Artist Beware: The Hazards In Working With All Art And Craft Materials And The Precautions Every Artist And Craftsperson Should Take

Rate this book
Revised and fully updated, ARTIST BEWARE may well be the most important book an artist
can own or that instructors can recommend to their students. It is a thorough and highly
detailed examination of the hazards of working with art and craft materials, and of the precautions one should take to assure good health and safety. The book provides full analysis of how gases, liquids, vapors, dusts, and fumes can harm the artist, and studies all aspects of
safety in the studio, including the care, handling, and disposal of materials, the use of various
kinds of protective equipment, and possible physical hazards. Students, professional artists,
and craftspeople alike will appreciate the possibly lifesaving information available in this
handy volume.

There were some good tips on preventing disease from art materials. But a lot of them were common sense. And the book was hard to understand at times.
