My name is Lexi Helyanwe and less than a week ago I’d been a nice girl just out looking for a little fun. Fortune had smiled on me and I’d discovered Gareth Blue and Jace Green, my sweeties, both Dragons. Since then my life has turned upside down. I’ve lost my innocence, and my job, took up cohabitation with Gareth and Jace, been to Hell and back… literally, acquired an Elf, a half Goblin, a Minor God, and my very own Demon. Not a bad week, all in all. I’d also slipped up and made the papers when my status as a Princess of Faerie was exposed. I can tell you that hadn’t made Mom happy! She yelled at me, I yelled at her, and she’d gone off to see about getting her Mom, the Queen, to reopen the Sidhe doors. Something that hadn’t happened since they’d slammed closed more than fifty years earlier. That was when a deadly virus had spread worldwide, killing a good portion of the US population, and bringing the non-humans out of the closet, so to speak.

Review to Self: 4 confused stars
This is still an awesome series, though I’m a bit confused and frustrated. I’m angry with Lexi for letting the males dragons dictate to her and push her around. There is actually a law that states she has to accept any drake to her bed? That’s basically rape and I’m spitting mad that Dane would make to enforce this archaic law that hasn’t been relevant for thousands of years. And everyone just goes along with it? Um what? Screw you and the horse you rode in on Dane!
I’m also super confused about the relationships Lexi has with her men. She seems basically mated with Garett and Jace but plans to leave them? To go where? What about her addiction to them?
The other guys just seem like side objects, but I thought they were supposed to be her mates too…? She barely even has sex with her other men. I feel a bit cheated by that btw, not much hot group sex yet.
When Lexi gets new dragons will she replace green and blue? It’s all so uncertain. I have no idea what’s going on with them. It seems all her men are temporary except Kit - because of his lifetime contract.
I’m still pretty mad at Lexi’s dad. Seriously, he has never seen her in her entire life but shows up and starts yelling at everyone. Never hugs her, never a good word, nothing. Then he gives her a lame ass excuse about why he couldn’t be with her mother, which never explains why he couldn’t have been in her life. And she just goes about calling him ‘Dad’ like it’s his right and she’s known him forever. THEN he invites the dangerous black dragon into her home and tells him her secrets! Is he retarded?? Not gonna lie, I kinda wanna murder Roarke.
I’m also pretty angry about Lexi’s mom. I don’t actually think she cares about her daughter at all. She is cruel and only thinks about herself. In fact, Narcissist is the word I would use. It seems she is always trying to belittle Lexi and let’s everyone else take the fall/repercussions from her mistakes. I hope they are purposely going somewhere with this.
Also, why is everyone so averse to just killing the bad guys! Stop giving them second chances!! Don’t they know that bad guys always come back and never give up?

Great second book
I love how this story is progressing. She is a collector of fine things and I want all her things! Lexi just keeps surprising me and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
