Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

Ughhhh I really really wish this could’ve been better. I absolutely LOVED the plot. And I love a possessive hero who chases every other man away from his woman. And the heroine is a virgin, hasn’t been broken in and rutted by another man, so I was all set to love this, but the author chose to ruin it with the following:

1. Their first time together, when the hero claims his woman as his own, the MOST important love scene, was fade to black. She has done this before and it sucks every time.

2. It’s never explicitly stated if the hero has been celibate and faithful to the heroine all these years. Theres no mention at all about him with other women, but I need to know the hero kept himself only for the heroine and didn’t betray her by fucking another woman. The LACK of the hero assuring the heroine he has only ever had eyes for her and he’s never touched another woman, is a huge missing piece and a disappointment.

3. A cast of annoying side characters. I didn’t know who I despised more—the std-riddled manwhore friend or the skanky, sleazy party girl best friend. Choose better friends.

These elements ruined the swoon and this read just dragged on for me.

Safety unknown. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned, but also not mentioned if he has been faithful to the heroine. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. Heroine has gone on lots of dates but never been intimate with anyone. No sharing or abuse. HEA 5 years out.

Well at least the title matches the story this time. The story however is so lacking it was seriously boring and uninteresting. The MMC was too afraid to lose his twenty plus years of friendship and family with the FMC that he never pursued her. He just sabotaged any potential relationship she could have with someone else right at the beginning from her first dates. How it didn’t cross anyone’s mind that this was a lose lose situation idk. If the FMC had tried harder she could have dated without anyone even knowing. But instead the FMC tells all her adopted siblings every detail of her life so of course that’s how the MMC, who is one of these adopted siblings to her, knew whenever she had a date or anything about her life on the off chance she didn’t tell him on her own.

It was a childish plot line for thirty year olds. I’m sick of the thirty year old virgins that this author writes. The FMC’s have literally no life beyond the MMC being introduced. The FMC’s are like women from hundreds of years ago, cooking, sewing, reading or writing, gardening, nearly all the hobbies that old people do because they’re too old to do anything else. The FMC’s never have any other friends but once the MMC joins their life then bff’s just miraculously find the FMC’s. The FMC’s are so boring and not always downtrodden, which I do like when they are downtrodden.

The setup is the MMC hears that the FMC is giving up on men and just wants her babies. So she is going to get sperm and pop them out. The MMC of course just volunteers himself to be the sperm donor. This would be good if it wasn’t so rushed into. They start banging right away. The next morning they/FMC wants to be a secret couple to see if they can work. The MMC is like sure, and bangs away some more. A few weeks or months pass, the FMC has a spotty monthly at least once so they think pregnancy hasn’t happened yet. Then here comes stupid Sarah dropping bombs about how all the siblings were paid to spend time with the FMC by the MMC as her ploy to make the main couple fess up to their feelings for each other. Yeah, she’s so helpful, not! And of course the third act break up happens but it’s all resolved three days later as all the siblings remind the FMC that as foster system children who have security issues none of them are going to pass up money. They only took it because they were going to spend time with her anyway. However, the MMC says the same thing which is likely realistically true but then says that these same characters wouldn’t take his money for other things when he tried giving it to them. So really which is it? Pride they wouldn’t take his money or insecurity they didn’t take his money and were indeed being paid to spend time with FMC. So this last part just blew the whole loving but messed up makeshift family out of the water for me.

Anyway, this book had potential but was too boring and lacking in any real depth. I hated the over grown slut child character Sarah as she was too annoyingly stupid to be likable. I will never read this book again as it didn’t leave me with any desire to even continue supporting this author’s work it was so pointless a story. It’s not the first to leave me feeling like I wasted my time and money. It absolutely could have been better. It just wasn’t. Good luck.

Nope nope nope. I can get behind a possessive H, but this guy paid all of the h’s closest friends to hang out with her, and then they were all mad when she found out and was hurt. They were like “What’s wrong with you? You know we love you, and we’re not going to say no to money, so what’s the problem?” as if she’s the crazy one for being hurt. They’re all gross.

You fade to black on the first intimate scene you get a one star period. This author is seriously becoming not worth my time nor my money. I believe I’m gonna take her off my buy list

Great story

I really liked this book. Six friends, all gone through the system, have formed an unbreakable bond. Nate, Carly, Sarah, Reese Dalton and Mitch. Nate has managed to make himself wealthy, through some questionable paths. Carly is the down-to-earth, bookworm girl, with the dream to become a writer and most of all, a Mom. They both are in love with one another, but they hesitate to act on it, because they are afraid to damage their strong friendship. Nate, however, has managed to destroy every single potential date Carly had so far. He is also the one that tries to help everyone in the group by providing money (he finds excuses to give them) – and in case of Carly, work and accommodation. She doesn’t know that Nate is actually her boss and landlord, however. He just wants to protect her. When he learns, however, that Carly is thinking to become a single mom through a sperm donor, he breaks and…decides to be the one to give her the baby she so much craves….and through the old-fashion way…Sparks fly, their friends try to help – with some disastrous results at times.

I liked both Nate and Carly. Nate is determined, strong, an undeniable Alpha – the father figure of the group. Carly is sweet, innocent and forgiving – the mother figure of the group. I loved their strong relationship. I also liked every one of the friends in the group, although Sarah got on my nerves from time to time. I couldn’t keep being mad at her for long, though, because whatever she does or tells comes from a good place.

All in all, it was a pleasant, quick read. If you’re into this type of stories, you’ll like it. Good writing, likeable characters and nice flowing, albeit predictable, plot. 4 stars.

No One Else Can Have Her - By Sam Crescent

Carly Andrews is growing frustrated, all potential romantic dates that she plans either don't show up or the ones that do are just horrendous thanks to Nate's threatening behaviour. Carly is starting to feel that she is cursed, even undesirable but that couldn't be further from the truth. Carly grew up in Foster care and with the bond she shares with Nate Smith, Sarah, Reese, Dalton and Mitch, they created a family of their own. Always protecting each other, having each others back there is nothing the six of them won't do for one another. However, in protecting one another and trying to not upset the family dynamic Carly and Nate don't admit that they love one another and in more than a familial way. Nate has rose to become the king of the underworld and he protects his family above all else but he worries his feelings will destroy his relationship with Carly. However, once the thought of someone else giving Carly what she truly needs and wants becomes a possible reality Nate goes above and beyond to show her just how special she is. I adored Nate and Carly, such beautiful characters and so well written. I loved the bond the six family members had and show that family is made up of so much more than just blood. The hurt when secrets came to light was heartbreaking but gave you a deeper understanding of the characters it was beautiful to read. I would of liked the ending to of been a bit longer but that's just because I didn't want it to end. A thoroughly enjoyable, steamy read that was delicious in every way. Happy Reading.
Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given.
5 out of 5 Stars.

Nate Smith, Carly Andrews, and Sarah, Mitch, Reese and Dalton grew up together in a group home. Nate has been taking care of the rest and is a powerful man, a kingpin, with the other men that are his friends, working for him. While Sarah and Carly live together, and Carly works at a bar. Nate has set things up to make things easier for Carly so she is happy as he has been in love with her since they pretty much met. Although he hasn't acted on it. He does a lot of things that if she found out about it would absolutely tick and freak her out. Sarah's plans tend to be mucked up. She thinks that she can get Nate and Carly together and the other guys try to stop her. Carly has always wanted to be a mom and have a family. All of them have had horrible lives before going into the group homes and aging out. I found each of the characters to be fascinating and awesome. My heart bled for them and I wanted to smack Sarah as she ended up doing what she always does. The book is funny, romantic, steamy, and cool. A little scary because of what Nate is, but the book is well written and I really enjoyed it. I wish there were books about the rest of them as their love lives are glossed over. Reese and Mitch were my faves, after Nate and Carly.

Nate, Carly, Reese, Dalton, Mitch and Sarah all grew up in foster care. Nate has been in love with Carly since he met her. Now they are grown up and all living their lives and they are the only family they have. Nate is still in love with Carly and he proves it by taking care of her. The Flat she lives in is his, the bar she works at is also his and every guy she has a date with, he warns away. And all of these things Carly has no idea of.

Now because every guy she suppose to go on a date with cancels or just doesn’t show up. Since she has always wanted a family, she decides to get pregnant on her own. Until Nate finds out and immediately decides that its time to make his move… But what will happen when she finds out what he has done to take care of her…

I enjoyed this short story. Nate was the grumpy, hot, rich guy who only wanted to take care of the people in his life. Carly was the sweet, love to take care of everyone type of person. Just like Nate was in love with her, she was in love with him. But they just didn’t admit their feelings for each other. Loved both these characters, and the side characters as well. The story was sweet and definitely made me want to have a guy go out of his way for me the way Nate did for Carly 😊

Nate (H), Carly (h), Sarah, Reese, Dalton, and Mitch has all been best friends since coming together in foster care twenty years earlier, though Carly has always secretly, at least to her, held a special place in Nate's heart. Over the years, Nate, a powerful figure in the criminal underworld, ensures no man gets close to Carly, sabotaging her dates to keep her from experiencing heartbreak or rejection. Carly, who is kind and affectionate, doesn't realize why her dates often don't show up, but she remains optimistic about finding love. She expresses her desire to have children and starts considering unconventional means, like sperm donation, but when Nate hears about Carly's plans, he proposes to give her what she wants—a child—but the old-fashioned way, suggesting they become intimate. Things heat up between the two and their relationship moves from friends to a deeper connection as they navigate the complexities of love, family, and loyalty within their tight-knit group. Hot and steamy friends to lovers romance with lots of angst, drama, feels, humor, found family, and a rich group of friends.

Another great read by Sam Crescent.

Carly is tired of not finding someone to spend the rest of her life with. She just wants to be a mother and have a family. So she decides to get a sperm donor for this, but once Nate finds out, he quickly offers to do it the old fashioned way. This was Nate's way of showing he loves Carly. He has been in love with her for so long that he only wants the best for her.

Nate was a bit of a bully. Not necessarily to Carly, but he did push people out of her life who he thought wasn't good enough for her. This was all because he was too afraid to confess his own feelings to Carly and take a chance on a relationship.

They were cute together, as they had both been in love with the other for quite a long time. They were finally taking a chance on being together, but sometimes the best laid plans go amok. This story showed you should just be honest and take a chance on something that could make you happy. If you lie about it, it might just blow up in your face.

Great novella
Nate, Carly, Sarah, Mitch, Dalton and Reece all grew up in the care system. They met when young and their friendship group has become their family group.
Nate has become a well known crime boss, money making and money giving friend, who has been in love with Carly for years. Carly is kind, caring and sharing, gentle in her demeanor and has been in with Nate for just as long..only neither realise it, but the others are well aware. Nate has always cared for her, makingbsure she has everything she wants and needs, secretly providing for her. When Carly decides to look for a sperm donor, longing for a child, Nate steps in and insists on doing it the right way. Sarah's meddling may have good intentions, but is definitely doomed to fail eventually, as does so spectacularly. It takes the men to encourage Carly.
All the characters are great, bring humour and problems to the fore. Enjoyable reading.

Nate has loved Carly since her first saw her. He and all the others, Reese, Dalton, Mitch, and Sarah, all were in foster care. Each never adopted. They were a family. Nate did everything to make sure no one ever came close to hurting Carly. But Carly isn’t happy with her life. Failed attempts at dating and nothing but her family. She wanted more. When she decides that she didn’t need a man to have a baby, is when Nate woke up. I have to say that Sarah didn’t always think her plans out. I understand wanting for these two to finally get together but she went about it all wrong. The story moves along at a good pace. I was thrilled when things went down the right path and then it all fell apart. Sometimes you have to let things fall into place and not try to push. Thank goodness things worked out for them all.

Cute and Sweet

Nate Smith is in love with Carly Andrews and has been for a long time. However, he doesn’t know how to tell her so they’ve just been really good friends. Nate has made sure no one else was able to move in on her though since he is very possessive. This has lead Carly to believe she’s unlovable and her only way to have a family is to get pregnant on her own. She’s doesn’t need a man.

Nate is shocked when he learns of her plan and this forces things to move forward for them because he’ll be dammed if she carries anyone’s child but his. Desperate times call for desperate measures and the truth finally comes out.

Loved this sweet story about two people meant to be together and following an unusual path to their happiness.

✨ Review with spoilers ✨

Ok,

So I love Carly and their little family but what I couldn’t get over was the fact he sabotaged every date (even if they didn’t fight for her) and claimed he loved her since they were younger BUT he obviously wasn’t a virgin.
Normally I love possessive MMC’s but to me, this screamed toxic and not the good kind either!
So he was allowed to sleep with other women but she wasn’t?! He even had this argument with Reece. For me, loving my husband, I could never sleep with someone else, even before dating I did not want someone else. He allowed her to become a twenty nine year old virgin but how many women did he sleep with!!!

It actually bothered me more than it should and I know it’s just a book but he was being such a hypocrite that it kind of ruined the male lead for me.
Loved the book just not the man 😂

Nate is in love with Carly, Carly is in love with Nate. But, neither knows about the other’s feelings. These two have know each other since they were children. They were all foster children who were never adopted so they created their own make shift family with a few other children. Now Carly has a request for Nate. Will he be able to do this for her? Nate has always been in the background maneuvering and managing Carly’s life without her knowing. Great story. I always find Sam Crescent’s male characters to be dominant, possessive, they always fall first and hard. They will destroy anyone who tries to harm their heroine. I guess that why I enjoy these books so much. It’s great to read about men who love their women so much.

Oh how I loved this story. Nate and Carly have been "dancing" around each other for years. Nate wants her but at the same time, he doesn't. That doesn't stop him from scaring off anyone she dates or wanted to date. Carly has had nothing but disappointment in the dating field. She wants a baby so she tells her friends that and you know Nate is NOT going to let that happen. He'll give her a baby the old fashioned way. But when she discovers that all her friends have kept secrets from her, she storms out. I would have loved to see more groveling on each of their parts but the story was still good! Will she forgive them all?

Nate has been in love with Carly for years but she has no idea. He afraid he will destroy their friendship if she finds out but that does not mean he wants another man touching her. He threatens every possible suitor and they never show up. Carly believes she is the problem but she wants to have a baby, so a sperm donor may be the answer. Nate volunteers to be the donor the old fashioned way.

The pair seem to moving toward something when a well meaning friend upends everything. Will this be the end of their friendship or can they weather the storm?.

Family can come in many forms. Sometimes a family consists of friends that love each other and share their lives together. Carly and Nate, along with their other 3 friends met in foster care and after aging out, they were determined to stay together. Nate has loved Carly since the very first day. He has done everything in his power to make sure Carly stays untouched. His obsession has led him to sabotaging her dates to the point she has given up. When she decides to have a baby on her own, Nate realizes he has run out of time. It's time to finally stake his claim once and for all. But what happens when the truth comes out? Great read by Sam Crescent.

Oh man this book was another favorite from Sam Crescent!!! I thought the storyline was original, page-turning and oh so romantic. The characters were complex and had a beautiful chemistry. I loved the push and pull and angst between both main characters. I loved the side characters with ones needing ways and the others wit and compassion. This book was beautifully written with an Anti-hero with a soft spot for his obsession. The heroine was independent, loyal and loved her friends like family. I can’t wait to see what Sam Crescent brings next!!!.

A quick read that focused on Carly (FMC) and Nate who are part of a group of 6 people that have made their own family with each other after growing up in care (A children's home) together. All still living in each other's lives but it's Carly and Nate that are drawn to one another more so than as family. With Nate chasing off any potential men or anyone interested in her. Only when Carly is drastically thinking about getting a donor to help her a child of her own Nate is the first one to step up for the job by using old methods with plenty of steamy scenarios. A good read with characters I really liked.

Six foster children who built their own family together. They are like siblings, except Nate and Carly who have both feel more for each other, but have not acted on their feelings and are also unaware of how the other feels - despite it being obvious to their friends.

This was a quick read, I liked the vibe between the friend group, how Nate took care everyone financially and Carly like a mother hen. I did enjoy the book, however I was not a fan of the fade to black for the first intimate scene.

Short but sweet! I have read other novels by this author and enjoyed them and this novella did not disappoint. I was so excited to jump into this novel, from the first couple chapters I was pulled into this book. Nate and Carly were both in the foster care system together. Carly has always been in love with Nate. Nate finally realises that Carly has feeling for him, and makes up his mind to make this happen. I loved watching them both acknowledge their feeling for each other and come together. I loved it. I can't wait to see what this author has coming next.

I liked the story. Nate isn't necessary a good guy legally, but Carly is aware of this. Both grew up in foster homes and made a family with the other foster kids they grew up with.

Carly is a caring woman who takes care of their family. Finding out that Nate has been messing with her dating life nearly breaks up her relationship with him as well as their family.

This story is just about their relationship. There is no outside danger to Carly.

But when she wants to have a baby thinking all the dates she’s went on were because she’s unlovable, he steps up to give her that but the old fashion way even though he was the reason all her dates went wrong. Review of No One Else Can Have Her by Sam Crescent
* * * * *
When your obsessive crush towards your best friend carries lies that could end everything.

Carly has had enough of the dating game, since the games seriously sucks. She wants to have a baby. When her bestie Nate hears of her plan to become a mother, Nate knows he needs to act. However, actions have consequences.

Sam Crescent has unsurprisingly written another great read that fills in the dull empty days I face. Spicy, check. Curvy women getting treated right, check. Obsessive twist, check.

Nate had always wanted Carly, though he doesnt want to ruin the friendship they have, she's his light in the world and he can't ever lose that. But when Carly, fed up of all her failed dates (thanks to Nates intervention) just wants to have a family of her own, Nate knows he cant stand by anymore. But will crossing that line cost them both when secrets unravel? Well written, engaging steamy, friends to lovers, protective, desires and more.

Blood doesn’t always make a family and this book shows how love brought together six children, in foster care, who became a family. I loved the story. It tugged at my heart strings all throughout the story. I especially loved Nate and Carly and how they finally admitted to their feelings for each other. It’s a great story that I would highly recommend reading.

This was quite the reading adventure with Nate scaring off any man/date that Carly had....for years! He just figured she wasn't ready to hear how he felt about her but couldn't handle her seeing anyone else. Riiight ;P What the unintended consequences of his actions are is a complete loss of self esteem by Carly and he has to move fast to fix it. I enjoyed this entertaining read, filled with humour, drama, romance and steam.
