George is the hero of this story. George is someone you will want to get to know. George has downs syndrome. A unique blend of computer science fiction, disability awareness, myth, love and everyday life. This is a ground breaking, moving, funny and acutely observed novel which can be read and re-read on many levels. Helen Collins has a gift for creating emotionally compelling, complex characters and ideas.
I read the book as I know the author, I was curious. Sadly the book could be written about a society 30 years ago or the system 1 year ago.
Beautifully Written. Insightful. George and Tracy cant help falling in love. Disability has no power to stop this. George's Mum struggling to accept George as a person and not a disability is heart breaking. You will not be disappointed.
