Six Wives and Their Husband Henry

Rate this book
We’re all familiar with the rhyme- it’s how we remember the six wives of Henry VIII. Katherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Katherine Parr are famous for being the other halves of England’s most married monarch. But how much do we know about the women themselves?

Picked this up on a recent trip to the Tower of London. I was already familiar with a lot of the content, but it's always interesting to re-read and some facts never fail to surprise! Nice format and design too.

i don't really have any opinions on this book, like i read it and it was interesting and at times it was just completely reading these queens to filth like calling them ugly or dumb or in some cases both, like leave my loves alone. i did think that the information in this book was very very basic like if you have any level of general knowleage towards to the six wives of henry viii you will not learn anything from this book but it was a nice and well researched book and it is a really good introduction to this topic.

I picked up this book at the Tower of London gift shop. It is a quick read, but with many interesting facts, some of which I didn’t know before. The layout of the book was also very appealing. I passed the book on to my teenage daughter who loves “Six” and she enjoyed this book as well!

I think my favourite thing about this book is its title, why has this not been used before? 😃 thoroughly enjoyed it and a great start to probably Englands most famous Queens
