Jennifer loves reading and writing clean romance. She believes that happily ever after is not just for stories. Jennifer enjoys interior design, rollerblading, clogging, jogging, and chocolate. In Jennifer’s opinion there are few ills that can’t be solved with a warm brownie and scoop of vanilla-bean ice cream. Jennifer grew up in rural Alabama and loved living in a town where “everybody knows everybody.” Her love for writing began as a young teenager when she wrote stories for her high school English teacher to critique. Jennifer has a BA in English and Social Sciences from Brigham Young University Hawaii where she served as Miss BYU Hawaii. Before becoming an author, she worked as the owner and editor of a monthly newspaper named The Senior Times. She now lives in the Rocky Mountains with her family and spends her time writing and doing all of the wonderful things that make up the life of a busy wife and mother.
I'm not being fair. The story and probably the series are corny, I just read this book. But, wholesome entertainment is always a relief after some of the books I have read. So go ahead and read the series or this book even. Gets you away from some of that dark stuff I read.
So good! I love Ari and Owen. Rosalind and her theatrics are so good! Great story and characters! Love the ending! I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.
This is such a fun read. Owen has always been a player due to his past. With a chance to write the screenplay for a blockbuster book, Owen needs a date to avoid the man-eater author after his fashion model date falls through. In desperation, he asks aspiring screenwriter Ari, who he previously dated in Italy, to be his date. She will only do it if he lasts two rounds in a celebrity MMA bout with his best friend. I received a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love seeing Owen and Ari get a second chance at love though I love seeing Ari pretending not to care for him. There are many amusing moments, which found me quietly laughing out loud. The story briefly touches on food allergies. As a person with food allergies, I want to warn that even hives can lead to future reactions that are move severe.
Wonderful book! Loved all of the banter between Ari and Owen! Full disclosure, I hail from the south and am a southerner born and bred. Not only have I heard this type of banter but have participated in quite a lot of it in my lifetime. Enough about me. The book is about Ari and Owen who met in Italy. Her sister has married Owen’s best friend and client. Apparently it was love at first site for Ari but she knew Owen had commitment issues because of his past. When he requests she attend a gathering of screenplay writers at a remote island as his pretend girlfriend, she accepts with provision. Their experience on the island will either bring them closer together or send Owen running. Be sure to read this funny and exciting story.
This is a fun story with a lot of banter. Ari has enough spice in her to keep Owen on his toes. It's fun to watch her keep Owen in line. I never quite connected with Owen as a character though. Even with that said, I enjoyed cheering Ari and Owen on as they took on Rosalind and tried to keep her at bay. Of course, a private island is always a great setting for a story. The ending was predictable, but cute all the same. I love how Ari received her inspiration for the ending of her story. Then to watch it all play out was big fun.
Great read a real page turner, lot a twists and turns. it was hard to A down at times. . The aurhor is a great story teller, has a way with words and paints a picture so well you think your write there living with them. It had an amazing number twist and turns that I just didn't see coming, it was frustrating at times , but it had a some what satisfying ending. . I really kept looking forward to the next reading section of it.. It's a feel good read.
It's a fun, banty, and romantic story. Owen is a charmer, and Ari tries so hard not to fall for the heartbreaker. But it seems as if this fake relationship is turning real, and a cougar is on the prowl for Owen. What started as a way to further their writing careers turns into so much more. But Ari does not know if she can trust him to not disappear from her life. Owen's grand gesture is so romantic and fun.
Ari fell in love with Owen when she first met him at her sisters wedding in Italy. They really hit it off and with Owen being her sisters husbands best friend, things were going perfectly. Until they returned to their normal lives and Owen never called. When Owen shows up in Comfort asking for Ari's help, her sister warns her that Owen has commitment issues and to guard her heart. This sweet romance has lots of twists and turns for a fun read.
Just My Luck is a fun, flirty, second chance, romantic comedy for Ari and Owen. Their banter is off the charts great! Rosalind and all her machinations reek of her desparation. The private island setting just adds to the enjoyment in this well written book. I spent a delightful time lost in Ms. Youngblood’s world.
From the Comfort series…can anyone capture the heart of Owen, Rhett’s best friend. Owen has dated Jess, Jojo, and Ari (at Rhett and Bela’s wedding). Ari fell hard for Owen but it didn’t call…that is until he needed her help. Will spending a week at a writer’s conference on a private island bring them together? I laughed a lot and cried too. I want to live in Comfort Alabama!
Best if read in order. They met in Italy but he never called. Now he's back wanting her to pretend to be dating and go with him to an island. What about the guy she's been seeing? Who will she choose and will they choose her? I received a copy of this book from the author. Review voluntarily given.
I loved this story! Lots of tension, rollercoaster emotions, villains and heroes! It was great to see into the life of two aspiring writers and what hoops they will go through to get published. Add in love triangles and it gets dicey:) Happy Reading! I highly recommend this story!
This is a small-town, second chance romance. This is a hilariously funny rom com. Ari is really sassy and funny, and she wears her heart on her sleeve. Owen is the guy who can never commit. Owen needs a fake girlfriend and asks for Ari's help. They are on a small island with a group of writers and a woman who wants Owen. An interesting read.
I started out not liking Owen, which probably didn’t help, but I’m glad he finally met his match! Ari is sweet and oh-so-very-self-deprecating. Then there’s poor Braden who couldn’t read the room. A lot going on here!
I enjoyed this romance in which both characters tried to hide their attraction to one another while dealing with rivals for the heart of each other. I loved the goat and his poopapalooza.
This is a great story and final book in this romantic comedy series. Ari and Owen are so great and the banter between them was amazing. I enjoyed everything about this sweet and swoony story.
I enjoyed this book. It was fun to see all the antics that the characters got into and however, everything played out throughout the story. I liked the ending.😉
This story with Ari and Owen was so fun. I loved following their relationship with all their ups and downs. This is a really sweet, clean romance with lots of great characters.
