Rule Number Never lose your virginity to the man who ruined your family.

It’s a rule I never meant to break, but the night our paths collide, I have no idea who Weaver is.

He’s just a drop-dead gorgeous man with no qualms about sleeping with a virgin. By the time I realize he’s also the man who destroyed my father, I’ve spent the hottest night of my life on his yacht.

I’m ashamed of what I’ve done.

I’m even more ashamed that I want to do it again…

I don’t care about our age gap or that he’ll be leaving town in a few weeks. This war between our families isn’t mine to fight, and my father hasn’t been there for me in a long time.

But Weaver is. He’s there for me when I need him most, proving he doesn’t have ice water flowing through his veins.

I’m falling for this forbidden man hard and fast…and then he gives me proof that my father was right all along.

Can our love survive Weaver’s dark side?

Or will he ruin me the way he ruined the people I once loved?

It took me a minute to realize this is a continuation of the world with Sydney and Gideon. While that book was more drama free, this one had all the drama you can imagine. A former flame of Sully’s mother getting involved with her daughter, on top of all the drama that ensues because of it. Two families that hate each other, simply because of the territory and what was done to their family. It has all the forbidden plots you can imagine and yet it didn’t deter Weaver who didn’t have anything to lose because of not being in cahoots with his family and being seen as the enemy, meanwhile Sully had everything to lose. It was a literal modern take of Romeo and Juliet without the killing and violence. It was just a lot of people who had issues. Issues that affected how they did business and grieved. Weaver’s family had jealousy issues and were essentially the corrupt side of the lobster business, while Sully’s family was more about doing business honestly and hated how Weaver’s family got ahead with buyouts and getting away with everything because of greed. Weaver didn’t like how his family did business and how they were consumed by greed and money as well as jealousy over him obtaining everything after his brother passed. On Sully’s side of the family, they dealt with personal issues, scandals and taking advantage of each other. There was no trust in that family, nor was there any with Weaver’s family. There was only a few people part of Sully’s family who had good intentions in mind and were just doing the right thing, which only included Sully’s grandfather and Sully herself. She was dealing with two emotions at once, allowing herself to fall in love with Weaver and be with him, or staying true to her family’s wishes and staying away from Weaver and up keeping her family’s legacy. Sully wanted it all but soon realizes that she was thinking too much about her family and not herself, putting their needs before her own because she felt it was her duty to. Meanwhile Weaver is rediscovering himself and trying to come to terms with falling in love so quickly after denying himself that emotion for too long, not realizing he just wants to love and be loved in return because his family never gave that to him and saw him as this bad person who shouldn’t be given the reins to the family business. Yet, behind all this, Sully and Weaver found each other and were falling deeper in love, far gone with each other. I would even say more so on Weaver’s side. She brought that out of him and allowed him to feel again and realize that he doesn’t have to be this cold person all the time. This was definitely a battle between acceptance, love and finding yourself in the midst of drama. It also begs the question, how far do you need to get pushed to finally realize you’re being taken advantage of and when is it enough to figure out that your family’s issues shouldn’t come before your own happiness. This was a complex story but Sully and Weaver really did find love in a hopeless place and I loved reading about it, definitely deserving of 5 stars.

“You’re mine, and I’m yours. Can’t you feel it? This is right. This is what we should be fighting for.”

Make Me Yours was an age-gap, forbidden love story with two characters that fall quickly for one another, but circumstances and different stations in life threaten to keep them apart. Weaver and Sully are a delight and I enjoyed watching them navigate their dysfunctional family dynamics.

“He just makes me feel so alive, like I’m fully awake for the first time in years.”

Sully and Weaver seemed like an unlikely match given their age difference and the history between their families, but they understood one another. There is a bit of instant attraction and these two fall for each other quickly, but their family history is a difficult obstacle to overcome.

“You are my person. You’re the reason I’ve never loved anyone like this before. I was waiting for you, for the only person who’s ever felt like home.”

Sully’s family has taken advantage of her kindness and willingness to help over the years and I loved how Weaver encouraged her to start fighting for what she wants out of life. He gave her the courage to go after her own dreams rather than settling for the life that had been thrust upon her. He fights for her when she starts to believe the lies that are being told and Sully is forced to make a choice for her future. Full of heat and heart, Make Me Yours was a fast-paced, emotional read and I quickly fell for Weaver and Sully and was rooting for their HEA.

Forbidden and a billionaire… yes, please. “Make Me Yours” is a forbidden, steamy and heartfelt enemies to lovers that was a great addition to the series.

Gertrude, aka Sully, knew it was a risky idea to sneak on to a yacht to delete a picture on a phone that didn’t belong to her but she needed that picture gone. Sully wasn’t expecting to find anyone on the yacht. Unexpected attraction forms between them and they spend the night together. And Sully is shocked to find out it was Weaver Tripp, the man who was responsible for destroying her family.

I was hooked from the beginning with the instant chemistry between Sully and Weaver. It was juicy and forbidden from the beginning and only grew as the book went on. I loved the twist on the feuding family vibes and how even though Sully was loyal to her family, there was something about Weaver she couldn’t stay away from. Weaver has a big wall around him from the way his family had been in the past. These two were exactly what each other needed and helped each other realize that they were the one for each other. The steamy scenes were steamy and definitely sizzled. The ending was perfect for them and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Gertie (Sully) had an intimate encounter with Mark Tripp. She stupidly sent him nude photos of herself while under the influence of alcohol. She really wanted those pictures deleted from his phone (once sober and she realized what she had done) before he found out they were there. So, she went to his Yacht to do just that. She was being so quiet and sneaking in, when she got caught by a gorgeous man. She wound up spending the night with this man. It was an amazing night, if she did say so herself.

Weaver was in town because of a family funeral. He spent the night on his family Yacht when he was awoken by an intruder. A beautiful one that he wound up having a one-night stand with. What could be so wrong about that, right?! Oh boy, what a mess that one turned out to be!

Great story, great characters! I loved the twists and turns in this story! Although because of a family feud between Sully's family and Weaver's family this relationship was doomed from the beginning...or was it? I was engrossed from the beginning!! A wonderful addition to the Forbidden Billionaires series!

Lili Valente's latest release, "Make Me Yours," has found its place in my digital library as a captivating addition. Upon their initial encounter, Sully and Weaver find themselves drawn together by an intense and unprecedented sexual chemistry. Despite the rapid growth of their mutual need, their burgeoning relationship faces significant challenges due to their families' longstanding enmity, as well as their notable age disparity. However, their unexpected and profound connection eclipses these obstacles. Yet, when old ghosts from Weaver’s past resurface, Sully finds herself questioning the wisdom of her feelings for him. Will their love withstand the weight of familial discord and buried secrets?

As I delved into the narrative, I found it to be truly exceptional, compelling me to read straight through to its conclusion. The honesty between the characters resonated deeply with me. Despite the difference in their ages, their love transcended boundaries that might have otherwise seemed insurmountable. It reaffirms the belief that genuine love can prevail over any adversity when rooted in mutual trust and belief in each other.

Oh my! Forbidden age gap - I'm here for all of it!

Weaver can make me his anytime!! Weaver meets "Sully" under auspicious circumstances and these two share a steamy night together before she realizes that he is part of her family's mortal enemies, and Weaver in particular is the one at the heart of her family breaking up so long ago. In addition, this is Sully's first time, so there's a lot of angst and heat to sort through.

But Weaver isn't as cool blooded as he appears and the history of her family and their backstory isn't quite as clear cut as they make it out to be.

These two have to struggle through A LOT if they are going to be together. There is a lot to overcome and Sully has to learn some hard lessons about adulting and being there for your family while still letting yourself have a life of your own. As well as learning that not all people will rise to the challenge and promises are broken...but not Weaver's!! He's steady and stalwart throughout!

Watching them become friends as well as lovers was such a great experience. The French restaurant scene was just divine. This has all the makings of a forbidden, virgin, age gap romance in one juicy package.

I adored these two together and my heart ached when things started to take a wrong turn. But seeing Sully realize what she truly wants, needs and DESERVES was empowering to see. Weaver may have a checkered past, but he's come so far since that time and deserves to find true love. I just love, love, love these two.

I voluntarily requested and read an uncorrected advance reader copy.

We're back in small-town coastal Maine, where lobster reigns supreme and the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets has nothing on the Sullivan and Tripp families' feud in Sea Breeze. And just like Juliet, Gertie Sullivan stumbles into an unforgettable night with the Tripps' very own Romeo, Weaver Tripp. He's not in town for long, and their families will never approve, but Weaver and Gertie have trouble staying away from each other.

Both the Sullivan and the Tripp clans put the “dys" in dysfunctional, and I’m not sure when I’ve ever seen more messy family dynamics. Of course, this provides for lots of humor, some shenanigans and misunderstandings, and poignantly heartfelt scenes. Weaver isn’t at all the façade he projects, and Gertie gets a lesson or two in autonomy and standing up for herself. Funny, smexy, and full of feels, you’ll love every minute you spend in this colorful New England town.

~*~ Audiobook Review ~*~ Make Me Yours is book 2 in the Forbidden Age Gap collection by Lili Valente. Weaver and Sully have an immediate connection on many levels, manifesting first as desire. She is a great character who takes care of her family and has never prioritized her own desires. Weaver is back home after many years away from their small town. Their romance is forbidden on so many levels with their families hating each other, their age gap, and even more entanglements that make it seem impossible. They find joy, release, and redemption in each other in spite of everything against them. They quickly realize their connection and endeavor to unravel all of the lies and complications. All that being said, there is not a lot of drama and I really enjoyed how they find their truth. Narration by Lili and Ryan West is excellent with wonderful performances that made this audiobook a new favorite.

I had to buckle up for this fast-paced, funny, super steamy romance!

Sully and Weaver jumped into their night together not realizing what was to come. The sparks were off the charts and what they both thought was a one time thing suddenly needed to be more. Had to be more. And that’s when the trouble started…

A McCoy and Hatfield vibe meant any type of relationship was going to be a secret and though they wanted to be okay with that, nothing good would come of it. The history between their families was long and bitter with repercussions still being felt today. How could they overcome that? Was there even a way? I was in their corner and how they dealt with it made for an emotional roller coaster that included many smiles despite the tension) and the requirement that I go find all books in this series right away!

*I happily reviewed this story

Make Me Yours is an age gap, Romeo and Juliet vibes romance!

Weaver and Gertie's (Sully) families hate each other. So imagine their surprise when they find out one another's identity after having a one night stand. They have such a strong connection though and can't stay away. Weaver definitely falls first and so, so hard. I absolutely loved everything about him. Gertie feels so much for Weaver but has too much loyalty to her family. I love that, with the help of Weaver, she realizes that it's okay for her to put herself first. These two have so much to overcome to be together. Weaver is all in and when family troubles arise, Sully needs some time to think. Will she choose her needs and in turn, choose Weaver?

This is the second book in the Forbidden Billionaires series. I was a tiny bit skeptical of Weaver at first, but man did he win me over in no time. This such a good forbidden age gap romance. Weaver and Sully burned up the pages with their chemistry. Sully couldn't ask for anyone better to introduce her to the world of sinful delights. I loved the close relationship Sully has with her grandpa. I was so close to mine and I miss him terribly so it warms my heart when I read a character close to their grandparent. Though the Tripps and Sullivans do not get along love is always worth the risk. A really good story with great characters. Weaver is an alpha for sure!! He has a commanding presence.

Age gap
Forbidden love. Feuding families.
Dysfunctional families, full of users and losers.
Sully is young but she seems to be carrying her family.
Weaver is older, very successful billionaire. Self made. Hates the small town he came from. Sully’s hometown that she loves.
She’s very wise and mature for her age. It’s why the age gap is not a problem for me.
He’s not the monster the town thinks he is. But it’s the very end of the book until we get the “why” behind Weaver.
This is a quick engaging read.

I flew through this book, the plot was good but the spice was phenomenal, such an easy book to read quickly and enjoy every moment of it! I'm not always a fan of the larger age gaps, but this book was so good that I quickly moved past my dislike of the trope! I love the range of Lili Valente's book and how each new book is similar to her writing style but stands out on its on! Can't wait to see what comes next!

Welp Lili done did it again with her sexy, spicy, small town romance. Weaver & Sully have big time chemistry. This age gap, enemies of the family, romance story will have you from the first scene. Weaver is so aloof, he beats to his drum, while Sully is super close with her people, she loves her job, she loves her friends, she just loves. These two are unlikely bedmates, but maybe that is why they just work. Make sure you grab this read!

Loved this!

I loved this story of Gertie and Weaver! They meet under some scandalous circumstances. She is trying to erase some photos and texts from his nephews phone when he catches her on his Yacht. Their attraction is fire! Definitely has all the age gap forbidden vibes going strong in this book! I love these two together. I loved this book and highly recommend! I can't wait for Maya's story!

This was a very enjoyable read for me. I loved the forbidden aspect of this story. Age gap is not always my thing, yet it is done so well here and I found myself rooting for both characters. The writing flows well. The attraction between Weaver and Sully is palpable. Off the charts chemistry. There is of course some angst as their families are feuding, yet it does not hurt the story at all. All in all a very delightful read.

The story of the Hatfields and the Mccoys. A small lobster village is the setting for the love at first sight story. Sully a hard working woman who lives by the rules is infatuated by the Sullivan
clan nemisis. But as the story unwinds Weaver Tripp is taken in by Sully and falls hard for her.
The ins and outs of family feuds up a lot of the story. I love the way Weaver is protective of
Sully and will do anything to make her his.

After losing her virginity to the man who destroyed her father, Sully feels bad that she actually wants more of Weaver.

Lili brings us another well-written age-gap, forbidden lovers story, this time with a feuding families dynamic. It was engaging, an emotional roller coaster, adding in all the mess involved in family greed. Steamy and sweet amidst all the kinda angsty parts.

Once again, Lili and Ryan West do a great job narrating this series.

I would have given this five stars if it wasn’t for Sully, a.k.a. Gertrude -listening to rumors and believing them and throwing everything away instead of asking the love of her life to defend himself… She was a doormat for her POS father and I wanted to shake her 1000 times— also they fell madly in love in eight days… Weaver dealt with her baggage, which was a shit ton, but was so in love with her after eight days it didn’t matter-

Another sizzling, fun read from Lili Valente! Age Gap, Billionaire, Taboo Romance...yes please! This one had me from the beginning. I really liked Gertie (aka Sully) and Weaver (aka Mr. Fancy). The chemistry was instant and off-the-charts hot! Throw in some major family conflicts and lots of past family baggage and I was turning the pages non-stop.

This was just the captivating read I needed at this crazy holiday time of the year! Grab yourself a copy, settle in and indulge!

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

When Gertrude 'Gertie' Sullivan 'Sully' goes on deck of a yacht, she thinks her kinda boyfriend is going to be there and he will be asleep so she can delete her drunk saucy pic and following messages. However what she finds instead is Weaver Tripp.

Weaver is back home after the death of his brother and no longer feels at home in Sea Breeze, however the woman he finds in his bedroom has his mind realing.

With a one night stand, neither can forget each other, but things take a bit of a turn when they find out who each other really are and who they are related to.

Neither can stop the chemistry between them however and Gertie ends up agreeing to a nights with benefits solution, but only while Weaver in in town for the month and know-one is to know that they are seeing each other, only Gerties best friend.

Weaver comes across as a cold man, but Gertie gets to see the warmth throw his icy shell, but it only happens around her.

With family tensions, things are not easy for the pair and the month does not run smoothly, but ultimately both of them realise that they are better with each other and the chemistry between them is steaming.

I really enjoyed this book and hope that the next book is for the cat loving best friend Elaina.

More Forbidden Billionaires

This story features Gertrude 'Sully' Sullivan and her family's nemesis Weaver Tripp. Although family history is against them, the age gap couple discover hidden depths until further revelations threaten to tear them apart. This was an easy read, though there are a few editing issues which need tidying up.

This is a cute story of love finding its way despite an age difference and warring families. She believes that she’ll never find her person and he avoids commitments. She’s warm and fun and he’s stoic and brooding. But they still find their way to HEA.
