“My heart tells me that you may be my greatest love story, and I can’t wait to write these chapters with you.” 🖤🥰🖤
As one of the top match making services around, Arranged Hearts can definitely pop their collar at their 97% success rate when it comes to helping couples find their HEA. It may be an unconventional way for most, but for Kachelle and Jacob taking their love lives into their own hands despite the lack of support from their families was something that had to be done.
These two were determined to defy the odds their family’s had stacked against them and come out on top! They were determined to win and they proved that it’s not about how you start but more so the journey that leads you to the finish line.
If there’s one thing KB will always do is give you a black love story that warms the spirit! She creates stories for us by showing us that not only do we deserved to be loved loudly and softly but that it’s possible and this one was no different. I really enjoyed getting to witness Kay and Jake fall in love and I had no doubt that based off the type of people they were, it would be a hard thing to do.
▪️It was him cutting out her weave and washing her hair for me! ▪️It was them reading together at the library for me! ▪️It was Barkly and Pawly for me 🖤🐶🐶🖤 ▪️It was “my wife, my wife, my wife” for me ▪️It was these two creating their own lane and saying fk the rest because who wants that perfect love story anyways 🎶cliché🎶
The book did have a good amount of story inconsistencies and editing concerns and after a while became impossible to overlook so there’s that🥴. This was the only book I read in this series but I absolutely loved the concept and may even go back to read a few more. Until next time………✌🏽
I really loved how devoted Jacob was to Kachelle, and all the things he did for her. The hair washing scene was my favourite, I haven't read a cuter one in a while. Also, the puppies!!
There was virtually no drama in the book, aside from their families disagreeing, and I liked that. Sometimes you just need to read about people being happy in their domestic bliss.
I also liked how well their careers complemented each other, it shows the author put a lot of thought into it, but that's to be expected from Kimberly Brown.
This was a great ending to the series, I recommend all the books, if you love the arranged marriage / married at first sight tropes.
The dating pool has pee in it and after years of wading in the deep end looking for her mister right, Kachelle is ready to hang up her scrubs and let somebody else do it. She’s tried dating the traditional way but, she’s had no positive outcomes. So, Kachelle has decided to put her faith in the elite matchmakers of Arranged Hearts and let them find her husband for her.
After being taken advantage of on more than one occasion, Jacob has given up on dating and he’s been single and celibate for some time now. But, the itch to start a family is starting to rear its hopeful head and Jacob is ready to settle down and find himself a wife. But, the pickins’ are slim to none on the dating scene. When an ad for Arranged Hearts pops up late one night, he does his research and, after some thought, decides why not?
Both Kachelle and Jacob’s parents have been married for well over 30 years and they are very against an arranged marriage. They believe hard work and commitment are the only ways to find real love so, the idea of Kachelle and Jacob marrying strangers doesn’t sit well with them at all and they refuse to support their decision. This causes a serious rift between them and their parents.
Kachelle and Jacob didn’t let the negativity from their families deter them one bit. They were intentional in their quest to find love the unorthodox way and, lucky for them, it worked. Jacob was the true embodiment of a husband. From the moment he lifted her veil, he was immediately protective of Kachelle. He stood ten toes down for her and had absolutely no problem checkin’ his family and hers. It was a joy to experience the mutual devotion Kachelle and Jacob had for each other and how quickly they fell in love. They were the perfect ending to this series.
Jacob and Kachelle are both at a point in there life where they want to be married. They desire that companionship that only God can bless, however nothing has worked for them. So, they set out on an untraditional path. They both feel its best for them, but their families were not as sold. Jacob was my type of man on my type of time. He knew what he wanted. He prayed and moved with intention. He was ready for his rib and acted accordingly when he found her. I loved his ENERGY. When the families were feeling and acting some type of way....he said play with somebody else, because I guarantee you won't disrespect me or my wife again..oop!! I was here for it all too. His energy and just aura overall I believe made it easy for Kachelle to fall for him. I loved the way he catered to her, did his best to make life easier and was the sweetest outside the bedroom and nasty in the bedroom. He was a good balance of a man. I liked Kachelle too (despite that name). She was a boss babe, a supporter, very sweet, but knew when to get buck if needed. She too was a great balance of a woman. I loved how she embraced his sister right away and didn't mind how close they were. She stood up for her husband and their union and it was just a beautiful thing. I don't know that this story is realistic, but I love love and I like to believe that it can in fact be found in the most untraditional ways. Like they said it works when you put in the work and I believe that whole heartedly. For this couple there were some moments where I wanted them to communicate a little more, but I gave grace based on their beginning. I also realize that they have so much time to grow. I enjoyed this story.
There were small grammatical errors that detracted from the story. When you are causing your reader to reread for context, it just stands out. I really enjoyed the characters and the story line, but cleaning it up would make it that much better.
I love the diversity of careers in this series, and the balance of positive and slightly troublesome personalities and decisions for black characters. This doesn’t feel stereotypical or very predictable.
MMC being an author of children’s books and the MMC being a dentist (business owner)? Loved it.
They had chemistry. Though time flies, you feel their love grow as you read. It doesn’t feel like insta-love, but definitely love at first sight.
Kachelle and Jacob is it that’s all I gotta say true love in match maid heaven🥺. They made my heart gush even with the all the trials faced they were 10 toes down for each other. Just read the book people and bask in their love, sensuality, faith and hope. ‼️Kimberly is always dropping some gems out here 😌
Kachelle and Jacob were both struggling for love and decided to each get assistance from Arranged Hearts a match-making agency where you meet your match at the altar. Of course, their families were totally against it and that remained a conflict well into the book until someone’s health is at risk and everyone comes together. Jacob loved his wife as soon as he saw her! And I loved how he had a way with words. Kachelle was super sweet and just wanted to find love after multiple failed relationships. Jacob was her win! I enjoyed the scenes with Kachelle and Jacob getting to know each other and just falling in love. Myra and Jessa were a mess but fun! Outside of a few grammatical errors and very little conflict (learning I like some conflict in my books lol) this book was a nice and sweet read! I am also interested in checking out some of the other books in the series!
These are the results of two intentional people wanting love in the worst way. Done with the games, lies, and poor choices in the dating game, these two were locked into the process. Kayelle and Jacob were perfect for each other. The chemistry when they met at the altar could be felt through the pages, and I knew a beautiful love story was born.
Now them damn parents danced on my nerves. Was their decision unorthodox yes. But did it give them the right to just show their asses, hell no! 🤬😤 But Jacob was not having that ish at all. Nothing and no one was going to upset his wife. Did they want their parents support yes. However, if they had to live without the support of the parents, they would have done so. This decision was theirs, and their happiness was the only thing that mattered in the end. The way Jacob doted on his wife was swoon worthy. I don't think I have smiled that much in a minute. 🤩 Way to end the series, Kimberly. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I loved the premise of this book, but I wish we got to see them learning each other and going through the motions of an arranged marriage. But instead, they were basically in love as soon as they got married, so there wasn't really much of a plot besides their parents being against their marriage.

This book was amazing from beginning to end. This was an awesome conclusion to this series and it is one of my favorite books of the series.
The staff at Arranged Hearts did their big one once again by matching Kayelle and Jacob. These two were a perfect compliment to each other. I loved how they were all in from the beginning even in the face of adversity with their families not agreeing with their decision to marry a stranger. Jacob was all about his Kay and he definitely upheld his vows to be a protector and provider for his wife. The way this man respectfully gathered their parents at their reception had me cheering for them to win even more. I loved how Kay and Jessa connected so quickly and that she was the only one who supported Jacob and Kay from the beginning even though she didn’t fully understand their decision to marry a stranger. The love between Kay and Jacob was beautiful and kept me smiling with their moments together.
Now these parents and Kay’s sister had me ready to fight because their love was giving very much conditional and not unconditional. It’s one thing to disagree with a person’s choices and still over your unconditional love and support but it’s another thing when your love and support only comes when a person chooses the things you want for them or follows the path that you feel they should take. I didn’t like the fact that it took so long for the parents and Kay’s sister to come around and make amends. They didn’t have to agree to support her without being negative and they should have taken the time to get to know Jacob and Kay initially instead of letting so much time pass. I am glad they did come around and apologized and made things right eventually.
My only complaint was with the editing in this book that almost distracted me from the story because there were so many errors. Thankfully the storyline was so good and well written, that I stayed engaged and loved this story. Despite the editing issues, this book is well worth the read.
This series is exactly why I love Black romance. Black men loving, respecting, and choosing Black women every single time? I’m sold. And having all the FMCs be plus-sized was just the perfect!
This final story with Jacob, the author, and Kachelle, the dentist, was so soft and sweet. Their connection, their vows, their love — perfection. The only “drama” was their families questioning their unconventional marriage, but even that brought them closer.
Opening with those interviews and vows, then a honeymoon in Santorini? Kimberly Brown understood the assignment. And Jacob… whew. A man who removes weaves, washes hair, prays with you, and buys a house in cash? Say less.
The vow renewal had me smiling like a fool. If you haven’t read this series, please do — my faves are Surrender, Tension, and Allure. ❤️
Ms. Brown did it again. This book pulled all the emotions out of me. The love that Jacob and Kachelle showed for each other before they even said the words "I Love You" was so pure. The connection they felt to each other after just being married for a short period of time they both knew could only be an act of God. They prayed that he would match them with their soulmate and he did just that.
It was nice to see how Jacob's sister came around quickly and accepted Kachelle as her own sister and how that bond grew quickly as well. Although the parents on both sides were not on board with the arranged marriage as fact as Kachelle and Jacob would have liked them to be it was nice to see when they finally came around. The way this book was written you would not think that Jacob and Kachelle were strangers when they first got married but their love shown so organically it was beautiful to read and I found myself rooting for them through it all. I enjoyed everything about this book.
Review to come. Loved the Married at First Sight premise, but the editing/lack of proofing in this one was probably the worst of all the author’s books I’ve read.
This was such a wholesome, beautiful Black love story. No trauma, no struggle. Just love. It was such a good change of pace for me and I loved every second.
Ms Brown did her big one with this one! Our mmc is named Jacob which is a very forgettable name on an unforgettable man. He’s an illustrator and writes children’s books (and also has a sister in her 20s who I love) and he is almost 40 so yay for older characters! Our fmc is named Kachelle and she is perfect, she has no flaws so don’t look for none! She’s a little kid orthodontist. This one has so much passion and once again we get two people who are perfectttt for each other.
I read this book in one day and I have to say…it was really boring. There was no lore, no depth, no character development, there was no reason to connect with the characters, nothing. It would’ve been nice to see not only the ups but the DOWNS of marrying a complete stranger, besides family just not being okay with it. This book lacked ALOT. There were also many grammatical errors that completely took me out. It’s just boring. I think I was anticipating some sort of drama or switch up that it caused me to read the whole book in order to realize that was NEVER coming.
Sooo good, I read it twice before writing this review!!!
I can not say how much I loved and enjoyed reading Jacob and Kachelle's love journey. It's so fitting that Kimberly Brown's book wrapped up the 6 books of The Arranged Hearts Series.
The synopsis for this book was the first thing that drew me in. I LOVE a great description of a book. It was when I started reading this book that I was captured and held captive and captivated by the words this author put on the digital paper. Jacob and Kachelle knew their journey wasn't traditional. But they were determined to put in the work in order to make their marriage work. Now, I was a little perturbed at their families behavior. No, I take that back. I was straight pissed. The audacity! And I loved how Jacob stood by Kachelle throughout this book. His line was always, I got you. And he always did. Jacob was always present and always about his wife. Just as much as Kachelle was about her husband. And Jacob's sister Jessa? OMG, she was a trip throughout this book!! I loved how she was there for Jacob and Kachelle right from the beginning. Her energy was a beautiful and a hot mess at the same time. She's definitely someone you want in your corner watching your back.
Overall, this book was worth more than 5 ⭐️ imo. It kept me engaged from beginning to the end both times I read it. I highly recommend not only this book but the entire series. It's a definite must-read. Kimberly Brown ended this series with a banger. Yeah, I see myself reading this book for the 3rd time. Lol.😁
This book was truly so freaking cuteeee! However, the only thing I will say is the couple got together pretty early on (which …duhh) and it was just sunshine and rainbows(which is good) , but it kind of left more to be imagined? If that makes sense? I expected them to date more, get to know each other more despite meeting at the alter, but they just hopped straight in full married mode. It almost felt like the story was complete with their romance despite their being 150 pages left. idk maybe I’m tripping lmaooo. Overall, really cute story and I really appreciated the length. May this love find me 😭
I liked their story, but both their families kinda got on my nerves. These are two grown adults making a decision for themselves, if you’re not going to be supportive, stay home. Instead, they had that man ready to fight in his suit haha I hated that for them. But I loved how they stood up for each other and for what they were trying to build with one another. I loved how aligned their goals and objectives were and how ready and committed they were to make it happen. Beautiful couple.
Also, Jacob and his sister were so funny. That lady is SPOILTT 🤣🤣
Thank you Dreamscape Media for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Surrender by Kimberly Brown gave me exactly what I love in a romance two people who seem to have it all on paper, but are still missing that one piece that makes life feel whole. Their chemistry was undeniable, but what hooked me was watching them navigate the risks of marrying a stranger. The tension between attraction and uncertainty kept me invested, and the story balanced romance with a grounded look at what it means to surrender control and trust the process. Surrender left me thinking about how love often requires us to let go of our fears and step into the unknown, even when it feels like the scariest thing in the world.
This was cute! The pacing in this one was way better than in Desire. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I loved Jacob!!!!!!! He stood on business from day 1, and I absolutely loved it!
Some of the grammar errors and typos were hard to ignore. However, the overall timeline and story was pretty good! The premise of arranged marriage will keep me reading this standalone series.
Jacob did not play about his wife and he made that clear Day One! I loved their connection and how intentional they were about each other. I still don't get why Kachelle didn't tell her bestie about the marriage. But I cheered when she told Jacob's dad off and resumed eating her dinner. Great story!
You don’t need a bad boy when you can have a man like Jacob fucking Mitchel!!!! This unconventional marriage turned into the perfect love story. The way Kachelle and Jacob poured into each other even with the doubts and negativity from their family was beautiful. I found myself smiling , laughing and blushing! This was such a beautiful story.
Kachelle and Jacob took the unconventional way to find love by going to matchmaking service. I love that they both prayed over this big step they took. Not seeing who their intended would be until they were at the alter. They overcame family disapproval. They kept God first and trusted He led them to each other. I love this answered prayer love story.
A very sexy & romantic take on MAFS. I liked the realism of both families having an issue with the instant marriage and the dialogue showcased how black ppl actually speak to each other in real life lol There could've been a little more conflict between both newlyweds but I can appreciate the HEA.
