Just after turning nineteen, Felix Laudrey and his best friend Boon Mee embark on a journey to Thailand—Felix to find his real family and Boon to save his brother. As the two travel across the globe, stopping in France, Russia and other countries along the way, misfortune, or rather, foul play seems to be following close behind. Their path intertwines with that of a child-trafficking agency based in Phuket, which, unbeknownst to them, has been keeping an eye on their doings all along. Navigating the twisted streets of Phuket, among some of the most beautiful and nostalgic landscapes of their lives, the young men must outsmart members of the Rafflesia gang if they want to return home, finding ways to take back precious belongings, a girl, a bejeweled chameleon statuette, and answers to their past.
