The Coming Fall of Islam in Iran: Thousands of Muslims Find Christ in the Midst of Persecution

Rate this book
Much more is happening behind the scenes in the Middle East than the media has revealed, leaving America unprepared and unprotected. In this book, Reza Safa, a former Shiite Muslim and a recognized authority on Islamic issues, highlights the past and current Islamic issues in a way that will make readers sit up and take notice. Safa chronicles what God is doing in the Islamic world, including Iran, where thousands of former faithful Muslims are converting to Christianity. The Coming Fall of Islam in Iran portrays a hope of a great future in the Middle East. This book will show readers how Iran is the first Muslim nation where a mass nationwide exodus is taking place among the Muslims, even as Islamic radicalism grows rapidly.

A mixture of history, politics and missions. One of my pet peeves is a book of which the title does not match its content. This is one of them. Safa could have summarized almost 4 whole chapters, or referred the reader to other works that covered Islamic apologetics or Islamic history. These topics bear upon his chosen title, but nowhere near to the detail that he gives to them. Islamic history and apologetics are good to know for the beginner, but for one that knows them well, this book will waste your time.

It so happens that I read a similar book to this one--one that was concise, and stuck to its chosen title; and I liked it a little better than this one. I thus recommend--if you must read only one--reading "Iran: Open Hearts in a Closed Land" by Mark Bradley.
