An excellent collection with wonderful introduction and closing essays by George Swede that further cement haiku in the English language cannon of literature as well as speak to the growing global popularity of the form. The book itself contains many seminal works by 25 contemporary poets. My only reasoning for not giving it a fifth star is that I wanted to see more poets represented. Perhaps down the line a second edition could provide another 10-25 poets?
