Fated Inmates #2

The Orc's Oath

Rate this book
I’m a nice girl, so why can’t I stop thinking about the Orc mating fight?

Serena

I’ve been passed a problem prisoner to deal with. And this one is a massive, deadly, orc warrior.

He said I smelled like his axe and the blood of the first lion he killed. Rude. I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with him. Or why I keep thinking about his biceps. And his forest green eyes.

I need to pull myself together and get to the bottom of why he keeps getting into fights. There’s a secret there and I’m determined to uncover it.

Orzesh

My battle plans are legendary among Orcs. But my plan to escape prison falls apart the moment I see her. Small, curvy and dressed in the colors of my tribe.

Now claiming her is the only thing that matters.

I’ll show her that I am the strongest monster here. I can win any fight. I’ll even win this strange human challenge she has given me. Therapy.

This was a brilliant book and I loved everything about it and all the characters and the parts they played and what’s not to love about an Orc being you mate. Serena is a therapist and works in a prison and has been given a case that nobody wants because he is so difficult and is a huge Warrior Orc called Ozesh. And when they meet they are drawn to each other but Ozesh knows she is his fated mate and will do anything she asks of him. Ozesh id an Orc Warrior who is in prison for a crime he didn’t commit for the last 10 yrs waiting for a sign from the gods but being the Leader and the honor code he is imprisoned for the massacre his men done and now plans to escape after he gets a sign. When he smells and meets his new Therapist Serena he knows she is his fated mate and must prove his worth in the mating fights to show how strong he is and that he can protect her and keep her safe and claim her as his and now his plans to escape have changed and wont leave his mate behind. The closer they get Serena tells him he doesn’t have to fight for her and that she wants him as her mate but every time she try’s to claim him or him her a guard keeps getting in there way and they know they must escape to have a future together. How does it all work out in the end and do they get there HEA or not.

'Every sinew of me was ready to fight. Not her. But for her. I would fight any battle for her. Kill armies if she asked it. I would decimate the western cities if she wanted, if that is what it took to claim her and keep her. For the first time, I understood myself. I was made for this woman.'

I loved The Minotaur's Motivation- both the main couple as well as a few of the supporting characters and couldn't wait to read their stories. So I was excited for Orzesh's book and it was such a fun read! I liked the concept of mating fights in the orc culture of this world and enjoyed that part of the story very much. I liked that Serena- a self professed girly-girl- only saw orcs in one light, but upon (being forced) into the role of Zesh's therapist, began to change her views and understand her initial closedmindedness. I loved little Bloodletter (what a name! But well suited considering how they met and a very Orcish name) and that Zesh protected him from the other prisoners.

I'm looking forward to the Lich's book, but still hope for the shadow demon's story at some point, too! 5 stars.

Warrior orc Orzesh (H) has spent ten years in a human prison, waiting for a sign from his god to reclaim his freedom. When a baby bird falls into his cell, he knows the time has come. Therapist Serena (h) is reluctantly assigned to work with Orzesh, unaware that he sees her as his destined mate. As their sessions progress, Serena is drawn into Zesh's world, learning about his tribe's culture and the honor code that led to his imprisonment for a massacre he didn't commit. Loved when Serena finally gets clued in as to what being called “Uk'lah” meant and the whole scent thing. Zesh is so sweet as he cares for Bloodletter. Even as their bond deepens, the challenges of prison life surround them. Determined to prove his strength and honor, Zesh risks everything to show Serena his worth. As Serena confronts her own feelings and societal expectations, she realizes how much Zesh means to her. They’ll have to escape the prison and build their future together. Hot and steamy orc-human fated mates romance with plenty of danger and action.

Book 2 of Fated Inmates. Fated Inmates is a series of novellas about morally grey monsters with dark pasts and the human women they are fated to claim. Each book can be read alone, but they happen in the same time frame, in the same prison. So you will get the best experience if you read them all in order. A hot and steamy orc-human fated mates romance with plenty of danger and action. I liked the concept of mating fights in the orc culture of this world and enjoyed that part of the story very much. I really enjoyed the dynamics between human therapist, Serena, and orc warrior, Orzesh. I'm looking forward to the Lich's book.

Fiesty Human Female and her Orc Mate!

Tonight’s game plan: Binge the Fated Inmates series… book two down!

I love this story. Not only is is exciting (as the prison story from book 1 unfolds from two new points of view) but I love the theme behind this relationship.

Serena’s family tried to mute her personality her whole life. Her new Orc mate’s culture teaches to be yourself and live life with your personality colors on full display. I love that he brings out the best in her when she was so apprehensive from the start.

Also, spicy scene one is SPICY 🥵 I’m a sucker for that particular move and YAS.

This was another low time-commitment novella, and follows the story of the therapist, Serena (FMC), and the orc, Orzesh (MMC). Once we see Orzesh in a therapy session with Serena, we learn that he is an orc with firm beliefs and a sense of justice and honor for his people. I liked how these two came together - Zesh accepted Serena for all of who she was and Serena was 100% on board with Zesh’s customs (mating fights).

My critique of the first installment in the series stands, as I feel like some conflict could have been flushed out a bit more when it came to why therapy was mandatory in prison, how monsters and humans ended up sharing a world (only mentioned in one sentence), and the idea of once the therapists find their mates they get to the leave the prison.

Fated Orc Monster Mate! Yes Please!

This was such a great quick read. It was so easy to read.
Once I started, I couldn't stop. Which was due to it being well written but fast paced with lots of action.
I loved Serena and Zesh's dynamic.
They had so much chemistry and my favourite was that he's a sweetheart deep down.

If you love hot and steamy fated monster mate romances, then make sure you give this a read.

The Orc's Oath is book two in the Fated Inmates Series.

This story gives a bit more information for some of the questions we had from the first book. It brings a more clear picture together.

Orzesh is a very grumpy orc and Serena is tasked with getting to know him and helping him. But she doesn't know right away that they are mates. They form a quick bond together and I liked seeing them develop a good rapport with each other.

This was a great addition to the series!

Cool Bird ~

I enjoyed reading this story. I suggest reading this series in order. There is a carry over of events and individuals, that their reason and purpose in this story would explain. The only thing I did not care for was the very blunt ending.

must read series

So far this series hasn’t disappointed. From the main characters finding each other and themselves in these great books. Each is a different with their own monsters mates to find and love them in their own ways.

Sweet

Just like the previous novella in the series, it's sweet and a decent short story. This follows a similar timeline to the previous novella as well, just a different perspective of the events.

A good romance

This was a grief romance. I like the story it had a different twist. The jail. And different cultures. Very interesting tale.
