If you've ever dreamed of making a million dollars or more through a home-based business, then The Perfect Business is the first step toward achieving your dream of financial freedom, once and for all.
Bestselling author Michael LeBoeuf shares his proven techniques for achieving wealth and independence in today's precarious business world.
A little bit outdated on the technology side but the business guidance is good. Short read with good actionable tips: how to find your from-home business, how to be creative (15 15 rule), etc...
This was a very solid book describing how a person could start a business in their home. To manage expectations, this book does not tell you to go do (insert a specific business here).
Think of this book as a building plan that a builder would use to build a home. It lays out what the builder would need to do to build the structure, but does not mention the building's location, colors of the walls or even the furnishings inside the house. This book lays out a solid framework and it is up to the reader to roll up their sleeves, come up with a plan and then take some calculated risks.
While the book has very strong timeless business principles, it has some things that are out of date (e.g. getting a fax machine, land lines, etc.). It also does not discuss much about marketing or social media.
Overall, I was pleased with the material. It was actually better than I expected.
This little book is one of my favorites. Michael makes a great argument for building a business of one. Obviously, this business model isn't for everyone but I believe everyone should read it. Too often people get grandiose ideas about their dream business when, if they were honest with themselves, they would realize that they don't have the business acumen or fortitude to build a full scale business - even a small one. But they might do really well if they have a very strategic, targeted focus that can be fairly straightforward and yet very profitable.
The first time I read it, everything about this book sounded perfect. Now that I am much more knowledgeable and experienced, much of what the author has to say come as common sense. It is still very useful though.
