Rabbit: They say combat trauma can be the noose you hang from, the cross you bear, or the cliff you scale to survive. But I was a f*ck up long before my Army enlistment and the resulting PTSD. Thanks to the veteran MC that took me in, I’m coping with my condition. Mostly.
Until her.
The Complete Package. She’s way out of my league. I shouldn’t have a chance in hell with Elenore, but I got a peek under her hood and the sexy scientist has a screw loose.
Good thing I’m the best damn mechanic in Seattle.
Elenore: I never once contemplated murder until my sister showed up bruised and bloody on my doorstep. Now, my intellect has overridden my morals to create an extermination plan with a 98,3% success rate.
Relax, I won’t actually kill anyone. Probably.
But he might.
Who knew I’d find a kindred spirit in my self-appointed tattooed biker bodyguard? Rabbit’s alarmingly protective but the most fascinating person I’ve ever met. And the sight of his bare chest just made the lock on my bedroom door spontaneously combust.
A tempest on the outside with a soft, gooey center, he could be the one.
If I’m strong enough to love him through his storms.
The Dead Presidents MC is a brotherhood of military veterans formed to help vets reintegrate into civilian society. They’re the good guys… mostly. Complete, standalone HEA love stories. No cheating, no cliffhangers. Read less
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Trope: heroine in peril Angst: 😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥1/2
Such a fabulous story! If nerdy heroines are your jam and you love golden retriever heroes with a side of ADHD, this will definitely be the book for you too ❤️. After a two year hiatus, Harley Stone is back with the next chapter of the Dead Presidents and she totally had me rolling while simultaneously giving me a poignant story that hit me in my feels. I loved Rabbit and Elenore together. They're an odd couple on paper that shouldn't work, but they just do. The chemistry between them was great and they both give each other something that's missing from their lives. I thought Rabbit came across like a turd at first, but he quickly won me over with how earnest and sincere he is, even if it's completely with no filter, dialed to crazy town, lol. Such a great read with lots of breadcrumbs for what's coming next!
Oh boy...Rabbit is a hot mess for most of this one. The thing is he doesn't have to be, but is so insistence that he does not need therapy. Finally towards the end of the book he breaks down and does it, very reluctantly and seems surprised when it works. It's a bit sad, because he deserved to be just as happy as every one else.
Elenore is the total opposite of Rabbit, totally together, everything done for maximum efficiency, life very boring and bland. These 2 really shouldn't work, but they do. Rabbit gets Elenore to loosen up and Elenore gets Rabbit to see there are good things that come when a person has things together.
It was great to see these 2 happy at the end and how everyone was there to help them along the way.
I can’t begin to tell how much I enjoyed this book! Tad and Elenor or as they’re affectionately known, Rabbit and Poe, are so great! These two are different as night and day but they find a way to click. Rabbit should be known as the Energizer Bunny! This man is all over the place, quick wit, quick feet and pretty quick mind. He’s loyal, loving and tenacious but he also struggles with horrible self esteem. His home life was a nightmare with a mother who is beyond awful…some women do not need children. He also has debilitating PTSD sometimes which messes with way he thinks of himself, but he’s smart and a talented mechanic, he just has a hard time getting past the negative. Then we have Elenor. This lady is a total trip! She is also loyal and quick witted. She’s a brilliant scientist who doesn’t have a single clue how to interact with just about anyone. Advanced intelligence…very little people skills. I honestly didn’t know how this was going to work but it definitely does. These two are so self conscious of themselves but they compliment each other, working on the other’s strengths and helping out with weaknesses. They’re just really sweet. This book truly has it all, exciting, suspenseful, sexy and so hilarious…definitely the whole package. Can’t wait to see who’s up next!
I love this series a lot. The men & women in the Dead Presidents world are all strong, capable characters. Some, like Rabbit, have some serious issues to work through. My heart broke for him several times as he resisted getting the help his brothers knew he needed. He has this block about therapy, and it takes some major effort to break through.
I adore Elenore and all her quirks! She's the perfect combination of smart & sassy to snare her Rabbit. She sees things scientifically, and feels a bit cut off from the world because of that. She has insecurities that pop up because of that, too, & I love how Rabbit helps her get out of that shell.
(BTW, I'm not spoiling his legal name, but do have to say the person he's named after is a favorite from my childhood!)
Their story is full of humor & heart, warmth & steam, family & what it truly means. Elenore & Tina, Rabbit & Rose, and the found family in the club all show different types of family relationships. The way the club comes together to get Rabbit the help he needs & encourages Elenore to be a part of that really warmed my heart. And they're there to help with protecting her, too. 😉
Excellent read & I'm so happy to have more from this club!!
Redeeming Rabbit is part of the Dead Presidents MC series by Harley Stone and boy is it a great read. The story focuses on Rabbit, an MC member who has PTSD, his own demons and a lot of intenseness. He doesn’t see his own worth and struggles throughout the book to see how great he is. He instantly falls in love with Elenore ‘Poe” as the MC works with her and her sister, Tina after Tina’s abusive ex-husband comes after them.
Elenore is a fun and quirky character who overthinks a lot of things but is quite logical and methodical due to her science background and her quirks. She is apprehensive of Rabbit to begin with, but he definitely brings her out of her shell when he introduces her to the MC. I really enjoyed the play between both characters as well as Elenore standing up to Rabbit to make sure that he got the help he needed as well as seeing his own self-worth. They were both really understanding of each other and even though there was some miscommunication, they were totally meant to be together.
Other secondary characters really helped Rabbit along the way and were rooting for Rabbit and Elenore. Overall, a really great book that deals with some serious issues but is all about meeting your person.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
This is Rabbit and Elenore‘s journey. Rabbit has a tough upbringing and then he joins the military. After he gets out of the military, he suffers from PTSD and he doesn’t want his club brothers to know how bad it is. Elenore is a scientist and introvert and just a tad bit crazy, lol. So when her sister arrives on her doorstep, battered and bruised, she appoints herself as her protector. When Rabbit and Elenore come in contact with each other, because of Rabbit’s security job, they are like to kindred spirits, and both are enamored with each other. Rabbit becomes Elenore’s self appointed bodyguard, so when her sister’s ex comes, sniffing around Rabbit goes all alpha and protective over Elenore.
Harley Stone’s Dead Presidents MC series has always been one of my favorite series…I love every one of those books…and Redeeming Rabbit is gonna be one of my favorites now..💜🌼 Rabbit has undiagnosed ptsd and self esteem issues, and he’s one of the most likable characters in the series…Elenore is a smart, nerdy scientist who is quirky and awkward, and sees the world through statistics and scientific data…and for Rabbit, it’s love at first site…💜🌼 While the book has serious themes, there is some really funny stuff in this book…I almost woke my husband up with my laughter shaking the bed…I read this book straight through, because I couldn’t not…Redeeming Rabbit will be one of my favorite books this year…I 100% recommend it…💜🌼
Welcome back to the world of the Dead Presidents, Rabbit edition. Our H in this book has demons from growing up, time in the military, and after. Rabbit about broke my heart with the pain he was going through. He wouldn’t let anyone in or accept help from those who cared. Rabbit meets the h when her sister is being abused and she needs the MC’s help and it’s love at first sight for him, or lust. But he thinks he’s not good enough. Eleanor is hilarious. The back and forth between these two will have you laughing out loud. But this book tackles two strong issues, PTSD and domestic abuse. Great read with strong characters.
Rabbit is a member of the Dead Presidents MC and and veteran suffering from PTSD. If that isn’t enough to mess with him his childhood was a disaster as well which gave him very low self-esteem. Elenore is a scientist and a little on the crazy side. Who would ever think that a biker and scientist would work but this two did and the storyline made all of this a great read.
If you are looking for a great MC read this is definitely a book you want to get your hands on and if that isn’t enough this is a series for all MC lovers.
I’ve read each of the Dead Presidents MC Club books and this is the first review I’ve written regarding this series. All the books have been good, and in retrospect, I probably should’ve praised them as well. Something about Rabbit and Eleanore, however appealed to me. Both characters are damaged due to their childhoods, and both have survived and (albeit with limits) thrived. Their story was lovely. The way this story intersected with the last in the series reminded me of why I love these characters.
Elenor’s and Rabbit are a couple you would not expect to be so perfect for each other, she is a nerdy scientist who wants revenge on the ones who hurt her sister, Rabbit is a veteran with PTSD and loves his brothers in their MC . These two made this story so enjoyable and I can not wait for others to read it!!
I am so damn happy DPMC is back! This book is about Rabbit and Elenore (Tina's sister from Kaos's book). Rabbit & El were absolutely a perfect fit for each other. I love their quirks and personalities and how they supported each other 100% without judgment but compassion. This story will have you on an emotional roller coaster but it'll all be worth it in the end. ☆☆☆☆☆
This was a wonderful book. Both main characters have flaws, but are loved by each other. Rabbit’s inner critic was so lifelike and on point. As someone who struggles with a negative inner voice this was one of the most accurately portrayed that I have ever read. Harley Stone did a truly amazing job!
This book is great! I love the story and loved how "Rabbit" and "Poe" got along and how they played off each other! I loved how true to life that Rabbits' inner critic was! We waited two long years for another taste of the Dead Presidents MC and it was worth the wait!! Harley Stone is an amazing author!
I have missed The Dead Presidents MC! Wasn’t sure about Rabbit at the start but fell in love as I went on. Eleanore and her methodic and scientific mind is hilarious at times. Definitely recommend this book and if you haven’t read the series you are missing out.
I felt for Rabbit and his struggles in this. Then Eleanor loved her with her fiesty, quirky ways. These two needed each other in different ways. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve, how they were able to reach each other, and how they understood each other in a way no one ele did. It's a story that'll hit the feels for sure.
I have been waiting for Rabbit's book! I was not disappointed, this book was perfection. Eleanor is his perfect mate and what it took to get them there is a fantastic story. I loved everything about this book!
OMG.. I have been waiting for Rabbit and Elenore's book since Kaos.. And this story picks up right at the time Tina goes to stay with Kaos.. Rabbit is there to help and he of course can help but notice Tina's beautiful sister..
Both have their demons.. both with childhood issue but Rabbit with his service and family issues.. Both help each other out.. Elenore give Rabbit Reason.. and Rabbit helps Elenore to learn to live a little.. but is that enough?
I have read every book in this series.. and I get the pleasure of meeting Harley Stone next month in VEGAS BABY!!
Amazing read.. and I can not wait to get my hands on Morse!!
Rabbit and Poe: I loved this read. These characters draw you in. Poe is sight and Rabbit is smitten. This storyline will make you feel anxious and happy. Highly recommend this Author.
I’m not sure if it’s just because it’s been so long since I read the Dead Presidents MC, but I took me a few chapters to get fully invested in the story and remember characters. Other than that, it was a great book. I loved Rabbit and Elenore. They are not the couple you’d expect but it made me love it that much more. Rabbit was so sincere and true to himself and gave me golden retriever vibes. Elenore was hilarious at times and gave Rabbit a run for his money. I’ve missed the Dead Presidents and this was a great come back after a long hiatus.
Rabbit's story but it was definitely worth the wait! Rabbit broke my heart but made me love him. Eleanor was quirky and fun. The chemistry between the two of them is amazing. Harley did an amazing job of describing Rabbits trauma and how he responded to his triggers.
I have loved all of the Dead Presidents books and highly recommend the series. I have read them in order however you can read them all as stand alone books.
Wow. This book had me hooked and I can't wait for next one. 😱😱😱 I couldn't put book down once started.
I loved Rabbit and Elenore together, they are two peas in a pod, but also very different. They both give each other something. Elenore gave Rabbit purpose, and helped him when he felt like nothing. Rabbit made Elenore live, instead of being so rigid in her ways.
It's been a bit since we visited the Dead Presidents MC but Harley Stone hasn't lost her touch! It was so good to finally get Rabbits story & visit with other characters! Can't wait for Morse's story!
Rabbit is the next biker to get his story in the Dead Presidents MC and is absolutely NOT to be missed❣️
Elenore’s sister is just out of an abusive relationship and now that she’s safely tucked away, it appears her ex is looking to find her through her sister. The Dead Presidents kick in to protect her which is how she and Rabbit meet😊
Unfortunately, Rabbit has his own demons and no matter how much he’s attracted to her, he doesn’t think she will give him the time of day😢 I really loved Elenore, she’s smart and fiesty in a nerdy way, which made me like her even more and the interactions between Rabbit and Elenore are just adorable and freaking cute and made me love them more😍 Sage is also another character we get a brief glimpse into when he’s talking with Rabbit which had a couple LOL moments which I rather enjoyed…The other character I can’t wait to find out more about is Morse…excited for more in this world - have definitely missed it.
I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️
Oh, Rabbit... Harley Stone has done a great job with his story. He broke my heart, but Eleanor, with her scientific, brilliant mind and her uniqueness, broke through to him. She also had walls up, but together, they make such a wonderful couple. Another great read.
Poe and Roger are the most adorable couple. You have Rabbit (Roger) who has demons for days, forever trying to self-distruct his budding relationship with Eleanor (Poe).
Brought together when her sister needs the help of the Dead Presidents club, nerdy Eleonor is confronted with somewhat manic Rabbit.
Their brutal honesty is refreshing. And, while his social awkwardness and her lack of belief in love and relationships causes some issues, the spark between them forces them both forward. Does it always work, no, but with the help of those around them, they finally get their hea.
I love this series so much! I'm not a huge MC fan, but I love how Harley Stone writes MC. Rabbit and Elenore complement each other so well. Perfect opposites attract, but under the skin they are so much alike! This one was worth the wait!
Rabbit and Eleanor are kooky characters made in romance book heaven. Polar opposites with more in common than you’d expect make for paced, spicy fun.
The story does cover some serious triggers including parental death, PTSD, domestic abuse, sexual harassment, anxiety disorder and the abuse of alcohol. These have all been written sensitively and, with the exception of the panic attacks/PTSD symptoms, are only touched on with no elaborate details.
I’m a big fan of The Dead Presidents Mc. I’m really looking forward to Morse’s book.
