I had envisioned our meeting with excitement, but reality hits hard. Feral Hears is Book Ten of the hot and steamy shifter series, The Westwood Pack, and is a fated mate, forbidden love romance.
F.D. Fair writes fierce, heart-stealing paranormal romance full of the strange, the magical, and the beautifully unexplained. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, she’s a devoted wife and proud mom of three wild, wonderful boys who constantly remind her that real life can be just as unpredictable as her books.
A lifelong fan of all things supernatural, F.D. fell in love with paranormal romance as a reader first — until the stories in her head grew too vivid to ignore. She turned her daydreams into words, and the Westwood Pack Series was born: a world of shifters, prophecies, true mates, and bonds strong enough to burn down any cage.
When she’s not writing about loyal Alphas, headstrong heroines, or the secrets that lurk in the shadows, you’ll find her curled up with a good book, coffee in hand, plotting her next adventure into the unknown.
The more I learn/read about the Westwood Pack, the more I love this group of shifters. They are still on a mission to save the world and hopefully allow River to come home. If you are like me, every book is an adventure because I started in the middle of the series. I still have plans to go back to the beginning but I can't resist when a new book comes out. The pack is trying to make headway with the humans to get the environment back on track. The only contingent that was willing to entertain them was the Canadian Government. Everything seems to be going fine until Meredith meets her mate. Her mate, Oliver Walker, seems to be human. His tiger fights his way to the surface, after being unwillingly suppressed, when they see Meredith. Their mating could jeopardize not only his survival but Meredith's as well.
Oliver's father has hated shifters since his mate was killed. He has treated Oliver with distain any time his tiger threaten to surface and has went to great lengths to prevent that from happening. Now that Oliver and Meredith have met, they have to find a way to be together. You know the pack is on the case. They are not going to be deterred, especially when they find out everything that Oliver has been going through at the hands of his father. A plan is hatched to get Oliver out so him and Meredith can be together. This book is fast-paced. Everybody is working hard to bring the couple together forever.
Feral Hearts by FD Fair is book ten in the Westwood Pack Series. This author is one of my go to’s when I want to read a good paranormal romance. This book, just like all the rest, is just so well done. You can read each book as a standalone. But I personally recommend reading them in order so you can see how well each book is built off of each other. Plus other characters make an appearance so it’s great to see that. I really enjoyed this particular book because of the characters. I loved the overall feel of this book and how it just drew you in. I could understand Oliver’s fear about his father with his mate. I honestly flew through this book never once putting my kindle down. It was written really well and moved along at a steady pace. The worldbuilding is great as it really just keeps expanded with each book. The descriptions make it easy to picture what you’re reading. I haven’t been disappointed by a single book yet by this author. Highly recommended!
Meredith signed up for danger, but she did not sign up for fate… until she meets Oliver, a broody half-tiger who’s been hiding his stripes to keep daddy happy. Spoiler: daddy hates shifters. Talk about awkward family dinners. 🍽️🙃 Oliver is torn between two worlds: his father’s prejudice and his tiger’s purr (which only roars louder when Meredith’s around). Meredith? She’s fierce, fearless, and not about to let some old man’s grudge stand in the way of true mate love. 💕
Sure, it’s dramatic (family trauma, prejudice, danger everywhere), but that’s what makes it so fun! It’s fast-paced, passionate, and gives you the good stuff—love that claws its way through obstacles.
Meridith and Oliver are two tiger shifters that come together when the Westwood Pack moves forward with their plan to reveal the presence of the supernatural world to the human leaders (of Canada, as that's where the pack was based out of). Oliver is the child of a shifter mother and human father, only now his father hates all shifters after his wife was killed. This hatred threatens to keep them apart and destroy any chance the pack has at bringing together both humans and the supernatural in order to save the world. There's plenty of action, romance, and the importance of family, both blood and found. This book will keep you reading from start to finish!
This is hands down my favorite book in this series so far. The main character has so much depth to his storyline that it really makes the story so much better. The romance didn’t feel rushed between Oliver and Meredith, and the story flowed so well with the drama of everything happening. I was really curious to see how the meetings with the humans was going to go, and I didn’t expect this storyline. I absolutely loved every second and I am now vibing with excitement to read the next one to see more of the prophecy and Riley/River content.

F.D. Fair Feral Hearts: A Fated Mate, Forbidden Love Paranormal Romance (The Westwood Pack Book 10) Merideth and Oliver These two Both having been kept in capacity at some point in their lives, or on their own, or without the support of their family. Merideth is with Samara at a conference when she scents her mate, but Oliver cannot claim her, or even acknowledge her for fear his father will kill her. Read and discover how or if they can be mates! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love Oliver!!! I’m so glad Meredith got a story. My heart broke for her earlier in the series knowing she had to live on her own for so long. Oliver’s story is sad. I loved watching him become the man and tiger her was meant to be. This is one of my favorite series! I watch for these books to release. I like that we still the other characters in the stories. All of them are snacking. Alaric will probably always be my favorite though. Can’t wait for the next one
Feral Hearts is Book 10 in the Westwood Pack series. We meet new characters and get to see so many old characters. Meredith and Oliver are mates, only problem is that Olive's under the rule of his dad a prejudiced human. This was a beautiful story and one I could not put down once I started to read it. I absolutely loved this book.
Great I enjoyed the stories. Well thought out. excellent word choices and it was smooth. only suggestion is to add a who’s Who of the characters. A family tee. That would help a lot.
Another amazing chapter in the Westwood Pack saga. This novel focuses on Meredith and Oliver, both tiger shifters brought together by fate. Their beautiful story of love winning all is action packed and full of heart. F. D. Fair does it again. This is a must read!
I need more. I’m definitely excited for book eleven. This was a great story. Spoiler coming: I still don’t understand why Rivers dad seems to be forgotten. Is he alive? Is he dead? Did I miss something?
Andrew was cruel to the very bone and I think that was always in him. I enjoyed this book and I know this author is coming with something more exceptional. I can't wait to see how the prophecy plays out.
Feral Hearts by FD Fair is book 10 in Westwood Pack and is a romantic shifter fantasy. This series is fantastic with each book being a standalone love story but also built on all the prior books. The world building is so good and I find myself lost in all the different places the novel takes the reader. We meet new characters AND get to see so many old characters. I love how the author easily interchanges and uses all the characters from the past to develop the story. Meredith joins Samara her leader on a mission where she meets her mate. Oliver is scared when he meets her because he is under the rule of his dad a prejudiced human. He wants nothing more than to save and protect his mate from his father. Can their love and lives survive this? This series is definitely one you want to read from the beginning just so you understand the background information. It is well worth it bc it is a well written and interesting series. I definitely recommend it!
