In Vol. 5, the very first episode is titled “Aku Pingin Sakit Flu!”, and the funny thing is, I read it while I was actually sick with the flu. It felt oddly relatable and comforting. Thank you for keeping me company, Miiko 🥲 The slice-of-life element really hits differently when your real life matches the story.

Compared to the previous volume, this one focuses more on friendship than family. There are many stories about Miiko going out and spending time outside her usual environment, so it doesn’t just feel centered around home or school routines. The hangout episodes with her friends are especially fun and refreshing.

Of course, there are still plenty of Miiko × Tappei moments. Some scenes are surprisingly bold, there’s even one that makes Tappei visibly shocked. It’s not a huge dramatic shift, just small moments, but noticeable enough to make you go “wow.” Their dynamic is still shy and sweet, but these little developments make it more exciting.

In my previous review, I mentioned that Miiko seems sensitive to supernatural things. In this volume, it’s clear that it’s not just Miiko, other characters in her world can sense or see unusual things too. But everything is wrapped in humor, so it never feels scary, just playful and light.

Interestingly, the last two episodes don’t feature Miiko at all. They focus on other students in her school environment, even from different classes. I really like that each story clearly shows the class number at the beginning (like Grade 5 or Grade 6), which makes the world feel more structured and connected.

Vol. 5 feels wider in scope, expanding friendships, subtle romance progress, and even the side characters’ lives, while still keeping that warm, funny charm.

Gara-gara Miiko makan donat, jadi pengen donat juga ^^

Sampai vol.

Cerita lainnya, baca sendiri deh...

Gambar covernya sedikit promosi di sini, menyebutkan salah satu rumah produksi donat. Hahaha.

Cerita favorit saya, "Yoshiki Sang Bintang."
