The fates never duplicate destiny's path. Shay, raised by humans, only recently found out she's a child of Helios, the sun god. She finds herself caught up in a battle of conflicting emotions and desires. As she prepares to meet up for drinks with her sister and her sister’s mate, thoughts of Jayce, a man who ignites a nagging longing and apprehension, dominates her mind.

Haunted by dreams of Jayce and the inexplicable connection they feel, Shay grapples with her attraction and the fear that Jayce' true mate's clock will tick in his soul ripping them apart forever. Despite her reluctance to fully engage with Jayce's persistence, Shay’s heart betrays her, yearning for a deeper connection.

Despite Shay's inner turmoil and the doubts that plague her, there's an undeniable pull towards Jayce, a magnetic attraction that challenges her resolve and pushes her to confront the complexities of desire and the shadows of Jayce's world that threaten to engulf her.

Jayce, a demigod shifter, has spent three and half decades playing the field. Taking every woman from his herd to bed who's willing to come home with him despite knowing his heart will only ever belong to his fated mate.

He saw no harm in having fun while he waited, until Shay entered his world sparking a possessive nature in more than one female that his selfish needs failed to place value in. It doesn't rattle his belief that Shay hasn't initiated the mating call. Nothing will convince him that anyone else belongs to him. The fates sent Shay to him, and he'll do whatever it takes to convince her of the truth.

Will the sins of Jayce's past get in the way of the fates plans for them? Will Shay follow her heart instead of her doubts? Or will the arrival of her biological father's herd rip them apart before they even have a chance?

Order now to find out what happens.

This is the second book in this series and it's really good. I would like to say that yes it does somewhat have a SOA feel at times you'll get to know those things a little bit clearer as you read this book or you get it on audiobook and this is a romance and they are minotaurs. Happy reading and don't forget your helmet

The storyline of this series keeps me entertained and wanting more. I received this as an ARC and I couldn’t put it down. Jayce and Shay, Anjal and Cill, and other couples to come have interesting stories to tell and I love reading them. As long as Tiffany Ann keeps writing amazing stories, I’ll keep reading them! Thank you Tiffany for your talents.

Oh my Tiffany Ann has pulled another awesome story! I laughed, I cried, I rejoced, I hated, and I loved; all the emotions were pulled from my soul. I fell in love with these characters all over again from the first book Anjal. Tiffany makes these characters come alive and makes you feel apart of their family. She makes the fantasy feel real. The anguish the characters feel are so real. I conneceted with Shay on a level of what she was going thru as i had experienced the same. I highly recommend this book and this series. You will not be disappointed!

I don't know what it is about Tiffany's writing, but I fly through it. I have said it before, and I will probably continue to say it each time I read another of her books. She is my favorite romance writer. There is something about Tiffany's scene flow, the dialogue and plots that just suck you in by the heart strings and don't let go until you are crying happy tears begging for more.
I cannot get enough of the banter between the characters. I love Shay to death, her vulnerability and honesty with herself brought me to tears. And Jayce! OMG TEARS! So many tears at how kind this man is to Shay to prove his devotion to her. Trying to convince your soulmate to believe that love can heal not only a broken heart but a broken body. Giving the person you love room to be them is something I only came to understand recently. It was a growing experience for me to learn I do not have to change myself for someone to love me. Shay found that with Jayce and it is so beautifully written that I was sobbing at how amazing it was to see that type of supporting romantic plot in a book about Soulmates. Because just because someone seems perfect and just because the Fates decide they should be together does not mean they will accept the person you really are but I guess if they didn't they wouldn't be soulmates.
This book will have you laughing, raging, crying, and cheering by the end of it. I was giggling at that last scene, Tick Tock.
The teaser for book three had me wanting to beg Tiffany Ann to write it faster. I cannot wait to learn more about this other herd and Emjay's tragic story.

Thanks to Tiffany Ann for a beta copy of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
Tiffany Ann has written several series about characters who have paranormal abilities. There are elements of romance in each book, with some spicy content. The stories include elements of crossover with characters popping up at intervals so it makes better sense to read them in order although they can be read as standalones because each novel concentrates on a particular couple.
This spin-off series is extra-interesting because of the demi -God and shifter elements, linking to Greek mythology. This is book 2 and I'm completely hooked! I definitely recommend this hot, romantic, unusual read.

Loved it!

Oh this was so good. I didn’t want it to end!! I liked Shay in book one. I love her attitude. She’s one of those characters where you can feel what she feels. She and Jayce prove love and defy the odds stacked against you. This one of the best shifter series I’ve read. I love the mystery weaved through the story line. At one point, I thought something wasn’t going to add up. If you get that sense too, hang on. It does work out. Snd perfectly. I don’t usually care too much about clothing in books. Some books have hired me with all their descriptions of what the characters are wearing. So not to give away any spoilers her, I’d love to see what Shay was wearing when her sister got married. I can’t wait for book 3!!

demigod shifters
not me wishing i had me a bull shifter ....
i knew i would love this book just like i loved anjal.
these men make me feral. i loved how the characters from anjal make it into Jayce's story.
shay is so strong and stubborn and i am here for it. she doesn't care if Jayce is sex on a stick she continues to resist his charm.
when he tells her "ill never ask you to be anything other than who you are" i swear i swooned out loud. he was a gentleman and didnt pressure her into anything. it was all on her terms. the twist towards the end of the book had me wanting to throw the computer lol

When I was reading anjal we learned about Shay and Jayce being fated and i knew Shay would push back and be a firecracker. Shay’s medical issues was high on Shay’s mind and didn’t think she was worthy of Jayce but he was determined to show Shay she was his. We was able to discover who and why her birth mother gave her up. Shay decided to seek help and let Jayce in to help her and the bond between them grew. Shay and Jayce had to overcome a few obstacles like the “sweet butts” and her father giving her to someone else. But in the end it was perfect.. fingers crossed in Damian’s book we get babies 😉😉😉

We first meet Shay and Jayce in Anjal, where Shay's life is turned upside down by the discovery that she's a twin - because, you know, one identity crisis just wasn't enough. Her attraction to Jayce, the human equivalent of oil and water, only adds to the fun, especially since she's convinced his true soulmate will show up any minute and stomp all over her heart. But don't worry, this is a romance novel, so naturally everything works out in the most ridiculously perfect way possible. I devoured this story like a bag of potato chips and can't wait to read Damien's story. I love how Tiffany Ann's stories are so well written with just the right amount of suspenseful steamy romance!

She has a very unexpected issue

We first meet Shay and Jayce in Anjal. Shay’s discovery of being a twin has rocked her to her very soul and provides more questions than answers about everything she thought she knew. Her attraction to Jayce, who is her opposite in every way, makes for an even more difficult time, especially when she fears his true mate will show up and wreak her heart. This is a true romance, so there is a happily ever after in a most unexpected way. I enjoyed this story very much and am looking forward to the next installment.

Love the narration of Caleb Schroeder, who brings the characters and emotions alive in your ears.

The first time we meet Shay and Jayce is in Anjal. Shay discovers that she has a twin. Which shocks her ,making Shay questions everything she thought she knew. Her attraction to Jayce, is another difficult for to come to terms with. He is the opposite to her in every way, makes for an even more difficult time. This book romance, and the ending that will surprise you. Ohh yes the right amount of steam.

Awesome as always

This is another awesome story from Tiffany Ann. I loved Shay and Jayce's story! I read all of her books and am never disappointed. This one doesn't disappoint a reader either. I've had this book in my "to be read" pile a while, but I put off reading it. Why? Because I knew there would be a book 3 and suspected I would have trouble waiting for its release. Well, I was right! I've already pre-ordered the next book! Can't wait!

Loved it!

I loved everything about this second installment, Tiffany Ann never disappoints! From Jayce's unwavering devotion and patience, to Shay's snarky independent nature and medical condition which is rarely explored in fiction, to the wonderful set up leaving into the next book—I'm in love!
Only one question remains... Is Circe schizophrenic or just desperate?!

A Demi-god Minotaur. I loved it. Jayce is a saint. We all look for that partner who will love us no matter what. Jayce is that Mate. He won't push. He won't change you. He will help you through "all" your pain. No matter what it takes. And Shay definitely needs that. An amusing meet cute and super slow burn. Great read. Or listen.

As good as I had hoped

I was super excited about Jayce. This has got to be my fav series of Tiffany Ann's. Yeah I say that every time she brings a new series out, because they're all so damn good! Oh the epilogue has me in knots though...how am I ever gonna wait for the next one? No cliff hanger for this couple (they get their happily ever after, but I'm eager to read about the next couple.) Not gonna say who, read the book to find out. The plot twists and turns are amazing.

Jayce is book two in The children of the sun god paranormal romance series and I LOVED the chance to see Shay and Jayce's story!!

I ADORED Anjal, and was so excited to read this and it most definitely did NOT disappoint

Things I loved -
🖤 He falls first.
Like HOT DAMN he fell HARD and I was so captivated by the 'will they wont they vibes'

🖤 Shifter. Demigod.
What more needs to be said!

🖤 The fated mates / touch her and die vibes in this were awesome and I loved every minute!

🖤 Womens sexual health rep.
Something I loved to see tackled in book is Women's health issues. Like there are SOOO many complicated issues that befall us as women and its GREAT to see this represented in books.

🖤 Interconnected characters.
LOVE a series that has interconnected characters, with each book focusing on a different part of the story. Definitely start with book one in this series Anjal.

Overall this is a really fantastic series.

Brilliant magical system, demigods shifter romance and great characters you'll be routing for throughout.

The type of book you open and then binge read till the end well into the night. Yes. Yes I did do that!

So go add this to your reads list, I recommend the authors other books too.

Shay was raised by humans. As well as Pricilla in the last book. They eventually learned they were Helios. Shay met Jayce and couldn’t stop thinking about him. But at first she didn’t like him. And then she couldn’t stop thinking about him.

Jayce on the other hand could hear the tik toks as he got closer to Shay. He couldn’t stop looking at her or stay away from her.

I really liked learning more about these two characters and how they became together! Highly recommend it!
