ABOUT THE This is a SHORT book. There was an art of memory associated with rhetoric, and then about two millenia later, there was a Renaissance fashion where creating one's own art of memory was almost a rite of passage. The author has examined these systems and found them to invariably be geared towards concrete things, even though they may have an occult bent. This is a secular art of memory intended to put remembering abstractions front and center. ABOUT THE Christos Jonathan Seth Hayward wears many hats as a author, philosopher, theologian, artist, poet, wayfarer, philologist, inventor, web guru, teacher. Some have asked, "If a much lesser C.S. Lewis were Orthodox, what would he be like?" And the answer may well be, "C.J.S. Hayward." Hayward has lived in the U.S., Malaysia, England, and France, and holds master's degrees bridging math and computers (UIUC), and philosophy and theology (Cambridge).
C.J.S. Hayward is an Orthodox Christian author who holds master's degrees bridging math and computers (UIUC), and theology and philosophy (Cambridge, England). He has had many interests and many studies, and now is turning to seek what he really believes is most important. His heart's desire is to go to Mount Athos in Greece and become a monk.
He is working on raising funds for expenses for the pilgrimage he needs to get there.
