When struggling athlete, Alexa Sharpe is working in the luxury hotel bar, the next hotel guest she serves is the Hollywood star Dahlia Dante.
In Dahlia, she encounters a woman who is beautiful and brilliant, and Alexa senses there is a lot more to Dahlia than Google can tell her.
Sexual chemistry burns brightly between them and Alexa knows she wants Dahlia. She really wants her.
Dahlia soon admits she wants Alexa, too—but on her own terms.
Shocked yet intrigued by Dahlia’s erotic requests that are much more BDSM than Alexa has encountered before, she hesitates.
For all of Dahlia's success—her movies, her awards, her vast wealth—Dahlia is consumed by the need of submission, and despite Dahlia's public heterosexuality, Dahlia needs to submit behind closed doors to a woman.
When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Alexa discovers Dahlia Dante’s most intimate secrets and explores her own darkest desires.
When Alexa begins to feel things for Dahlia that are so much more than just physical, what will she do?
Contract for Love is erotic, romantic and deeply moving. Alexa and Dahlia promise to intrigue you, obsess you and stay with you forever.

Lovely, sensual quick read! Told in Alexa’s pov, we see her side of everything from where she works, how she feels and how she navigates meeting and engaging a famous celebrity. Lots and lots of spice well written and oh so hot. Mild bdsm exploration. Following your dreams and finding love when you least expect it (or we anxiously expect it lol). Neatly wrapped up in an epilogue. Recommend!!!
I am a fan of Margaux Fox. Her Royal Bodyguard Series is still one of my favorite. Contract For Love has a different twist with two very strong characters from two different lives. This book sizzles from start to finish. Dahlia is a movie star, unhappy with where she is in life, not trusting anyone especially herself. Her attention while in town filming is the hot female bar keep. Alexa tends bar at a swanky hotel. She is a runner who has one more chance to score a medal. All her focus has been on running and improving her speed and endurance. She runs every night along with swimming to keep her muscles strong. She was raised by her Grandmama after her parents died, and with her love and support, Alexa wants to do this for them. Always keeping her focus. Although her focus now is on a breath taking beautiful women who she recognizes but her beauty in real life is unbelievable. As Alexa serves her a mocktail, she can’t help looking into her eyes. Night after night when she is working Dahlia is there. Until one night, a decision is made for Alexa to go to her room. What transpires changes Alexa’s life and her focus. The chemistry between these two was written as only Margaux Fox can do.
So there I was about 3/4 of the way into the book, thinking it was getting a little same-y and I was going to have to ding it for not having much plot. Then whoa, the last quarter changed all that up! Suddenly Alexa is racing and Dahlia’s agent is freaking out and things are happening! At least, outside the hotel room, which is the part that was largely missing earlier.
The end was surprisingly abrupt, but… I think I actually liked it that way? By that point I felt that what I was looking for was not another hotel room scene but some weight and attention on how things could actually move forward past the zone they’d been stuck in… And that’s exactly what the end and epilogue provided. I didn’t miss what wasn’t there.
All in all… Alexa and Dahlia were surprisingly sweet, Grandmama was supportive in just the right way… I guess I would have been happy if other than the contract business early on, the plot got moving a little sooner… but it redeemed itself in the end, so I can’t really complain. Overall a fun read.
I'm a fan of Fox but this one just fell a bit short/rushed/different. There was more observations and "inner dialogue" than actual conversation or dialogue between characters in my opinion and it just didn't flow. No pov from Dahlia which was frustrating and the ending just was so rushed and the resolution of 3rd act breakup came at like 93% and then *poof* it's over with a 5yrs later epilogue which was a bit unnecessary really because it was inner dialogue only and was lacking. I enjoyed the overall plot and Alexa's character was a strong athlete with a naturally dominant persona but Dahlia was so dimensional due to no real depth or knowledge about her or her pov that it was too shallow of a romance tbh. I enjoyed it as a quick read but I've read so much better from Fox and hope what comes next will be even better.

4.5 stars. The first person point of view was a bit much in the beginning. It felt narcissistic ... I returned the book already so not quoting exact but something about "my body curves into a graceful arc ... as I hit the water" or something like that ... I mean come on !!! There was an age-gap but it didn't read like that at all. The actress MC came across as young, naive, and easily impressed. Perhaps the chemistry the author was trying to convey didn't quite work out the same way in my brain. But I enjoyed the quick read. A bit of spice. Very light on the BDSM. I may go onto the next in the series in a bit.
Alexa is an A class runner who works in a very exclusive bar filled with wealthy clients, one of which is Dahlia, an actress who has not come out. They enter into a contract to have their needs met, but never expect to fall in love.
Told in Alex's POV, the story is filled with emotion and sizzle. The epilogue wrapped up the story very nicely. There are many editing issues from typos to switching tenses. It could have benefited from another round of proofreading, but if you enjoy spicy stories, then this is for you!
I love the first few chapters. It's intriguing and Dahlia seems full of mystery. Until they had sex, and everything felt like a blur. I never thought I'd say this, but the sex scenes were way too long, and they felt repetitive to me. I ended up skipping a few pages of it. The book also seemed to rush towards the end. I would rather it had cut off a few pages of the sex scenes and focused more on the emotional build-up and a proper pacing for the ending.
Margaux has written with a flair that carried me into the tension of a first physical encounter between two beautiful women that was exquisite and erotic but radiated a tender warmth. There is a a depth to this tale that grasps your wrist and pulls you into their peculiar but understandable lifestyle. I loved it and for once found the plot quite plausible although based on a different plane to most people’s lifestyle.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a book that was spicy enough that got me buzzed. The story held through the book. At the end, I wanted to know what happens next. Then, there was an epilogue which answered some of the question, but I still want more. The one thing that got me was the use of whilst, it is not a word used in the USA. I really recommend this book, the author can write good love stories.
OMG this is perhaps one of the sexiest reads ever in a wickedly wonderful story!
Margaux Fox gets better with each book she writes. This story is written from a viewpoint I would never consider, I think that actually made it better! I found I could not put it down! The sex had me hot and bothered, the tension just kept building! Gads, I was in tears nearing the end! Read this and I am sure you will agree.
Personally I think this book would have benefited from a second point of view. So many times I wondered what was going on in Dahlia’s head. Apart from that issue it’s an ok story. A quick read that is predictable while also being high on spice. I just wanted a deeper connection to both characters.
This book was very lovely! I loved Alexa all throughout this book, favorite character by far! Dahlia on the other hand can go elsewhere, I have immense disdain for this woman all for what she did to Alexa. I love the wholesomeness of Alexa’s supportive grandmother! But I must add that both Alexa and Dahlia emulated rabbits all throughout the book. Anyway, lovely book!
Alexa Sharpe is the bartender at a luxury hotel when she finds herself serving Hollywood star Dahlia Dante. They are definitely attracted to each other and Dahlia offers her a relationship of secrecy and submission. A story of two women who are both very different and similar. Erotic sapphic romance.
Two goal oriented women from completely different worlds come together needing what the other offers. Hiding isn't a problem until ones career clashes with the personal life of the other. Can they find a way to not only love each other but love themselves enough to do the right thing...
This is almost a PWP (plot? what plot?) story. VERY steamy. Lots of sex. A bit of domination and submission. Not sure how I feel about this one. If you like it steamy, give it a go.
I just loved it! It is the first book I have read by the author and I loved it. It is written in Alex's voice, but it presents all the characters very well. I loved the description of the sensual scenes. I'm going to look for more books by the author to read it.
I loved this book by Marguex Fox. It was very spicy, intimate scenes, with amazing chemistry. I loved the tenderness as well as the more private moments. I did not want to put it down. This is my first book by Fox. I will continue to follow her.
An unexpected pairing. But all the best ones are. It started with a secret love affair between two unlikely woman. But sometimes the connection is there from the start and you just know.
The bartender at a swanky hotel meets and falls in love with a high flying actress thus book follows through their love the deception of staff but to finally get the happy ending🌹🌈
I liked the story/plot. I wish this book had better editing... Some of the errors in there could have easily been avoided with a good beta read, or even just some proofreading.
Pretty well done contemporary lesbian romance with some crazy high levels of HEAT. Seriously steamy love affair between a Hollywood starlet and professional runner.
Again, horrible confusion between languages- is it a lift or an elevator? American characters set in “London” but not really. The story fell flat as did the characters.
