Billie first met Royce at Wulf's Den while there to drag her drunken brother home to his wife. Even though she knows he is attracted to her, Royce refuses to see her again. With four older brothers, and being a personal trainer at her family's gym, Billie is not the type of woman to let a man she wants slip through her fingers.
Royce knows Billie is his mate, but with her being a mortal, he fights the attraction he feels for her. He already lost a mate who wasn't a werewolf and doesn't want to take the chance of getting hurt again.
As Royce's feelings grow for Billie another male werewolf stalks Royce. Thinking Royce's blood is the key to a magic spell, he will do anything to obtain it, even if he has to use Billie to get it.

Part of the Wulf's Den Series, this erotic tale was just about as good as the first. Billie is a strong woman, physically and emotionally. She knows what she wants and goes for it. She grew up in house with all males - her father and four brothers. When she meets Royce her instant attraction for him ignites her hormones like no other man has done. Billie takes to the werewolf culture with aplomb.
A nice erotic romance to curl up to for a quick get away.
What Is It About: Billie is a personal trainer at her family gym. Her brother gets drunk at Wulf's Den and Billie is sent to pick him up. This is where she runs into Royce. She is instantly attracted to him but it seems like he wants nothing to do with her, until she kisses him and he reacts. Royce knows that Billie is his mate but he can't let himself fall for a mortal just to lose her again so he tries to fight the attraction. But Billie is persistent. Unfortunately, Grendel is back and believes that Royce's blood is the key to turning mortals, he will stop at nothing to get Royce's blood even using Billie to get it.
What I Liked and Didn't: I do think that the plots are getting a bit meh. It's just the same thing: a bad werewolf kidnaps the mate to get back at the guy but in the end they're saved and live happily ever after. That's literally it, the majority is pretty character driven. This isn't really a good thing because I wasn't too fond of the characters. I didn't like Royce in the first book but I have to admit that this book endeared him to me a bit more because he was the focus so more of him was shown to the reader. Billie was the biggest issue with me, she just came off as pathetic in the way she chased Royce. I know that he actually wanted her and they're mates so she felt the pull but it was pretty pathetic and creepy to just show up at his house. She has a special power to find anyone that she's every met, I didn't see the point of it in the entire plot except for when Royce is kidnapped, she finds him. Yey.
Final Thoughts: I just think that the book series has been going a bit downhill since Beowulf and Roxie because their characters were great and the plot was original but now the plots are just becoming so similar that it's starting to get annoying. Would I recommend it? I won't so no but I'm starting to get bored of them so that isn't a very good sign. Will I be carrying on the series? Sure, fingers crossed that a better plot comes along.
Billie uses a talent only her family knows about to once again locate her drunken brother, of course he goes to the wulfs den. While there she runs into Royce and is rather pushy with him and even though he is reticant she decides that she will keep pursuing him since its obvious he wants her too. Billie has 4 other brothers and a protective father who are not too keen on her quick moving relationship, even without knowing Royce isnt human. When Billie finds out about the wolves she knows immediately that she will tell her family, but is still unsure about the possibility of being turned herself. Gren shows back up and is determined to create a wolf himself using what he thinks is the magic trick, Royce's blood. Good continuation of the story. Love that all the previous characters show up. Billie is a tough chick and amusing with her brothers. The next one picks up right where this one ends which I like.
I was happy to see that Royce got his own book and he really deserved to find another mate after so many years of losing his first mate and taking care of all of his grandchildren. I can understand how he would try to fight the pull of another mate but when you find your mate there is nothing you can do about it.
Billie is a take control girl and she knows what she wants. When she feels the pull that she feels when she sees Royce she goes after it and there is no hope for Royce after that. She takes the whole wolf thing easier than I thought she would.
With such strong characters you know that you will have a great story. The author didn't disappoint this time and her books just keep getting better and better. With every Wulf Den book I read the more I want. She makes all her books exciting and who wouldn't want their own wolf for themselves?
Can't wait to read the next book and see what happens next.
I loved this story. Billie is so cool, she’s bad-ass. I felt a good connection between these two.
At first, she’s a stalker, pushy, domineering, aggressive and strong. It’s usually the other way around in these books. So this is really different. For once the male gets a taste of his own medicine. With four brothers and no mom, Billie’s had to learn to hold her own and when she wants something she goes after it. I love her talent, she’d be great detective.
Royce. I know he’d been hurt in the past, but he needs to get back on the bicycle. Living for hundreds of years without a mate is sad. Especially when it’s not necessary. So I’m very happy at how this worked out.
And the back story is getting very interesting, except with all the new characters I'm worried since there's only a couple more books left.
Fave Scenes: Royce meeting Billie’s family, shopping with Janice, the elevator and Billie attacking Gren.
Royce never believed to find his mate again while taking a drink in the Wulf's Den he sees Billie walk in taking care of her brother because he is drunk again. So technically she is man handling him to go home to his pregnant wife. Billie has a special talent in finding people she sees without a name or address that's how she found her brother. Royce thinks that she needs assistance but then he smells her and on her part there is also an instant attraction. Royce tries to fight it but it doesn't turn out the way that he plans. He crumbles and fate takes its course. Billie has an encounter with Gren. Gren is up to nothing good once again. Billie finds out about Werewilves. This is a great book and a great book. I just love the series.
Man oh man Billie is one bada$$ chick! When Billie finds a man she wants she doesn't wait around for him to make the moves. Now she's set her sights on Royce and she won't let him refuse her when she knows they both want each other. Royce has experienced the pain of losing one mortal mate, so when he gets a whiff of Billie he knows he can't give in and risk losing another mate.
*sigh* I really wish we could just get rid of Roxie has a character in general. She's suppose to be this foretold one to bring all packs together, but when it comes to dealing with one nuisance who's harming people she can't believe that she may have to kill him? I'm pretty sure she won't last thousands of years having to do these decisions if this is how she reacts.
Sorry to keep bashing Roxie, but if she is the supposed "foretold one" and has to rule over a bunch of werewolf packs she's going to need to be able to make the tough decisions. It's extremely naive to think she can do this for the next couple thousand years without having to carry out an execution or two.
My only complaint with this series is that the love scenes don't really vary much from story to story; even the language she uses is the same in each book. The stories are enjoyable, but a little variety would be nice.
This one is about Royce & Billie. Funny, some action that kind of ties into the other books. Could use more book to add some danger/action to the story.
