Malik

Good read. I really like the ladies in this one. Bria had a lot going on but made the best choice for her sanity and safety of her son. As soon as Malik was back in the picture trouble found them. Ava overcame so much and was on the path to happiness when Bria re-emerged. Both ladies were good ladies and I love that we weren’t forced to like one and hate the other. Malik would be lucky to have either one of them and they both could do better than him in my opinion 😂 can’t wait to read more about the Carter family!

Love won!

Bria had Malik mentally stressed but through his childhood friend Asad and family he finally got to a better place and met Avery aka Ava. She had a lot of past hurt and secrets but finally they worked through it and got it together ! Bria hid Najir her whole pregnancy but in the end everything worked out. This was a great series, lots of drama and tense moments but the Cartel families don't play!

Amazing Read!

OMG K. Renee! That Malik is a straight up thug about his. I kept hearing this song play in my head every single time Malik was about to spazz out, It's The Thuggish Ruggish Bone and that damn Shi who personality was just like Gabe made my day. It was twice the comedy up in here. I loved it all. I was glad to see a lot of my besties still hanging in there. Ma Lai, Truth,The Diamond Clique. I mean everybody. I have to go back and revisit some of my favorite stories of my besties in my head. Renee G

Messy Malik

😮‍💨, I’m glad that The Carter saga is final over! As previously stated, this book (like the others) was more comic relief than cartel business🥴‼️…Gabe’s banter and comedic antics were still annoying and frequently inappropriate. …Also, Bria & Ava’s kidnapping was the third for the Carter’s 🥴. It’s difficult to imagine their organization as a threat (they believe they are)! Nevertheless, ”The Carter Cartel: Malik Carter” was a decent read (better than Nori & Lynx). However similar to the other two books in the series, book three had the potential to be even much better. But between the inconsistencies & character ambiguity frequently the storylines were difficult to follow. Not the boss though. Malik was just messy‼️He could benefit from both anger management and or sensitivity training. He too was annoying throughout this book, borderline obnoxious! Finally 🙄, no I didn’t get the answers & clarity I’ve expected with each installment of this series. 🤷🏾‍♀️That’s cool!

Must Read

The way Bria did Malik was shady as hell. I understand they lost a child and it sent Bria to a dark place and she blamed Malike but she waited three years after the accident to leave. How she left Malik hurt him to his core. He became wild and reckless. Making decisions that came back to haunt him and put those around him lives in danger. Bria knew she hurt Malik. It kind of seemed like she didn't care but her sneaky ass was definitely up to something coming and going in and out of his life until Malik got tired. Meeting Avery had him back on the right track but Avery had some secrets she hid from her own family until Renzo popped up being disrespectful asf, telling Avery secrets, and tried blackmailing her mother and father. Truth was mad as hell but more hurt learning what Avery hid from all of them. As a father he's always protected his wife and children. It was hard for him to grasp what he learned about his daughter and Malik was pissed off that Avery didn't tell him the truth. He waa shocked to learn Truth was Avery father. Shi aint got no damn sense. Him and Gabe in the room together us funny asf. Learning his best friend had betrayed him along with Kevia, a crazy and delusional slide claiming to be pregnant. Shi was over the bs. I laughed hard as hell when his mother called his full name. It is the most ghettoish shyt I ever heard Driek was just the type of woman Shi needed. However him finding out she was a boss in the streets definitely had his interest peeked. It was good seeing Malayah, Lynx, Mama Lai, Jah, Kari, Juju and the rest of the gang make an appearance. Malayah read Bria for filth about the way she abandoned their friendship, how she left Malik, then turned around and hid her pregnancy. Bria knew she was scandalous for hiding that child. I laughed at Bria being jealous when she realized Avery was the woman Malik was seeing. Bria thought her and Malik was going to get back together but I knew that wasn't happening. She broke that man and he went through hell trying to pick up the pieces.

2.5 🌟

Well, my excitement for this book was very short lived. This book disappointed me almost as much as book 1. For them to be a cartel, they move recklessly and they stay with a traitor amongst their crew. They claim to have the best security, yet someone is always getting past them. I'm not sure why all of them aren't dead yet. But I guess as much as they kill without thinking twice, that's what saves them in the end.

Malik was hurting over Bria's trifling a$$ and was basically ready to kill anybody that looked at him wrong. He meets Avery and thinks he finally found a good thing, but she turns out to be hiding a lot, including the fact that her name isn't Avery.

Bria is hurting, rightfully so given her loss, but she's mishandling everyone around her and wants sympathy. She continues to make selfish decisions but expects others to be ok with them.

Avery is trying to turn her life around but has to face her past in order to do so. She couldn't remember who she was in her past life enough to stand up for herself, but miraculously she remembers who her people are and what her father taught her after she's placed in a new dangerous situation.

Gabe, once again, was not funny in any of his scenes and was doing too much at all times. Shi's light was a little dimmer in this book vs book 2, but he made out alright in the end. Lynx and Malayah supported everyone well.

Omg what a rollar coaster ride

Malik went thru so much pain with Bria after losing their unborn daughter. Bria broke his heart and soul after she left mentally she could deal with the lose of a child. Malik and Bria relationship was toxic and spiraling out of control. Malik was in a dark place he was becoming reckless and cold-hearted to others. His family and friend were worried about him losing it. Then he Mets Ava and everything changes he tried to take it slow with het he was still trying to protect his heart. Ava has been away from her family from for years dealing with her own demons . From being in a abusive marriage mentally and physically. Ava made some bad choices she had to leave her son with his father. Ava was in a dark place she got hook on drugs and escaped to get herself together so she could get clean up to care for her son. Ava and Malik was getting closer. He finally tells Bria he tried of her tug of war with his heart. Then all heck breaks loss Ava and his brother and Malaya are out to eat. Then to make matters worse she with another guy he also he finds out he has a son. Then his past comes back to put his child and both if his kids mother in danger.

A Must Read

Baby when I tell you that K. Renee did her big one with this book it left no tables unturned. Malik really went through some things in this book and was on a total path of destruction due to his heartbreak from Bria leaving. I was so happy when he was finally able to get himself together to move on. Malik meeting Ava/Avery was everything that he needed and more even though she came with her own drama from a toxic and abusive husband. Now Ms Bria I couldn’t stand her because of the way she treated Malik throughput the book and even though they tried to give her a little redemption in the end after she realized Malik was in love with someone else I still didn’t like her I’m sorry. I am glad that all was well in the end and Malik got his happy ending I would have loved to see a wedding between him and Ava but I’m ok with what I got. Oh and baby I laughed so hard throughout the book at those fools Gabe, Ma Lai and Shi they definitely caused a ruckus with their shenanigans!!

Not gone lie. I didnt know what I wanted the outcome to be. But i am very pleased with it honestly. Sometimes God brings people together just for a little while. And it takes something drastic to realize that y'all werent supposed to be in the compasity. Im not sure how I truly feel about Bria. On one hand I 100% understand her. But on another her audacity was VERY appalling. Smh But I am SOO happy for Malik. He deserves the love and commitment he gives. And i believe he truly acquired that. Im also excited for Shi, my boy got him a BOSS to go with his BDE ctfu Now I feel like I need to reread this whole series again. I just love this family.

Nice very nice

Yessss indeed this 3rd the Carter Cartel is so lit. My baby had to go through the steps cause of his ex and came out on top of the world. Like Layla told bri she didn't know her motives. It seemed like when Bri seen my boy in a better place now she wanted him back she fumbled that bag some years ago and she can't get that back. My new family is just getting so big. I would love to have an update on them. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Malik

Malik went through hell and back with Bria! The loss of their daughter tore him apart and almost made him have a nervous breakdown! The family rallied around him and his friend Asad counseled him through it, but it was his strength to move on and let go that healed him! He met Avery after she sold him his home, not knowing they were more connected than he knew! Avery was battling her own demons and drama and Malik was a breath of fresh air! In the end family and good friends plus love is all you need! A great ending to the Carter saga!

Love can be a muthafucka, but I guess you have to make sure you choose the right person for you. Gone with your bad self, Malik.

Whew!! This book went through some things... you hear me!! Crazy chicks, fathers, jump offs, uncles, aunts grandmas, mothers, you name it, this book had it. Uncle Gabe, Shi, and Ma Lai hell are too many things, and funny as hell. But family is everything, and they were ten toes down for each.

Malik finally came into the light, and love won!!

Great story!!!

Baby that damn Bria got on my nerves how the hell you get pregnant on purpose by Malik and not tell him about his son just trifling. She was selfish as hell and I'm glad Layah told her about herself. Even though I didn't like Malik sleeping with her again I'm glad he got back with Ava. Shi and Gabe are a mess together. Overall I loved this book and I'm glad you brought everyone back especially my girl Ma Lai

Accept, Heal properly and Move on !

I felt so bad for Malik, Brian did him so dirty and she was selfish as hell. Ava was wrong for not telling everything but I understood too. There was so much going on but the gang still riding for each other. Shi and Gage together to to much 🤣🤣🤣. Ma Lai still my girl. Bria was delusional asf and what she did to Malik was just wrong. I’m glad Malik figured out that Ava was his person and they fixed things. Great job as always 💙

OOPS SHE DID IT AGAIN. This book was everything and everybody got their happily ever after. Bria definitely fumbled and Ava picked it up and made a touchdown. Those men are the truth. But that damn Gabe and Shi kept me laughing. They didn’t care why came out their mouths. Definitely can’t leave out Ms Lai and that monkey. I’m gon miss the crew and it’s always good to know the Diamond Clique is still bad

Can't believe this is the End..

I can't believe this is the last run. Lord, I can't take it. I waited to read, hoping K Renee would have a change of heart. Malik possed me off how he was handling Ava for Bria. In the end, it worked out. Gabe is still Gabe. Ma Lai and Trixie and now Jinyx. Lol.. Sister's and Gabe, omg... to funny. I'm going to miss the crew. Guess I'll reread from the beginning.

Amazing

I enjoy this book from the beginning to the end. Malik was a amazing man that was raised how a man supposed to be raised. It broke my heart that he went through that pain by himself without his partner. Bria was selfish and her reason for all that she was doing was dumb. Ava had her own stuff going on, but she still was well put together woman because she was raised by real gangsters. Gabe had me crying so hard from laughter and Shi was funny as hell just like Gabe.

triangle of love

I’m so happy Malik and Ava got their happily ever after! I was scared Bria was gonna interfere with Malik’s mental state and healing process. Bria is selfish and to hide a pregnancy from Malik was unhinged. I’d love to read more about the family especially Shiloh story because he reminds me so much of Gabe it’ll be interesting if Gabe and his mom were siblings that way they’ll really be family !!!

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I caught all them hints and figured Bria had gotten pregnant but I didn’t think it was that intentional on her part ! ! ! Grief is tricky but Bria took Malik all up and through it ! ! ! Once Malik really began to heal he was able to open up to real love even though he didn’t want to come out and admit it ! ! !

GREAT READ!
When I say that I love K. Renee's books, I mean it!! Malik had a great heart and loved hard. When he met my step daughter (LMAO), she didn't tell me, her father, or him about what she was going through with her no good husband! But it all worked out for them in the end. This book had me laughing while I was driving and listening to the book. People in traffic looking at me and wondering if I was crazy.

The whole Carter Cartel

I’m so glad Malik got back to himself! I definitely didn’t want him and Bria rekindling their intimate relationship and was glad that Ava came along and was able to build with her. Gabe still being himself along with his new partner in crime Shi was just what I needed. Really enjoyed the book and can’t wait till your next work!

I love how Ava finally grew in herself…That darn Shi and Gabe together was hilarious.

🤔

It was an okay read, but I felt like this book could have been way better than this. We waited so long for this to drop and it was just okay. It was all over the place and Malik really played in Ava’s face and I wouldn’t have been so forgiving. At the end of the day, Bria was going to always be 1st place. She did way too much damage.

Malik Carter

Yes Yes Yes, the Carter men are no joke.
Felt the worse for Malik for the longest but loved how things worked out for him in the end. The Carter crew are reminiscent of our favs.
Shi/Gabe, Malik pulled a Julez move.
Bria got on my last nerves, glad she didn’t get Malik but got some happiness.

🔥🔥

Yes, K.Renee!! Your books always stand out. I hated the way Bria keep giving Malik false hope when he was trying to move on, she would rope him back in. But, that last time Baby Ava had that hook and reel and reeled him on in. Especially once he found out he could have been a thing of the past. The way I hollered and cried at Gabe and Shi, my folks thought I was crazy too. 😂😂
