Other programs in the LEARN ART COLLECTION are like the second module. You might wonder why I have begun like this. • Couldn’t I just write stuff? • Yes I could. • But then I’d be asking you to read. This way I’m asking you to do something. • That’s what art is like. • It’s about doing stuff! Doing something is a more appropriate way for understanding art than reading. • That’s why I have started like that. • You are introduced to the essence of the LEARN ART COLLECTION right at the start. • But by doing instead of reading thousands of words. The next LEARN ART COLLECTION program Basic Training develops into a program you can use. • A proven system for becoming the artist you want to be. • It’s easy, logical, simple and planned? • Other programs follow and reveal even more about the artist you might become. My name is Graeme Smith, and LEARN ART COLLECTION is my creation. • I do not intend to provide my credentials here. • It's more important to establish credibility (by actually helping people) than credentials. My ideas come mainly from my personal background. • Probably I have a broader range of art experience than most people. • But that’s another story. What is art? • If ART = x. • Then x must happen every time art happens. • Not sometimes, occasionally or even mostly BUT every time - always. What is essential for art to exist? • There IS an answer and it is the foundation of LEARN ART COLLECTION . • That means the course is grounded in philosophy and so doesn’t date. But it has been tested in real life too. • SPACE Art Education was first developed in the early 1970’s and tested in 200 schools. • My Art Program evolved from that in the early 1990’s. This Kindle program is an updated and modified version of the original material.
