When Vix’s classmates find out that their visiting French exchange students will include boys, everyone is very excited. Everyone, that is, except Vix, who has a sick mother to cope with, and no time for boys.
But her student does turn out to be a boy, and, what’s more, he’s both gorgeous and charming. All her friends and schoolmates are jealous, especially when he appears to have eyes for no one but Vix.
But is he for real? How long can it last? And will Vix’s secrets and lies destroy the relationship?
I don't normally read teen fiction, but as I want to write in this genre I thought I ought to study it! This book certainly got a good review in the newspaper, and I can well understand why as it really gets under the skin of the various characters. It is really British, being set around Camden in London, when a group of exchange students arrive from France. I read an article about the author, Hilary Freeman. She suffers from MS, and this certainly features in the book, which is interesting.
This book was amazing as soon as i started reading it i couldn't put it down.I felt like i could relate to this book and i felt as though my story had been told.Overall really good book and i would really recommend it, if you have never read this book then please read it now especially if you are a teenager!!
Th book was nice, finished it in one sitting. Easy to read, not many exciting things happened. But overall it was a good story, light on the brain. Easy to read. But I wouldn’t read it a second time.
