Reasonably entertaining, if let down by poor proofreading. The characters are not nearly as strong as say, Stuart MacBride's, although many exhibit decidedly odd mannerisms and questionable ethics. Not to mention very poor decision-making. The book zips along; despite my reservations, it is easily read and the settings seem authentic.
Another great story about the 'trials' and tribulations of a Scottish Defence Lawyer. An interesting and very entertaining insight into the strange world of our legal system.
Robbie has to defend a tech mogul accused of killing his mistress. At the same time he's co-defender for teenage brothers accused of desecrating a mausoleum.
Getting used to these now. The characters are starting to develop. Enjoying the legal side of these and knowing there is an element of truth makes them more interesting.
