Hero Grant Roderick is dog-sitting for his aunt in Moonlight Cove, Washington. One day his aunt’s dog (poodle Jade) runs off and ends up at Bow Wow Boutique. Grant meets the friendly and attractive owner (heroine Molly Kent) who he finds warm and helpful. It seems like everyone in town stops by just to say hello to Molly. But Grant is a computer nerd and is only interested in his job, not a relationship (since one he had years ago went sour.) But will lovely Molly change his mind?

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the main couple, I thought they had a lot in common. Neither were interested in a relationship. Molly was hurt a few times in the past and is content to be the town matchmaker. But some of her friends try some matchmaking between Grant and Molly themselves. I liked a lot of the townspeople of Moonlight Cove, especially Molly’s good friend Phoebe, and elderly Neil and his dog Coco. Some of my favorite parts are when Grant and Molly visited the sick children in the hospital, especially little Katie who loved Jade. And I enjoyed the part when Grant and Molly helped out old Neil with the dog-door to his house and spent time with him watching football on tv. I also liked how the book took place around Christmas.

Enjoyable festive read by Lissa Manley with some nice secondary characters.

It was a cute and quick read. Although it left a few things to be desired.

Molly is the town's matchmaker. She has been successful with fixing up a few people and now she has set her sights on Grant, who happens to be in town dog-sitting his aunt's poodle. Grant doesn't want anything to do with anyone, he is solely focused on work (hmmm sounds like very other romance book). Oh but wait sparks seem to be flying between Molly and Grant, yet.... she denies it, so intent on setting Grant up with someone else.

Overall, it is a rather sweet book. Strong Christian based theme. Not very memorable storyline or much character development.

This was a fun, easy, quick, clean romance. I read it in a day. It was very simple. Definitely could have had more excitement. Very religous. Molly is the town cupid. She prides herself on being a great matchmaker. Except when It comes to herself. She has built a wall around her own heart that she thinks will never be torn down. Grant, a computer nerd, is thinking he will focus his life on his work, and leave romance out of it. I liked this book, but wouldn't activly seek more from this author. I didn't like it enough to move this book to the top of the "to read" stack. I didn't feel a real connection to the characters. It had it's moments though.

Molly has a strong faith in her Heavenly Father and believes in helping others. I did enjoy that aspect of the story of her being kind and generous to people in their small town. Especially during the holiday season. It is a great reminder to know of the impact we can make in helping someone else have a better day by being a friend. The relationship was likable enough. I think I just became frustrated with the same excuses being explained page after page.

Moonlight Cove series.......Christian romance......WA state Molly/Grant/dogs!/ Molly and Grant both need to seek forgiveness, Molly from her Father and Grant from God.
