I do enjoy a steamy romance novel every now and then, but somehow Margaux Fox's writing doesn't get me hot. This is the second book of hers I've read. Just like the first, it didn't do much for me. I can't explain why, but I just didn't feel it.
There wasn't much of a story to it. It was simply about a down-and-out musician performing on a cruise ship and chasing after some woman for sex. That woman doesn't seem particularly interested, yet they keep having sex.
About halfway through I was already dreading to continue reading and I decided to stop. 2⭐️ for the part I read.

A HOT and beautiful love story. Raven a still loved singer, but past her prime is the headliner on a Sapphic cruise ship. She does fine in the lady love department but then she sees Claudia. With help, she pursues her. This is their story! 5 stars!

A Sapphic “Something Beyond Fame” Love Story!
I do love a good story from Margaux Fox. She can take you on adventures you didn’t know you wanted to be. This story does that. The life of a cruise ship entertainer and the places one gets to stop at. The life it can afford you especially the many entanglements that you can imagine without getting in trouble. This time Raven Ramsey finds a face that she likes but all indications is this person doesn’t know her at all. Once Raven finds this woman, Claudia and starts to take an interest, she knows now that Claudia is only on this “boat” as she calls it for business. But things change and both are falling. Margaux takes us on a journey of happiness, heartbreak, sadness and rediscovering. However I feel like there was more of a story hidden behind their sexual connection, Not the Rockstar/Ice Queen Romance. Still good but not what I was expecting.

Well this one just made me smile all over!
I have enjoyed reading ng this series from Margaux Fox so very much. The all out desire for human touch, the thirst for real love and the winning of it brought me real joy. The very hot sex scenes are well written and kept the action moving along. I particularly loved the setting for this book. I love cruising, have never done the Olivia cruise now I can feel like I was on one!

Unique take on the rock star story — the singer still famous enough but past her industry prime and no longer touring big venues, now interested in the one person who won’t give her the time of day. Fate can be a cruel mistress, lol.
The whole setup was great, with a cruise ship and a business deal on the rocks. Claudia and Raven were great characters, along with best friend Urduja, and a smaller part for fellow traveler Sue Smith. The various cities and outings were great, though the secret deck of the ship was perhaps the best. Raven isn’t altogether washed up: every performance was fun, with great variety instead of the same set night after night. Plus, I do have a special weakness for when one character sings to the other…
On the other hand, I wouldn’t say this was flawless; the story felt a little compressed sometimes to fit in the shorter page count; for instance their initial breakthrough was a little abrupt. The late drama, while consistent with the characters, felt a bit formulaic. But at the same time, there were a lot of adventures in that same page count, so the fun-to-pages ratio was pretty favorable.
All in all, I do love me a rock star story, this was a unique one, and it was quick enough to fit in a single afternoon. Lots to like there.

Another age-gap, Ice Queen sapphic romance, this one is in an interesting location for a romance to unfold. On a lesbian cruise.
She doesn't want to do it, at first, but she feels it is necessary to try and get her new music out there to the newer generation. She knows that while aboard the ship she may find a friend with benefits, but never has thought she could find such a strong pull and affection in such a beautiful older woman, especially not with the likes of Claudia. Who takes her on a strong, lustful ride. She seemingly doesn't know if it could lead to much more after being finished, but she enjoys the ride with Claudia.
It was a somewhat simple ending and a somewhat simple story, with a sort of jarring ending sequence flipping us to being 5 years in the future, but it was not bad or badly written. Just had some pacing issues for me.

This book moved faster than the speed of light! I initially thought this book was longer than the other books in this series but man was I mistaken! It was in fact shorter! The couple not only had a love confession not even a month into being together or even in an established relationship! Not only that the couple had sex more than dogs in heat! They legitimately enacted coitus every few pages! I started this series with Dahlia and Alexa so the bar was set high from the start although they emulated rabbits or dogs in heat as well. But the plot and their relationship in that book was established prior to a love confession! I couldn’t even give this book the benefit of the doubt with a four star, due to it being immensely fast paced! Anyway, read at your own expense!
