I absolutely loved this read! It honestly felt like I was watching a movie with how fast-paced and action-packed it was. The story perfectly blends sci-fi, mystery, and thrilling twists that kept me hooked from start to finish.
What really made it special, though, was the connection to South Africa. The mentions of familiar places and experiences added such a personal touch. The Deja vu hit home with me.
I loved the fact that it was set in my hometown with local references I could visualise. This was my first suspense/thriller and I loved the easy style of writing and how you got sucked into the character's point of view; feeling frustrated, excited, angry and relieved as you went down the twists and turns of the story. I can't wait to read the other books!
Wayne Roux doesn’t just tell a story, he makes you feel it. There’s a haunting undercurrent to the writing that stays with you long after you close the book, the kind of lingering echo that makes you want to revisit passages just to re-experience their power.
