WHO IS THIS AUTHOR? WHICH HOLE DID SHE COME FROM?

Because she gotta be one of the fastest authors to become my all time favourites.

With that said though. Before you adding her on your TBR. Listen. I know my community here. I know some of you are freaks. And you'll fucking love her as much as I do right now. So go ahead. Have as much fun as I do with this one.

However, there's another half of you would find this... umm. How should I say this? Too much? The one that didn't like too much fluids in their romance. Because, honestly, this one is so filthy.

And there's a lot of fluids we're talking here.

Insta-lust turned into love within a few days. The MCs have a huge age gap (h18/H37) and the story heavily focuses on the spice and breeding. If readers are into that, this book will definitely deliver. Also, check out the author's note about the tropes or themes included in the story.

I can't believe that 2024 was May Alder's debut year?! It's insane that she released all these books this year and that they all hit the spot 🌚.

I've absolutely fallen in love with her work, with this book in particular being my favourite of hers so far. I can't wait to see what's next!!

definitely not my favorite of May’s

There were things I liked: her backstory, her spine, her spark, his insecurity, his obsession with her (at times). But there was a LOT I couldn’t get into. I’m not into DD/bg nicknames. I’m not into him carrying her places like her feet don’t work just fine. I’m definitely not into him pressuring her into multiple bbs just because his kink is outta control.

If those are your things this book will definitely check all your boxes. I’ll stick with Alder’s other books (so far Guardian’s Angel is winning).

I enjoyed this MF big rig trucker meets runaway girl. It had well written, age gap, characters, lots of hurt comfort, hot first time sex, and a lot of heart in a good plot. Wyatt and Lily made a great couple and the pathos in the beginning of their unwilling relationship was very well written. Wyatt’s mom was a good character, too.
MF’s can be hit or miss. This one did well.
I ran through some more books of this new to me author.
I’m going to rate and review one other that I liked.

This was a wild ride. Wyatt is even wilder. This was such a good read. It’s fast paced and such a good read. It literally had me lol’ing at times. Especially when she met his mother, had me dying laughing. If you like the tropes below I recommend reading.

Okay, let's get the good things out of the way before I rant about this book. The writing is good and the smut is absolutely delicious. I am a sucker for somnopholia so I gobbled the first scene up. And... that's it.

I saw some reviews of people saying this was a cute relationship and I just... did we read the same thing? I mean, I know it's fiction but it still was not cute.

This relationship is absolutely disgusting. The girl is 18, literally turned 18 the day they met, and the man is 37. THIRTY SEVEN to her EIGHTEEN. The fckn age gap is older than the girl. Absolutely vile. Not to mention, the girl has been sheltered and abused her whole life which means she is probably even less developed in terms of being an adult.

Dude comes in her three times, they end up not being able to find morning after pills. Fine. Whatever. BUT. There is a point where she tries to sneak by him to go buy morning after pills and the man literally manhandles her away from the pharmacy and tells her that she will not be doing that. What in the fuck? Seriously.

Also, the dude's mother???? He goes to introduce them, the girl tells the mother everything. EVERYTHING. From how she got on his truck, to the intimate stuff they did, to how he called her a whore. And do you know what his mother said? She said; "when you know, you know." EXCUSE ME WTF??? If that is not the most disgusting shit I've heard in my life. If I had a son and I heard all this I would lock him up in a basement where no one can find him.

Look, I have my book kinks like everyone else and I LOVE somnopholia as well as breeding. BUT. The stuff in this was not consensual. It was dubcon AT BEST. She tells him multiple times she will not have his babies and he just says "keep telling yourself that". Now, I don't know about you but I personally don't give a rat's ass about "I could tell she wanted it". Nope. Nopitty nope. She tells you she doesn't want your babies? Then you make sure she doesn't. You don't manipulate her into it. You don't breed her when she's sleeping. She explicitly told him multiple times she didn't want it.

Anyways, now I did basically just read this book because I heard the smut was great. And it was. IF YOU DONT COUNT THE COUNTLESS BLARING RED FLAG SCENES. God. Why couldn't this author make her 28 and him 47? Like, why not? That's a much better match-up. I'm down to read nasty and somewhat concerning stuff when both the mcs are ADULTS (or at least with no age-gap like 18 fmc 19 mmc or sth). The girl that just turned eighteen is not an adult just because the law says so. She is still basically a child. If y'all don't realize how nasty what happens in this book is then idk what to tell you.

Just like the summary says our h, Dolly, runs away from home and ends up hitching a ride from a truck driver who happens to be our H, Wyatt.

This was surprisingly sweet & cute but also very spicy and heavy on the daddy kink. ‘Twas hot 🥵💦👅 don’t get me wrong but it started to drag for me around the 50% mark & I was like how is this not over already? It eventually picked back up and I enjoyed seeing the development 🤰 rather than only an epilogue.

I did breeze through some of the sex scenes though. I was like ok we got it, they just kept doing the same thing. I just wanted to wrap up the story at this point 🫠

BUT, nevertheless, I did enjoy it & had fun reading it. It was sweet (while also taboo) & Dolly being taken care of just gave me warm and fuzzy vibes. I would’ve liked a longer ending seeing the interactions with the kids!

I wanted to give both Dolly and Wyatt a hug😢💞! So sweet.

If you are a fan of the age gap, pregnancy tropes, br33ding, and l4ct4tion k¡ñk and don’t question the outcomes of these romances, then you’ll love May Alder’s books. She knows what readers like us want and puts it all in her stories. May Alder gives readers the romance and a plot but still provides us with the insta-lust/love, the book boyfriend who is over the top but not too much that he knows the right time to back away.

I’ve been working through May Alder’s books and recently read “Runaway Whirlwind.” Dolly had just turned eighteen and left home suddenly due to circumstances that were not good in her home. From there, she hitchhikes, and 37-year-old Wyatt, a big, burly truck driver, hesitantly picks her up. I loved the romance that began between the two. There’s a little angst thrown in there because of Dolly’s situation with her family. Wyatt is incredibly supportive and protective. There’s the D4ddy/Babyg¡rl dynamic, and as mentioned earlier, br33ding and l4ct4tion k¡nk.

I enjoyed “Runaway Whirlwind” as I am a fan and reader of these tropes, and I can’t wait for more from this author.

look, I'm pretty convinced there's a commentary on bodily autonomy somewhere in here. it's just buried under dubcon somno breeding kink that kicked off after a meet cute that was inches from becoming vehicular manslaughter and a big misunderstanding about whether or not this teen runaway was a lot lizard (love sex workers and so does the fmc, apparently) 👁️👁️




...none of those words appear in the Bible. big sigh. 2.5 rounded up.

Whoa, that was intense! 🔥 Loved it!

Okay, "Runaway Whirlwind" by May Alder definitely took me on a ride! If you're into age gap, a protective alpha male, and a runaway heroine with a whole lot of heart, you'll probably love this. It's got that May Alder heat, for sure, but also a really strong emotional core.

Dolly—the heroine's—situation is rough and you just want her to find someone to take care of her. And let me tell you, the hero—Wyatt—steps up! There's definitely some insta-love going on, but honestly, it worked for me in this context. Eh, who am I kidding, I'm a sucker for insta-love trope. 😍

It's got some very specific kinks, so be aware of that going in. But if you're looking for a steamy, intense OTT romance with a heroine who finds her strength and a hero who's all in, then give this one a shot. I'm definitely a fan! ❤️

Wyatt—the gentle giant—being so freaking sweet:

I remember suddenly that she had fallen and scraped her knees, bleeding through her torn jeans before we left the last truck stop. Sitting up on my knees, I scoot toward her and wrap my hands around her calves, softly massaging the lean muscles I know must be sore after hiking on the highway for who knows how long. It wasn't even his fault that Dolly fell and hurt her knees. Wyatt is too sweet! Gah! Don't mind me, I'm just jealous of Dolly. 💀

This book was okay. I would say 75% of it is just complete and utter smut.

The story follows dolly who runs away from home because of her abusive father, and the trucker Wyatt whose truck she gets into.

It is an instant love, with him and her sleeping together the day they met and every day after. Hense the 75% smut

This book is full of babies and breeding kink so if you’re not into that , then this book isn’t going to be for you .

I gave it 3 stars.

Este tipo es un patético y un perdedor en la máxima expresión de la palabra.

Le da raite a la protagonista de 18 años mientras el tiene 37 casi llegando a los cuarenta.

Al primer día de conocerse mientras duerme la empieza a tocar (porfavor eso que) y pues ella le corresponde todo esto sin usar ningún tipo de protección???? La autora nos pide que hagamos como que las ETS no existen en su mundo pero imagínate acostarte con un puto camionero que no conoces y no te proteges, que asco la verdad.

Cuando terminan la primera reacción de el es decirle que ella es una zorra que lo engatuso para que le diera raite todo esto mientras el fue el que empezó a tocar a la fmc mientras dormía.

En el curso de 3 días, tienen relaciones 3 veces sin protección y cuando ella está buscando la píldora del día siguiente a el no le parece porque el quiere tener hijos, WEY NO LA CONOCES, y pues algo importante TIENE 18 AÑOS, que asco.

Y eso es porque pobrecito le rompieron el corazón, quería casarse y formar una familia y pues no sé le hizo. Entonces agarra a la protagonista que es una virgen inexperta, que huye de su padre, que depende de él, económicamente y aparte en transporte. Y le parece perfecto quererla embarazar.

Según el que la desea que nunca se sintió así blah, blah, blah (perdedor) y se va a quedar con ella porque es "suya" más bien, encontró una incubadora y dijo de aquí soy.

Y luego el todo normal PRESENTADO LA a su mamá como su prometida y la FMC de que ??? No nos vamos a casar, y el todo de que ahí te equivocas, osea el siempre se le anda imponiendo diciendo que se va a hacer como si ella fuera un perro que recogió y adoptó nomás así. Y la mamá como si fuera la cosa más común que su hijo se quiera casar con una chica de 18 años que conocía hace 4 días.

La protagonista es otra idiota más, simplemente está con el porque se siente segura y la chingada y le gusta que le controle y sobre todo porque tiene DADDY ISSUES.

Toda la relación me da un asco, el tipo se la pasa diciéndole a esta adolescente barely legal que quiere formar una familia con ella y que no quiere que use calzones al punto de tirarlos a la basura, aquí tenemos 4 días de que se conocieron.

Ah y cabe mencionar que siempre abusa de ella cuando está dormida y le toma fotos sin su consentimiento, literal dice que no se quitaría aunque ella se lo pidiera porque pues es suya entonces puede hacer lo que sea con su cuerpo, es un asqueroso este tipejo, lo quiero m4tar.

Este tipejo nomas piensa en metérsela todo el tiempo, y que conocer la fue el destino, señor porfa tiene 40 años da pena.

Esto se resumen a un cuarenton soltero y perdedor que se fija en una chamaquita q conoció hace tres días, la agarra para embarazarla por el capricho de tener una familia y una chica con ganas de tener una figura paterna que cayó en las manos equivocas.


Lo odie el protagonista es un pendejo, es el típico "está con menores porque las de su edad no le hacen caso." Y la FMC necesita terapia.

This book is definitely not for everyone but oh my god did I enjoy reading it and the plot was surprisingly good for the amount of spicy scenes. It definitely could’ve been shorter, though.
